Just as suddenly had Walter's skin shifted, it shifted again before the transformation slowed, and Walter's face shifted into sothing eerily familiar.

Evan squinted, his breath still ragged from the pain. "Adrian? Aren't you Walter's secretary?" He paused, his brow furrowing. "Wait. No… if you can change into anyone, why are you taking on his appearance now?"

Walter—or Adrian—smirked, his reptilian eyes narrowing. "Sir Evan, you still don't understand your situation, do you?"

Evan's jaw tightened. "What are you talking about?"

Before Adrian could respond, a massive explosion shook the building. The walls trembled, and for a brief mont, the world outside lit up as if it were midday.

BOOOOOM!

The sound was deafening and reverberated through the room. Evan instinctively turned toward the source, his heart pounding.

Aurora's voice rang in his head, calm but urgent.

[Sir, our ship has been hit.] Read exclusive content at My Virtual Library Empire

Evan's eyes widened in shock. "What? How?"

Aurora's tone remained steady despite the worsening situation as the spaceship was forced to land nearby.

[A laser beam struck from deep underground. It blasted through the building and hit us. I managed to react in ti to prevent total destruction, but the ship has taken significant damage.]

Evan clenched his fists, his mind racing. He turned back to Adrian, who was watching him with a smug expression.

"You ca here to fight Sir Walter," Adrian said, his voice dripping with condescension. "But…" He gestured dramatically toward the chaos outside.

Evan's eyes narrowed. "But what?"

Adrian's smirk widened as he continued, "He's not even here. He has already left—with the entire Xenomorph army—to attack your base."

Evan's breath hitched, and for a mont, he felt the weight of the trap closing around him.

Adrian chuckled softly, shaking his head. "Oh, whom am I even talking to? You really don't know anything about us, do you?"

Evan's glare hardened. "Then tell ."

Adrian's tone shifted, almost pitying. "We are Xenomorphs. In your terms, a reptilian species capable of altering out appearance and character at will. And most of us are as strong as I am." He leaned closer, his reptilian eyes gleaming.

"But I am the strongest under Sir Walter. That's why I serve as his secretary. If he had stayed to face you, you wouldn't have lasted five minutes."

Evan's mind reeled as Adrian's words sank in. He gritted his teeth, trying to suppress the rising panic. "So… I walked into a trap."

Adrian clapped his hands mockingly. "Finally, you get it! But it's far too late for that knowledge to save you."

Evan's fists tightened. He took a step forward, ignoring the burning pain in his chest.

"Trap or not," he growled, "I'm still standing. And I'm not done yet."

Adrian tilted his head, a flicker of amusent crossing his face. "Brave words. Let's see if you can back them up."

Evan lunged forward, his movents fueled by fury and desperation.

Adrian smirked, his voice dripping with mockery. "You don't need to worry. Sir Walter will take good care of your people. He'll even make sure to bury them properly."

He paused, his grin widening into a sinister grin. "And your wife… oh, he'll take special care of her. After all, she is your wife."

Adrian chuckled, but his laughter was abruptly cut off when Evan's icy voice interrupted.

"Have you had enough of your jokes?"

Adrian turned, and his smirk faltered when he saw Evan standing tall, his expression frozen and cold as death itself. Evan's eyes, devoid of warmth or rcy, bore into Adrian, radiating an eerie calm that sent a chill down his spine.

Evan slowly cracked his neck, the sound breaking the tense silence. "Since you've said what you wanted," he murmured, his voice low and nacing, "let's get this over with."

Before Adrian could react, Evan moved. The ground beneath him shattered, and the air around him exploded with a deafening boom, a sonic wave tearing through the space.

Adrian's eyes widened in shock.

"What—" he gasped, but Evan was already there.

In an instant, he appeared above Adrian, his hand clamping around Adrian's head like a steel vice. Adrian's entire body was locked up, paralyzed by Evan's crushing grip. He struggled, but it was useless.

With a terrifying roar, Evan slamd Adrian into the ground. The impact sent Adrian spinning like a ragdoll, carving a deep trench in the earth. Adrian scread, his voice raw with panic.

"No! Wait—" he tried to beg, but Evan didn't stop. His grip tightened on Adrian's skull, his muscles flexing with terrifying power.

Adrian's scream turned to shrieks of terror as Evan pulled. Flesh tore, and bone cracked with a sickening crunch. With a brutal motion, Evan ripped Adrian's head clean off. Blood gushed from the stump as the last of Adrian's screams died down in his throat, his face still showing the shock and terror.

The searing blood splattered across Evan's body, burning through his skin, and exposing his flesh and organs but he didn't care. Pain no longer mattered.

Evan held the severed head for a mont, his icy gaze studying it with disdain. "This is all you amounted to," he muttered coldly.

Without hesitation, he dropped the head to the ground before crushing it under his foot. The remains splattered across the broken floor.

BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!

He stomped it to pieces until nothing remained except the putrid mass of flesh and bone.

[Sir it's dead. Even if it could still stitch its head, it isn't in the condition to do so. Please, calm down.]

Evan heard Aurora's words but he didn't calm down, rather a dense energy erged from his body that shook the entire place.

The floor beneath his feet trembled, cracks splintering outward.

"Aurora," Evan said, his voice calm but firm.

Understanding what Evan ant, Aurora answered imdiately.

[Sir, the fight is still going on. Miss Suri is holding the line and taking command of our forces.]

"Can our spaceships still fly?"

[The main thrusters are damaged. We can use alternative aircraft to reach the base, but it will take ti.]

Evan clicked his tongue in frustration. "That won't be fast enough."

His gaze then dropped to his suit. An idea ford. A faint smile played at the corner of his lips.

The ground trembled beneath his feet, and the air grew heavy with energy. Objects around him began to float, pulled by the sheer force of the energy radiating from his body.

His armour responded, snapping into place around him.

And then, with a thunderous boom, Evan launched into the sky like a missile, leaving a shockwave in his wake as he shot toward the battlefield.

The fight was far from over.
