Ye Ranran didn’t take his words to heart, whether he was speaking as a brother or as an ex-boyfriend, those words were rely polite chitchat.
No other emotions would be involved.
“Brother, do you have other things to do? If not, I’ll go ahead and get busy.” She wasn’t familiar with him, nor was there anything to chat about, being overly deliberate could easily lead to misunderstanding.
Whether she had lost her mory or not, Ye Ranran maintained the sa attitude towards Huo Yi; neither too close, nor too far, showcasing a mix of familial intimacy and the estrangent typical of exes.
This level of distance, Ye Ranran managed very well.
“Why did you co here? Can you tell ?” His deep eyes stared at Ye Ranran intently, without a hint of emotion.
Being stared at by those eyes like that, Ye Ranran felt quite pressured, she was just about to refuse but then she heard: “I won’t disturb you, plus if you need help, I’m here to assist.”
Since he said it like this, refusing would seem rather intentional, Ye Ranran unwillingly replied: “Alright, then you can follow us.”
As soon as she got into the car, Fan Rou snuggled close, glancing at the car following behind, whispered: “What did he say to you?”
Actually, she wanted to know why Huo Yi followed.
Over the past two years, though her interactions with him weren’t frequent, they weren’t scarce either; she sowhat guessed what was on his mind.
Saying he has no thoughts about Ye Ranran would be unbelievable for her.
“Nothing much, just decided to co along out of boredom.” Ye Ranran replied casually.

Ye Ranran looked at her puzzled: “That’s my brother, isn’t it normal to have occasional contact? As for distance, aren’t we separated by a whole car already?”
Could it really beco a situation where we never interact?
