"Mr. Long, little princess's fever is not going down," Faye's nanny said in a worried voice when the little princess's body temperature didn't go down after another night.

To Long Jie's dismay, doctors were of no help and he still couldn't reach Feng Siyan's phone.

" What does Dr. William have to say about it?" Long Jie asked the nanny. Many top pediatricians were brought in a single day and none of them could diagnose Faye's condition. It was as if doctors hadn't heard about such illness ever.

Yet, they were very much intrigued by this rare disease they had not heard of before. However, Long Jie outrightly refused to let Faye be their new experintal project.

"He is not able to diagnose the illness either," the nanny said in a worried voice. " As I said before, it's not the first ti that the little princess's body temperature rose all of a sudden. However, it was always Mr. Feng who would stay with the little princess when that happens. Please try to get Mr. Feng on the phone, only he knows the cure to her sudden illness."

Faye's nanny wasn't only an ordinary babysitter. She was the best in this field. Of course, the best would be brought for Lord Tang's daughter.

Long Jie sighed. He had been trying to reach Feng Siyan's phone but the latter was unreachable.

'God, help get Feng Siyan on the phone at least for once.'

As if God could hear his words, his subordinate ca anxiously towards him.

"Sir, Mr. Gu has been trying to call you.He asked to inform you to pick up your phone. I'm afraid it seems urgent."

As Long Jie heard his subordinate saying, he imdiately looked for his phone, and indeed Gu Tian had called him a few tis.

He quickly called back.

"Ah-Jie?" Feng Siyan's tense voice was heard. "Her body temperature is still not going down?"

"No. The doctors are doing everything possible --"

Before Long Jie could complete his sentence, Feng Siyan spoke, shocking Long Jie even more. What did he an by it? Surely, he was Lord Tang's most trusted subordinate but this….

"Send them back quickly!"

"Ah-Siyan--"

"I know you are shocked by what I said," Feng Siyan said, taking a deep breath. "But Ah-Jie, what I'm trying to tell you may sound strange. Heck, it may even sound like I've lost my mind but it is the truth."

"Ah-Jie, little princess's condition is not caused by any disease. It's not the first ti sothing like this has happened to her...Her body temperature rises as her anger level rises… She is angry and if we don't do anything right now, she can end up falling sick for real this ti."

"You're not making any sense," Long Jie said after a long ti. "But I'm willing to believe you because it is you who said this."

Sowhere far from them, Feng Siyan's usual rigid face softened; however, the pang of pain in his eyes was not mistaken.

'Master, please wake up. Little princess may end up burning herself this ti.' Feng Siyan said in his heart, chuckling to herself.' You know it is not possible for her to burn herself yet every ti her body temperature rises, you will always be there with her to make sure she won't end up burning herself. Please wake up. She needs you again. Please, Master. We all need you. We don't know how to live in a world where you don't exist.'

"Ah-Siyan?" Long Jie's voice jolted Feng Siyan from his dreamland.

Feng Siyan cleared his throat and his deanor went back to ice cold like before.

"Soak her in cold water and try to talk to her. Try to know what triggered her anger this ti," Feng Siyan said. He paused for a mont to think about sothing. "And...it will be tough for you to know the reason as you won't find a crease on her face which will tell you that she is anything but calm. But don't take her serene face seriously, she has learned at a young age to copy Master's relaxed expressions. Go, Ah-Jie."

"Okay," Long Jie said. "I'll talk to you later."

He intended to keep his conversation with Feng Siyan short because he didn't want Faye to suffer more. Even Feng Siyan told him the most bizarre reason for Faye's condition. He was willing to believe it for now, because there was nothing else he could believe.

***

"Angel, will you tell your uncle what's troubling you?" Long Jie asked her. He clicked his tongue falling for the fifth ti straight. There was not even a ripple in her eyes which could tell she was hearing him.

Right now, Faye was soaking in ice-cold water as per Feng Siyan's instructions in the bathtub.

Nobody was in sight, not even her nanny except for Long Jie.

Although there was no expression on Faye's face, yet he could tell that she was in pain.

If Faye could speak she would have quickly retorted,'what's pain?'

And as for why Long Jie was calling Faye "Angel", he didn't know what else to call her. The air of purity and innocence around the little girl compelled him to call her " Angel."

He touched her forehead again, and it didn't feel like her temperature had lessened if not increased.

"Would you like to talk to your dad?" Long Jie tried once again and he swore that he saw a flicker in her eyes.

He got the cue he was waiting for so long.

"Well, I won't take you to your dad," Long Jie said, shrugging his shoulders. He behaved as if he didn't care. "You won't tell why you are angry and I won't take you to your dad!"

He was sitting on the edge of the bathtub, negotiating with the littlest Tang.

'Sotis when a soft approach fails, you gotta take a hard approach.'

This was the ideology Long Jie was going to follow.
