Yaqin: Guess who I found? :D

FeiFei: ^_^ A gullible uncle to pay for a few bags.

Shu: Do we know this person or is it a person we should know?

Sister Lin: Is it important that you interrupt my rest?

Yaqin: The sun has been up for hours, Sister Lin. (-_-)

Zhia: What’s the fuss? I’m heading to the Charlemagne. Who wants to co with ? They have a new line of dresses available. (waiting.GIF)

FeiFei: I’m still at ho, you can pick up on the way. Yaqin, we can’t guess. Who is it?????

Yaqin: As expected. It’s been so long since this person has been talked about. (Smug Grin.jpg)

Sister Lin: Is this a new trait you picked up? -Be mysterious?

Shu: Oooo. Only mature n find mysterious ladies alluring. Are you into older guys now? Aren’t there suitable young ones in Nanjing?

Zhia: Most of the guys our age are so immature and still settling on Daddy’s pocket change. My savings are higher than their allowance. Tch~ Waste!

Sister Lin: I have no interest in either. I let my folks handle that problem of the potential partners. I’m not keen on wasting my energy on things like that. \\^o^//

Yaqin: You all are distracting . (sigh) So, presently being wooed by one of the well-known young masters, and was invited to one of the most elite retreats in Nanjing. - Tiaxin Hall

Zhia: 0.0 You an Tiaxin Equestrian Hall with the strict requirents? My old man has been waiting for the green light from them for months. Lucky bitch you are.

Yaqin: Hehehe. My luck is so good that I found the exiled princess here with her sugar daddy.

FeiFei: Grass!

Sister Lin: You have piqued my interest.

Shu: Co now. We know there’s more.

Zhia: So she’s still living the best after being thrown out to the streets. Her father still has that ban on her. No one in the community not even her distant family can help her.

FeiFei: I wouldn’t have survived if it was . (ToT) Ostracized from friends and family. Harsh.

Shu: How shoddy does she look? Send the goods. Send the goods!!!

Zhia: I don’t think she can. I heard that pictures of other guests aren’t allowed, you have to get permission.

Shu: Fat Chance then. (-_-;) Madam Su knows how much we all hate her.

Yaqin: Bah! Of course, she knows. She was bold enough to let her sugar daddy decline my request for a quick eting. Maybe she’s afraid that I will tell her little secret to her dear godfather.

FeiFei: I see an important tidbit. Godfather!!! Is she driving an old man?

Yaqin: It’s high on the food chain. He’s the owner of Tiaxin Hall.

Zhia: !!!!! @#$@%%@% THE HELL!!!!!!

Shu: Shit luck. Shit luck.

Sister Lin: Wow. Just Wow.

Yaqin: Yeah. She got him wrapped around her fingers, letting him invite us to so horsedressing show. I’m not interested but my friends here are excited. I will try to get a picture of her. She’s a redhead now.

Shu: HAHAHAHA! She’s a wildseed being fostered by the old flowers. I can’t wait to see her parents’ faces. Heck, even her cold demon brother might flip when he hears this.

Li Yaqin watches the private chat group boil over with speculations and scenarios about Su Lian and her sugar daddy. A devious smile played on her lips as she typed enthusiastically on her phone. She knows it won’t be long before her friends share their side of the rumor to the outsiders.

As expected, nurous WeChat began to pop up.

Their blatant dislike for Su Lian stemd from jealousy and the praises from the adults around them over the years. She has always been ’soone else’s child’, ’the perfect daughter’, ’the perfect student’, and ’the perfect wife’.

They have always been compared to her and use her as an example to bring their family na higher.

If they were as good as the Su Clan princess then their family would grow with benefits. They hated it. They wanted to destroy, maybe even taint that perfect little princess to knock her off her pedestal, and then their family would know how imperfect she was.

Rumors were made. Scenarios were pushed. Even n who only wanted to have a taste were sent her way - but, they failed to trap her. When their hatred for her reached its peak, Su Lian destroyed her image with her rebellion.

The wind changed.

The tongues of the flatterers beca venomous. It was her own father who allowed them to stain her na. The brother turned a deaf ear and blind eye to her and her mother was the ek porcelain vase by the husband’s side. The Su Clan disowned Su Lian publicly and only allowed her to leave with one suitcase.

It was tragic.

Li Yaqin and her friends were pleased by the episode and chid in when their parents began to condemn her.

That’s why seeing the exiled princess living lavishly agitated her. A few words will stain her image so more.

~~~~~~~~
"Yaqin. The clothes are here."
They were in one of many guest rooms at the main resort for the gold card mbers. The furnishings were low-key luxurious and the room sported the view of the lake and golf course. There were fresh towels and luxury brand toiletries for each of them. One of her friends asked if the items were continuously replaced after seeing the sealed set of face care on the vanity.
They were shocked when they heard the positive answer. "The guests have the options of keeping it themselves or donating."
Lavish!
The outfits were perfect and had no discomfort. Adhering to the event, fashionable and youthful garden party dresses were sent. The colors were neutral in either a solid or floral style giving the ladies a soft elegant image. Hairstylists were deployed as part of the service improving Li Yaqin’s favorability of Tiaxin.
"I’m here to escort you to The Rose Garden."
The Rose Garden is an event stadium built specifically for equestrian shows that boast different rose bushes that are carefully cared for.
The group of second-generation kids arrived in open-top carriages that are mainly used for shuttling between buildings for scheduled events. They saw firsthand how serious these events were to the older heads. Guests arrived one by one, whether they were with business partners or their spouses, they were all dressed to impress.
The little group was led past the reception hall and into a special passageway.
"Please be advised, be mindful of your actions."
Young Master Gu was about to retort but Young Master Yao grabbed his shoulder to shut him up. The latter knew the distance between their group and Qin Shao’s group. They’re about to be in the presence of a big man who may have more reach than them, their parents aren’t present to shelter them. They have to do their own wordplay and socialize.
This isn’t their forte.
They are known as ’free-birds’ - spend their folks’ money without remorse. They have no talent for business and are left to live an indulgent life.
"Yes, sister. We understand," Young Master Yao answered for the group. A few were uncomfortable with the woman’s wording but didn’t dare voice it.
Yaqin was annoyed but kept a serene smile on her face, holding onto Young Master Gu’s arm. The guy in question was pleased with the progress between them.
The walk along the special passage wasn’t long. They reached the end where the house manager stood patiently waiting. Two bodyguards stood solemnly on either side of a frosted glass door that had the words ’Private’ engraved in platinum.
"Manager Fen. The invited guests of Young Master Qin and the Young Lady Su Lian."
"It’s been hard. I will take them from here." The older gentleman gave the attendant a polite smile and watched her return the way she ca from.
"I am Manager Fen. The personal butler for Young Master Chen while he’s at Tiaxin. The Young Master Qin and Madam Su have both notified about your visit. Your visiting ti is fifteen minutes. Please be mindful of your actions."
’Madam Su? The heck!’ Li Yaqin yelled inwardly.
She watched on silently as Manager Fen swiped a security card on the no-touch lock on the door. With a loud click, the door swung open and the scent of flowers and food assaulted their senses.
Following the butler, they were dazzled by the design of this space. The large area was perfectly sectioned. The large lounge area with unique styles to cater to one’s mood, the spacious foot space, the bar and open kitchen, a eting area that’s cut off by a frosted glass wall, and a small dining area for more than ten people. There were potted plants dotted the corners, swaying under the light breeze from the open viewing area before them.
This private area of The Rose Garden is only open for the owner and his friends.
"Please."
The group was led to the lounge where Qin Shao and Su Lian were with their friends. Light music played in the background was a soundboard for their intertwining conversation; the whole scene was joyous at first glance.
Manager Fen stepped forward. "Young Master. Madam. Your guests." Standing between the two parties the old man can feel the awkwardness of this eting. In his peripheral, he can see how uneasy the guests were when they greeted Young Master Qin and his companions. The woman attached to the Gu Family’s child broke away from the group and approached Madam Su.
"Su Lian. It’s been a while. I’m sorry about earlier. I was so excited to see you again after four years. You haven’t returned to Hangzhou since then, but I guess I’m lucky to see you here."
Li Yaqin’s little speech said nothing but also said sothing. It brought all the attention to both of them, leaving the onlookers waiting for more of this so-called eting. She silently looked for changes on Su Lian’s body, ready to use it as material but was disappointed. Apart from the dyed hair, Su Lian was more beautiful than four years ago. Fair jade-like skin, a slim attractive body, a flawless face, and a natural clothes model - the Su Clan princess never withered.
Su Lian gently smiled at Li Yaqin and politely offered her seat. Her movents were elegant from the way she sat, to the way she moved her hand in gesture, it was all natural and alluring. This attracted the n on Li Yaqin’s side and caused her mood to sink further.
The beauty in the eyes of these n was a rose carefully protected in a resilient glass case. You can’t touch it nor get closer, you can only watch it and wonder.
On the sidelines, Qin Shao and the others saw the reactions of their fellow elites and quickly distracted them, pulling them into a very tight and polite conversation.
Appearances must be kept. Even if they don’t like these people, its better to avoid bloodshed.
"How have you been these past years? After that ... scene, we were all worried about you. Your family... Su Lian if you go back and apologize maybe you can get back what was taken away," Li Yaqin spoke for everyone to hear. She was pressing the fact that Su Lian did sothing unthinkable at ho and ran away to Nanjing. It was clear what her motive was.
Not ntioning the real reason will open up the brain hole of those who are more inclined to gossip.
Unexpectedly, the friends Li Yaqin placed herself with are these gossipmongers. They wanted to know what this friend did and how was she connected to Li Yaqin.
"Thank you for your concern. Manager Fen I believe our guests can join us for so tea before they leave and possibly a few tea snacks."
Bai Shun and Wei Rong hid their mocking smiles behind their tea cups and Su Lian’s friends gave Li Yaqin a soft pitiful look.
The brush-off was obvious and also subtly told the guests that they were in such a place for a limited ti.
"Yes, Madam."
Manager Fen left the young people to entertain themselves.
"Since I left Hangzhou, my four years were occupied by books. College was a challenge and now it’s the workforce," Su Lian comnted on her experience in a joking manner. Others picked up the end of the conversation with questions pertaining to the college she attended and the college they attended. The new wave of conversation blocked Li Yaqin’s instigation.
At a glance, Su Lian saw the familiar lip twitch she was familiar with. As a mber of the so-called noble society, one must learn to manage one’s expression and interpret one’s opponent by their face and body language. She has always been adept in this which allowed her to avoid word traps by the envious girls and to shut down obnoxious pursuers.
This is how she knew Miss Li’s lid on her temper. Her plan to overturn Su Lian failed so she wants to find a new way to do so.
But Su Lian nipped it in the bud.
"Are you on your way to being close to a Nanjing native? Seeing you with new friends, I’m pleased to see it. Having friends in a new environnt is a good thing." Her eyes moved between Li Yaqin and Young Master Gu. The look in Su Lian’s eyes said a lot.
Li Yaqin was flustered and wanted to deny the relationship between her and the scum young master but the guy had his own worries.
Young Master Gu heard Su Lian’s words and slid his arm across Li Yaqin’s shoulders, sending a proud smile to Su Lian’s way. "Qin Shao, it’s truly a coincidence eting you here. Aren’t we all lucky that our folks cut us so slack with their mbership cards?"
"Lucky. I like that word." This mocking statent ca from Shang Ren.
"But aren’t we too old to be relying on our folks for perks in life?" Chen Quan voiced aloud with genuine concern coating the words.
"It is. How are we going to prove to them that we are not waste or scum in the eyes of their friends," Liu Shao pondered.
Young Master Gu’s face beca red with humiliation. His friends weren’t any better. How can they stand being blatantly insulted? "Liu Shao! Watch your tongue!"
"It’s good to be self-sufficient and it’s also good to be aware of your image," Qin Shao said aloud. He gave their so-called guests a slight smile. It was tiring to keep the image of the favored son when this group kept disturbing his peace. Though they were all from the sa generation, there was a wide gap.
It doesn’t make sense.
They were all given the sa upbringing yet this group decided to be indulgent fools. Instead of fixing their image of waste, they will pitch little fights with him. Over the years he learned to treat them as air.
Young Master Qin was about to make another statent when he caught a movent in his peripheral. Looking in that direction, he saw the Chen brothers sending their guests to the door before making their way to them.
Gu and Yao followed his line of sight and subconsciously rushed to their feet. They frowned when they ca to terms with what they did.
Young master Ruan and the others who reacted the sa way earlier in the day couldn’t stop the laugh from their mouths.
That subconscious move was understandable.
This also happens when you et an elder who has experienced a lot of ups and downs in the industry. Even their fathers have this sort of influence. It was amusing to see this bunch of idlers be caught off guard like this.
Young Master Gu bit the inside of his cheek to stop the curse he wanted to say. He couldn’t believe he had beco a sniveling rat for soone his age. Earlier their group didn’t get a good look at the new boss. Having a closer look, Gu can feel his inferiority.
Apart from the imposing height and proportional body, Chen Kai’s handso beauty and rogue-like noble temperant placed a huge wedge between them. This man was a pure example of an untouchable prince.
"Pleased to et all of you. I am Chen Kai." The unhurried voice reached their ear after those oppressive dark eyes landed on them. He ca to a stop and smiled their way in the most endearing manner.
The kid next to him didn’t say a word. For a youth not past his teenage years, he was also thought-provoking with his immature good looks and those clear amber eyes.
His eyes were beautiful at a glance but there was no trace of emotion or flash of inquiry when they landed in the new group. He gave them a polite nod and then moved to Shang Ren and Liu Shao.
"Mr. Chen. I am surnad Gu. Gu Zifei of the Gu family. We specialize in software technology and touch a bit in the entertainnt district. It’s a pleasure to et you. Thank you for your invitation to the Equestrian Show."
Chen Kai took Gu’s offered handshake and returned a few polite words. The others introduced themselves and returned to their seats to take part in the refreshnts Manager Fen served.
Su Lian and Bai Shun sat together speaking in low voices after Li Yaqin’s little show. They silently watched as another female fell into the abyss.
"Tsk~ Tsk~ This guy is still so oblivious. Sigh~ Look at this clueless look. Too cute."
Chen Kai was unaware of the new fan girls he gained while talking to his friends. The girls were cutting in, trying to get his attention, but his response to them was the sa amiable tone, not even giving them a second look.
He took a look at his watch and then excused himself.
His trajectory was to the other side where Su Lian and Bai Shun were watching the show. Seeing the bright expression on his face as his eyes found hers, Su Lian inwardly scread at how adorable her husband was.
He ignored the interested looks of the ladies and brushed past them. He only stopped for a few seconds which he used to answer a comnt made by Li Yaqin. She too was dazzled by Chen Kai.
When she introduced herself, she made sure to say that she was friends with Su Lian. "You must be Su Lian’s friend. I’m Li Yaqin, a friend of hers from Hangzhou. I guess we should thank you for taking care of her. She’s very fortunate to et you after so long."
Chen Kai was amused by her words. It was clear from his unrestrained expression that he was tickled by Li Yaqin’s play on words. It also gives the person before him the illusion of Chen Kai being interested in her.
"Oh? I guess we’re both fortunate. After all, we’ve been caring for each other over the past four years and counting. How can I not care for my wife."
"Uh, yes, wife," Li Yaqin felt a bit of a sting on the cheek after being corrected about Su Lian’s status. Chen Kai reminded her that Su Lian didn’t suffer and she didn’t lose out on anything that was stripped of her.
After that smooth defense, in the eyes of his friends, Chen Kai was now a wife-chasing husband.
A proud one too.
