Chapter 80: Chapter 80: The Girl Who’s Not Quite Right in the Head

“Fancy him?” Ah Da frowned, not quite understanding what “fancy” ant, “Maybe it’s because I owe him a lot of money.”

Jade Pot puzzled, “You owe money?”

“Yes, a lot of money,” Ah Da counted, “He broke the seal to release , and I promised to give him pearls to exchange for money as a token of gratitude. Then he lights the incense burner for every day, buys many clothes, consults Master Ting Chan—all of these cost money…”

Not considering it earlier, Ah Da just realized how much she owed Qin Yu. The debt was enormous; could she ever repay it?

The little treasury really would be drained completely.

Little Pink Bottle said with a grin, “Isn’t it obvious? If he didn’t like you, why would he do so much for you? Didn’t you say he is very rich? If he already has so much money, he couldn’t possibly be after yours, right?”

...

“Second that, I find no fault in that statent,” Jade Pot rarely aligned with Little Pink Bottle, but the true appearance of the little incense burner was indeed too beautiful not to remind her.

Ah Da wore a blank expression.

“Calling you a naive person is spot on; it seems you didn’t grasp a thing from the principles I explained to you before,” said Little Pink Bottle speechlessly, “Think about it carefully. With no relatives or reasons, he went to great lengths to help you—there must be an ulterior motive.”

Jade Pot teased from the side, “Don’t overdo it, you sound as if you have a wealth of experience.”

“I may not have experienced it, but I’ve seen it,” Little Pink Bottle sighed deeply, “I’ve seen countless lovelorn n and won over hundreds of years, all kinds of love and hate, human emotions are just these, and I learned to see through them a long ti ago.”

Ah Da’s eyes were wide as she earnestly praised, “You know so much.”

“Just so-so,” boasted Little Pink Bottle, “Aren’t you over a thousand years old? That’s even longer than . Haven’t you ever seen or understood human emotions?” Little Pink Bottle was anxious for her, “Now that you’ve turned into a human, be careful not to be taken advantage of.”

“But I spent most of those thousand years in the underground palace,” Ah Da retorted, “Sotis Qin Yu does bully , but it’s just a pinch on the face, it’s not too bad, right?”

Little Pink Bottle: “This girl is hopeless.”

“Indeed, becoming human didn’t make her any wiser; she’s bound to suffer losses,” Jade Pot concurred.

“It’s not that serious,” Ah Da felt they were overly worried; Qin Yu wasn’t that bad.

The young girl had a delicate figure, her fair-pink little face as exquisite as a sculpture, her three thousand black hairs tied into an intricate braid resting on her chest, all over her emanated an indescribable aura.

The surrounding crowd’s gazes unintentionally fell on Ah Da, seeing her eyes curved in earnest conversation with the antiques, talking to herself for a long while—her behavior was indeed odd.

Many sighed to themselves, how could such a fairy-like beautiful girl be not quite right in the head?

Long Qi had seen Ah Da in her diminutive form and was no longer surprised by anything unusual about her; he acted as a human barricade to prevent others from getting too close.

The staff mber standing with him clearly didn’t have Long Qi’s composure, as his twitching brows betrayed his baffled state of mind.

After making small talk, Ah Da took out her smartphone and aid it at Little Pink Bottle and Jade Pot, “Let’s take a photo and send it to Bronze Sword; she was supposed to co today, but sothing unexpected happened on the way.”

Little Pink Bottle got excited at the ntion of a photo, “Make sure to capture my heroic stance nicely. Yes, yes, yes, not just the front—take a photo of my back too; there’s a dragon pattern on it.”

Following his instructions, Ah Da took photos from all sides, sent two to Bronze Sword, and also sent two to Qin Yu.

A man approached silently, his leather shoes making no noise. Long Qi saw him and imdiately assud a serious expression, stepping forward.

“Young Master.”

Qin Hengzhi stopped, his gaze still lingering on the girl in front of the display case, a smile playing at the corners of his mouth, his tone gentle, “No need to be nervous, I’m just here to say hello.”

Long Qi’s expression remained cold, unbudging, “I must ask the young master not to trouble .”

“Trouble?” Qin Hengzhi seed puzzled, then suddenly let out a self-mocking laugh, “You are my third brother’s capable assistant, how could I, a bastard of the Qin family, presu to trouble you?”

Long Qi’s face was still devoid of emotion. He was unclear why the elusive Young Master Qin, unlike Qin Xiu who always confronted Qin Yu with Qin Huaiming, would appear here at the Kyoto Museum. Qin Hengzhi was like an invisible man within the Qin family, soone the world thought cared little for fa or gain. Yet the reality was anyone’s guess.

Qin Hengzhi mocked himself for being a bastard. In reality, he was brought back by Mr. Qin himself, rightfully the Qin family’s eldest young master. However, he wasn’t in contention for the Qin Group’s inheritance—that wasn’t ant for a grandson who appeared out of the blue.

There was no strife or secret battles between Qin Hengzhi and Qin Yu, nor any interactions. After all, he was a mber of the Qin family. Outside, Long Qi still had to show so courtesy and address him as the young master.

“The young master jests.”

Qin Hengzhi’s peach-blossom eyes seed to smile but not quite, turning the conversation back to Ah Da, “When did a little girl appear beside my third brother? Which family’s young miss is she?”

Long Qi’s tone was indifferent, still not allowing him to approach Ah Da, “If the young master has any questions, you may ask the Third Young Master directly. Long Qi is only responsible for her safety; I know nothing else.”

Qin Hengzhi suppressed the darkness in his eyes, and when he looked up again, he had resud his usual graceful deanor.

“It’s fine, I was presumptuous.”

Before he left, Qin Hengzhi’s eyes once again turned to the little girl standing in front of the display case. His gaze t hers, a pair of eyes as clear as mountain spring water.

Three parts bewildered, four parts innocent, her palm-sized face was porcelain white and flawless, bright as the spring blossom and clear as the autumn moon. Just with this one glimpse, Qin Hengzhi understood why Qin Yu would keep her by his side.

Such a crystal-clear treasure, beautiful beyond words, like a blank canvas, where every hue to be added would be his own handiwork. This sense of accomplishnt and satisfaction would probably be irresistable to any man.

Seeing the little girl clench her phone nervously as their eyes t, her watery large eyes also showing fear, Qin Hengzhi couldn’t help but smile slightly. He was curious where Qin Yu had found such a curious little thing—it was truly interesting.

He had seen this little girl once before at the foot of Lingcheng Mountain; Long Qi was with her then too. Later, he had soone investigate her background but ca up with nothing.

How could a living person simply appear out of nowhere? An absence of information only ant that soone had deliberately erased her tracks. Who it could be, was self-evident.

Qin Yu went through so much trouble to cover up her past, it seed he truly valued the little girl.

How curious.

Qin Hengzhi’s expression subtly shifted, and with the manners of a humble gentleman, he lifted his hand to silently greet the girl before turning to leave.

Ah Da did not respond to his greeting; she had noticed Qin Hengzhi a while ago, but with Long Qi blocking, there was no need for her to co forward. From the dialogue between the two n, she could gather that this man was from the Qin family, calling him the young master ant he was Qin Yu’s elder brother?

Although he was handso too, he didn’t look anything like Qin Yu, and besides, his gaze was annoying.
