"He’s probably planning to find soone to hypnotize you again. If you forget what you’ve dread of, but still rember what I said, make sure not to doubt it, because all of it truly happened."

"Alright, if you’re too tired, just sleep for a while."

She obediently closed her eyes and drifted off into a deep sleep.

Jun Mochan gently laid her down and walked out.

Outside the door, Fu Rong’s face was icy cold: "She must be with you, isn’t she?"

Jun Mochan didn’t imdiately let him in. His hand gripped the door handle, standing like a guardian deity before Fu Rong, blocking his way: "Whether she is or isn’t, what does that have to do with you?"

"Do you think if you don’t step aside, I won’t have other ways?"

"Do you think taking her back will cover up the truth?"

Their gazes t in the air, clashing violently like sparks.

"Fu Rong, you don’t love her, so why not let her go?" Jun Mochan spoke with a detached coldness, devoid of extra emotion, as though he were rely stating a fact.

Fu Rong chuckled coldly: "You’re not ; how do you know I don’t love her?"

"Wen Cai is already dead." Jun Mochan’s tone carried traces of frost, as if a spring wind that seed warm before it arrived yet revealed its true chill when it brushed against one’s face.

"I don’t care who she is. I saved her—so she belongs to ." Fu Rong looked at Jun Mochan with a mocking expression. "You pride yourself on loving her, but so what? If it weren’t for , she’d already be dead."

In that situation, had he not saved her in ti, she truly would’ve lost her life.

Reality isn’t a TV drama. A person can’t float in a river for a full day and night and still survive.

In truth, when he pulled her out of the water, she was already barely breathing. Tang Sheng said if he’d been ten minutes later, she would’ve been gone.

These words slightly weakened Jun Mochan’s aura: "I don’t deny it, and I am grateful to you. But that doesn’t conflict with what I just said."

"Even if you saved her, it doesn’t make her your possession." Ye Ranran is a human being, not a plaything you can claim as yours just because you say so.

The quality Jun Mochan held that Ye Ranran admired most was his respect for people.

Those in power often adopt an outlook of deciding for others, planning their lives, and dictating their preferences.

Sitting at the top, no one dares defy them, no one dares to resist.

Fu Rong was the embodint of that trait—and Jun Mochan wasn’t entirely exempt either. At least when it ca to major decisions, he had always been resolute.

But Jun Mochan was willing to listen to Ye Ranran’s inner voice, willing to respect her choices, and even more willing to let her strive, to blossom on her own rather than letting his radiance entirely overshadow hers.

He could shield her from storms, but he could also stand alongside her.

This kind of love was sothing everyone longed for, but many could never attain.

"I ca here today to take her away. If you won’t cooperate, then I think I have no choice but to resort to other ans." Fu Rong didn’t want to continue the conversation.

He wasn’t here to discuss the right or wrong of love. He was here to take her back.

Jun Mochan loosened his grip and stepped aside: "She’s inside. Take her away."

After lifting her into his arms, Fu Rong still couldn’t quite believe that Jun Mochan had handed her over so easily.

Although his emotions were well concealed, Jun Mochan could still hear the hesitation in Fu Rong’s footsteps, perceiving the aning behind them.
