Chapter 33: Chapter 33: Escape

“So you’re Uncle Wen’s granddaughter, I thought you looked familiar.” Tang Bufan was handso, with naturally charming peach-blossom eyes and a smile on his face as he looked at Wen Min.

Wen Min felt sowhat relieved. It seed that the person in front of her didn’t intend to settle any scores with her. She couldn’t afford to be kicked out as soon as she arrived, especially since she was here on a mission.

“Let’s go,” Tang Bufan said, withdrawing his gaze and pulling Ah Da along towards the car.

The two got into a black Bentley, which then started up and drove out of the parking garage, passing by Wen Min.

Wen Min stood there, watching them leave until the car’s rear was no longer in sight. Only then did she allow her smile to fade. She thought to herself that anyone who could co and go freely here must have a close relationship with Qin Yu.

Could it be another young master from the Qin Family? Probably not, as Third Young Master was not on good terms with the Qin Family. Perhaps it was a friend of Qin Yu.

...

Whoever it was, it was soone that she and the Wen Family couldn’t afford to offend right now. Fortunately, she had managed to cut her losses in ti.

Wen Min pulled her suitcase with determination and started walking out.

Ah Da, passing by a villa, crouched down, completely hidden beneath the car hood until she was outside the gate and could sit up. She propped herself up with her hands to climb onto the seat, which was three tis her size, leaving her feet dangling in the air.

This was Ah Da’s first ti sitting in a car in such a formal manner. She had been in an incense burner before and had even spent several tis in the trunk, where it was pitch black and she couldn’t see a thing.

Tang Bufan pulled the car over to the side of the road and turned his head to look at the little girl leaning on the window, asking, “We’re out now, so where do you want to go have fun? I happen to have plenty of ti today.”

Ah Da turned her head and pointed to a large screen across the street, “Do you know how to et the people who appear on TV?”

Tang Bufan looked at the screen to see the rotating jewelry advertisent starring the popular actress Ning Jinglan and chuckled, “You’re a fan too? What, you want to et her?”

“No, not her,” Ah Da’s cheeks were warm, and she was sowhat embarrassed. She wasn’t very good at lying, but she couldn’t reveal the real reason to Tang Bufan, “A few days ago, I saw a TV drama, there’s a sister in it that I really like, and I’d like to et her.”

“Just because of that?” Tang Bufan asked.

Ah Da nodded, “Yes, that’s right.”

“Sounds a bit off, doesn’t it? Little Ade, do you have another motive?” Tang Bufan narrowed his eyes and pressed closer to Ah Da.

Ah Da panicked slightly, gripping the seatbelt tightly and defiantly looking up, “What motive could I possibly have? If you can’t do it, never mind, I’ll figure it out myself later.”

Tang Bufan’s hand lay casually on the steering wheel as he smiled, “Why the rush? Who said I couldn’t do it? It’s not just about going to et her, even getting her to co see you is no problem.”

He wasn’t exaggerating. eting a celebrity was not difficult. He had encountered ones that were crawling on the table before. But such things were better left unknown to children.

“Let’s go,” Tang Bufan started the car.

Ah Da looked at him, “You haven’t asked who I want to et yet. Where are we heading?”

Tang Bufan replied, “Then tell , who do you want to et? I’ll see if I can arrange it for you today.”

Ah Da opened her mouth and then hesitated. Previously, Bronze Sword had several identities and nas when walking around outside. Who knew which na she was using now?

Might be another newly concocted identity and na.

Why was this so difficult?

Seeing the young girl’s troubled expression, Tang Bufan smiled with a teasing glint in his eyes, “What’s wrong? You can’t even rember your own idol’s na? You’re not doing a great job as a fan, are you? That’s a fail.”

Ah Da’s tone was defeatist, “She’s not my idol.”

Noticing her distress, Tang Bufan dropped his playful deanor and asked, “Do you have a cell phone? Any photos?”

Ah Da shook her head, the sadness in her aura growing denser. The young girl bowed her head, her ink-black hair falling beside her cheeks, wilted like eggplant beaten by frost.

“I’m none the wiser with your answers, how am I supposed to help you find them? This is difficult,” Tang Bufan, resting his elbow on the car window, sighed lightly, his gaze lingering on Ah Da.

The young girl beca even sadder after asking, and after a while, she sighed, “If it’s like that, then forget it.”

There would be other chances. It was her own fault; in her excitent yesterday, she had forgotten to ask the maids and Uncle Wen about the actor’s na, the “Bronze Sword”. She couldn’t even rember the whole TV na—her mory was truly diocre.

The young girl was obviously struck by the news.

Tang Bufan picked up his phone to send a ssage, and after a while, the phone was tossed back into the car drawer. He stretched out his hand to pat the young girl’s head, teasing, “You didn’t secretly start crying, did you? Don’t get tears all over the car; it’s very expensive.”

Ah Da raised her head, “I’m not crying, and besides, is this your car?”

It was clearly taken from Qin Yu’s garage—this man claid he was returning the car, yet in reality, he took one and drove off with another.

Tang Bufan burst into hearty laughter, “Just because it’s not my car, I can’t worry about it? Who made that rule?”

Ah Da didn’t want to talk to him.

“Alright, don’t look so glum. It’s not every day you get to go out, so cheer up. Even if you don’t et the person you ntioned, there are other celebrities, right? Want to et them? Maybe the person will turn out to be the one you’re talking about?”

Ah Da looked up at him, “Really?”

“You’ll know once you go, won’t you?” Tang Bufan said coyly, pressing on the gas pedal, and the car sped away.

anwhile, the villa had erupted into chaos upon discovering Ah Da’s disappearance, with everyone mobilized and calling out in a search.

Minmin had just settled her luggage when she ca down and saw her grandfather, Uncle Wen, trembling while reporting over the phone; judging by his grave expression, it was undoubtedly Qin Yu on the other end.

“Yes, Mr. Tang,” Uncle Wen replied, letting out a silent sigh of relief before softly placing the phone back on the desk.

“Grandpa, what happened?” Minmin approached Uncle Wen, wrapping her arm around his.

Uncle Wen shook his head, simply saying, “It’s nothing now.”

Minmin uttered an “Oh” without giving it much thought. Recalling the man she had seen in the garage earlier, she couldn’t help but pull Uncle Wen aside to sit down on the couch, whispering mysteriously, “Grandpa, there was a man who drove off in Third Young Master’s car when I ca in; who is he?”

Uncle Wen said, “He is Mr. Tang from the Tang Family, Tang Bufan.”

So that was Tang Bufan. Minmin suddenly understood.

Of course, she had heard of him—Tang Bufan was a well-known playboy and a prominent figure in Capital City. Unlike Qin Yu, whose reputation intimidated the noble families, Tang Bufan’s fa was that of public exposure.

In plain terms, he was a womanizer, with ambiguous relationships with many celebrities and models.

Exactly because many rich young masters were dissolute, treating won as disposable as changing clothes—never the sa piece twice—it made Qin Yu all the more precious.

Thinking of Qin Yu’s aloof and handso face, Minmin’s heart could not help but race, her breathing unsteady. The mont she had entered this villa, she had felt herself drawing ever closer to him.

Uncle Wen steadied his mind and noticed his granddaughter’s eyes were filled with spring, lost in thought. He sounded the alarm bell, taking her hand and warning, “Minmin, you wouldn’t be interested in Mr. Tang…”

Minmin was startled and imdiately ca back to her senses, hurriedly rebuking, “Grandpa! What are you saying? How could I possibly like him?”

Uncle Wen scrutinized her face for a long mont, finally relieved, “It’s best not to. He’s not right for you.”
