Fan Rou looked up like a frightened rabbit, a tear sliding from the corner of her eye.
"Get up, if your feet are numb, just sit." Her father reached out to help her up for the first ti.
"Thanks, Dad, but there’s no need, I can stand up, please don’t argue with mom." Fan Rou withdrew her arm from her father’s hand.
"Look, even the daughter is more sensible than you." Her father scolded.
Knowing better, her mother kept quiet; she wasn’t foolish enough to not understand what was happening.
Never thought she’d be plotted against by Fan Rou today, with such a lowly trick.
Her mother wanted to resolve matters peacefully, but unfortunately, Fan Rou didn’t wish for that.
Since the fire was already burning, not adding fuel would be a disservice to herself.
"Dad, Mom didn’t an any harm, don’t argue with her, Mom’s really good to ." Fan Rou anxiously choked up, wiping the tears on her face haphazardly.
Such a self, Fan Rou hated; without a mirror, she knew how fake her expression was.
But what could she do? This family made her hard to feel any love, so since that’s the case, they could all be miserable together.
"This is good to you? I bet when I’m not around, she tortures you in ways I can’t imagine." Her father spoke with increasing disdain.
"No, she didn’t, Mom hasn’t done anything to , you know, she is my mom." Fan Rou hurriedly retorted.
"She’s not your mom, don’t call her mom anymore." Her father blurted out.
"Fine, I won’t call her that. You make it sound like I care; just a wretch, don’t forget, you once despised her for being dirty too."
Now, what is this about saying she abuses her?
Oh, do you find her useful now? That’s why you’ve elevated her, right?
"Shut up." Her father angrily reprimanded.
"What? Is she untouchable now? I insist on talking, no matter how important she becos in your eyes. It doesn’t change the fact she’s an illegitimate child, nor does it change her lowly status."
"Once upon a ti, you said I could treat her however I wished, even kill her if needed. What? Now that you find my daughter useless, you’ve accepted her as your daughter, begun to cherish her?"
Even though she knew, Fan Rou still felt cold at heart, even death was indifferent.
If she hadn’t endured back then, wouldn’t there be no Fan Rou in this world now?
"Smack." Her father slapped her mother hard: "Want to try talking nonsense again?"
"You hit , you actually hit for this wretch of a girl?" Her mother pointed at her father.
"She’s my daughter, call her a wretch again and try?" Her father coldly rebuked.
"Fine, great, you’ll regret it one day." Her mother stord off in fury.
This ti, she went straight back to her parental ho.
Her family couldn’t help her much anymore, she knew she had to eventually co back.
But right now, she really didn’t want to stay here; she needed to go out and unwind.
Fan Rou looked guilty, with a hint of unease: "Dad, you should quickly go after Mom."
"Chase after what? Let her contemplate things for a while." Her father’s expression remained sour.
Her mother was probably going through nopause, which made her temperant so changeable and quick to curse.
She wasn’t like this before.
Rembering the wife who used to be considerate, always caring for him, her father was full of nostalgia.
From when did the once gentle and kind wife beco so repulsive?
And from when did he never regard his daughter highly, yet she beca so sensible?
