With heavy regret, Suri can only give up after all she can't push soone so strongly, or did she have to stoop so low to use seduction on soone now?

Evan was like stone, who for the whole mont sat indifferently. He seed more focused on eating the desert and drinking coffee than her proposal itself.

Getting up, after paying for the bills, both of them got away but at the very next mont, a woman who sat nearby while looking around froze as she noticed sothing.

"HUH! Isn't that Suri...And who is..."

Words got stuck in her throat and her eyes widened for a mont. The back, the walk was completely similar to past figures of her husband.

It had a striking resemblance and similarity.

A very painful mory of the past flashed in her eyes and gripped her heart tightly. The past where her children were taken away was like a cord wrapped around her neck.

Her hysteria flared up. Even if the man might not be what she thought of she couldn't let go of hope and imdiately without a second thought, she hurried towards the counter, her heart pounding with a blend of anticipation and nervousness.

She needed to know the man's identity who was there, and if possible, she could take a look at the face of the person.

Sadly, the person had already gotten away so she could only look for the reception.

As she approached the reception, her urgency was t with indifference.

"I'm sorry, ma'am, I can't disclose information about our guests nor can I show you with the cara," the receptionist insisted politely, maintaining a professional deanour.

The woman's frustration grew, her voice rising slightly. "But you don't understand. That man over there is soone I need to find."

"He is soone I need to speak to urgently."

The receptionist remained firm. "I apologise, ma'am, but I can't help you."

The woman's temper flared, her status and she shouted "Do you know who I am?" she demanded, her voice carrying across the room. "I won't stand for this!"

She knew that she was being unreasonable but she had to.

The commotion attracted the attention of other patrons and staff. Murmurs spread, and soon the manager appeared, trying to diffuse the situation.

Noticing the woman, the manager's expression beca pale."

"Miss Claire...."

"Call your boss!"An authoritative voice erupted.

"But Miss..."

However, Claire was adamant. She wouldn't leave until she had so answers.

"Call George imdiately and tell him. Claire Mahajan is here"

Mahajan...

Everyone gasped in shock hearing the surna. After all, you would be an idiot if you didn't hear the na of the 11th richest family in the world.

Evan, anwhile, oblivious to the unfolding drama, continued on his way.

...

"Are you sure you don't want to ride with ?" Suri asked, her brow furrowed with scepticism.

Evan sighed, a bitter smile flashed on his lips. "I don't think I can ride with you after what you just suggested."

Confusion flickered across Suri's face montarily, and then understanding dawned on her like a lightning strike.

"Oh," she breathed, realisation spreading. "You... you're feeling embarrassed."

"No!" Evan retorted firmly, rubbing his forehead in frustration. "It's not that. You're beautiful, and stunning even in person compared to on-screen. But after your proposal, I feel self-conscious around you."

Suri blinked, then burst into soft giggle. People passed by, casting admiring glances at her, only to hastily avert their gaze when Evan shot them a sharp glare.

"Haha!" Suri giggled, trying to stifle her amusent. "And here I was wondering if my charms had faded. For a mont, I thought you weren't interested in won or—"

"Enough," Evan interrupted and his glare intensified.

Damn! What kind of tis are these?

Just because you aren't interested in man, people label you as gay.

But Suri couldn't contain her laughter, shaking her head as she continued to chuckle softly.

Evan took a deep breath, fighting the urge to smile. He turned away with his shoulders tense with frustration and embarrassnt.

"Evan, co on," Suri called after him, her tone teasing but gentle. "You don't want to miss out on accompanying such a charming woman."

"Go to hell," Evan muttered under his breath with mixture of irritation and fondness in his voice. He hailed a passing cab and quickly climbed in, the door slamming shut behind him.

As the cab pulled away, Suri watched Evan disappear into the distance, a touch of remorse in her expression.

"Good n are hard to find," she murmured softly to herself, her gaze lingering on the spot where he had stood.

Soon, she sat in the car and left unaware of the man erging from the shadows and reported sothing on call.

"Boss, I saw them and also recorded the cab number..Its going to..."

....

Evan humd softly with a pleasant expression. Though he rejected it, the proposal boosted his confidence after all this was the first ti soone had proposed to him out of nowhere.

'System, what do you think about Suri?'

[...]

[Why are you asking to host? Do you want to reconsider?]

'No...I don't know if she likes but the main reason for the proposal stemd from her guilt. She felt guilty and in a way wanted to make up for it. The way things were going, it might end in one-sided. Moreover, we both are going to be busy so it wasn't easy to cultivate feelings after, and would be a bitter pill to swallow if we found that we weren't each other's match...'

[So, you want to know each other first right?']

[Right?]

The system gave up after getting no explanation.

It seems so single dogs deserve to be single.

[Host, you should consider as Su...Nevermind...]

'Huh!What are we saying?'Evan was startled by the system 's sudden pause and wanted to pray further when his smartphone rang.

It was a call from Aria so he picked up quickly.

"Hello!"

"Yeah, everything went well. There weren't any problems but Suri did sothing that made think as if she was playing a prank."

"You want to know...Just let arrive. I can't say one phone."

"I will be reaching...Shit..."

His words caught in his throat as he saw a speeding truck changing the lane and toiling in their direction.

"FUCKKK!"

"Uncle left….Left…Le…"

Evan roared and scread while reaching his hands toward the steering wheel as he saw the cab driver almost lose his soul in panic and his body trembled fright.

Evan even wondered if the person's soul left due to a heart attack.

"Go left....."

Sadly, the wheel seed to be turning wildly.

Startled, Evan jerked his head up just in ti to see headlights bearing down on him. It was a massive truck, hurtling towards him at an alarming speed. Panic surged on him as he instinctively swerved to the side, but it was too late.

With a deafening crash, the truck slamd into the side of Evan's car, sending it spinning wildly across the asphalt. The impact was like a thunderclap followed by the sound of tal screeching and glass shattering.

Ti seed to slow as Evan's car skidded off the road, flipping over violently before slamming to a stop with a bone-jarring crash.

Inside, Evan was tossed around like a ragdoll. The airbags exploded with a loud whoosh, filling the car with dust and deflated nylon.

Evan felt a sharp pain in his side and tasted blood in his mouth. He tried to move, but every part of him ached fiercely. His vision flickered, struggling to stay focused as he fought to stay awake.

Despite the agony and shock, Evan's quick reflexes and sheer luck led to a sudden transition. As the car flipped, his body was flung out through the broken window. He slamd hard onto the road with his body skidding along the asphalt, but he managed to avoid being crushed further by the wreckage.

Lying there, bloodied and battered, Evan's vision grew dim. The cold asphalt felt distant as darkness began to close in.

Amid the chaos, he heard distant shouts and the rising wail of sirens.

Outside, ergency responders rushed to the scene with loud screams. Smoke poured from the wrecked vehicles, mingling with the cold night air.

His breathing beca shallow and ragged, and just before he lost consciousness, he could barely make out the frantic movents of the ergency responders rushing toward him. Then, everything faded to black.
