“Why thank ? I really like the baby.” She had watched him grow up, so naturally she liked him.
“It’s still early, let’s go check out the school where I teach.” Fan Rou said excitedly.
“Sure.” Ye Ranran, who was originally heading towards the car, changed direction.
The school was large, and being an arts college, there were often students walking by with art boards and in performance costus.
The campus was full of camphor trees, and Ye Ranran walked shoulder to shoulder with Fan Rou.
Seeing those youthful faces radiating smiles, Ye Ranran felt as if she had already aged.
“Rourou, I feel like I’m really old.” Ye Ranran said, touching her own face.
Fan Rou rolled her eyes: “You think you’re still young?”
“At least I have a husband and a child, yours is still a ways off.” Ye Ranran chuckled.
Fan Rou wrapped her arms around her neck, attempting a playful chokehold: “Are you trying to poke at my sore spot again?”
“Teacher Fan?” A probing voice called out from ahead.
Fan Rou and Ye Ranran stopped fooling around and looked ahead simultaneously.
A man in casual clothes stood there, hands in his pockets, smiling.
The sun behind him filtered through the leaves, sending beams of golden light over his body, enveloping him in a dazzling glow.
Ye Ranran nudged Fan Rou with her elbow and winked, her expression full of mischief.
Fan Rou rolled her eyes silently, signaling that she was overthinking it.
Not dressed for a formal gathering, Fan Rou wore a simple top, black pants, and sneakers, looking very much like a college girl; her face wore a light makeup that shimred in the sunlight with an enchanting glow.
“Teacher Lan.” Fan Rou stood straight, politely yet distantly greeting him.
Lan Shao’s gaze casually swept past Ye Ranran next to Fan Rou and quickly returned to Fan Rou: “Do you have class later?”
“No, I don’t have classes today. I’m just showing a friend around.” Fan Rou replied.
“Oh, I’m free too, I can show you around,” Lan Shao said, casually familiar.
“Do you also teach here?” Ye Ranran inquired without hesitation.
“No, my parents are teachers here. I teach Economics at M University.”
M University’s Economics departnt was nationally renowned, and he actually taught there.
“Professor?” Ye Ranran asked again.
Lan Shao nodded.
Not bad, he might not be wealthy, but definitely well-off.
Ye Ranran nudged Fan Rou again and winked at her, indicating not to miss out.
Fan Rou gestured for her to stop being nosy, that things weren’t as she imagined.
“What’s up with you two? Playing charades?” Lan Shao casually turned around and saw the two nudging and winking at each other.
“Just curious about what kind of relationship Teacher Lan and Teacher Fan have.” Feeling caught, Ye Ranran boldly asked.
Fan Rou wished for a bun to stuff Ye Ranran’s mouth, but alas she had no bun now, and she began to think of Jun Mochan.
If he were here, Ye Ranran might at least pretend to be ladylike, or else he could pull her away.
“We’re friends.” Lan Shao’s voice was clean and pleasant, like a cello, very soothing and lodious.
Just hearing that voice could make soone swoon.
“Do you have a girlfriend?” Ye Ranran continued to ask.
Fan Rou gently pinched Ye Ranran’s waist.
“What’s the big deal? I’m just asking, what’s there to be nervous about?” Ye Ranran brushed Fan Rou’s hand away.
