He had been lurking near Tang Sheng’s residence, never expecting to encounter her today.
After two years without seeing her, she unexpectedly appeared before his eyes, leaving him unable to suppress his excitent.
Two years ago, when he had held back the young master, he wasn’t sure if she would rember and bla him for it.
"So it really is true then." Ye Ranran sounded surprised. "Well, you don’t need to compensate , but you should call the traffic police first, and then get soone from the auto shop to co and tow your car away."
Looking at the dented car hood, Ye Ranran shook her head and walked away.
Ye Ranran drove all the way ho, arriving at ten o’clock.
She got out of the car and locked the door, but suddenly, a shadow lood over her.
Startled, she whirled around and, upon seeing who it was, instinctively patted her chest before glaring at him in anger. "Why are you here?"
"You went to see Jun Mochan?" Fu Rong’s eyes were cold. "Didn’t I tell you to stop interacting with him?"
"And what business is it of yours who I talk to?" What right did he have to ddle in her affairs?
Fu Rong’s large hand encircled her waist, pulling her closer with force. "That guy is just playing with you — it’s a novelty for him. You think he’s truly sincere? Did you know he already has a child? The kid’s three years old now. Do you really think he’s going to marry you?"
"Funny, that’s exactly what I was thinking. Since he already has a child, that proves he’s got decent skill. And I haven’t been with a man yet, so maybe it’s worth a try. Don’t you think?"
Her words struck Fu Rong like a dagger, causing the veins on his forehead to visibly tense. How could she say sothing so casually?
"So you want a man, huh? Am I an option?" He moved even closer, until their bodies were nearly touching.
Unfortunately, even like this, Ye Ranran felt no warmth emanating from him.
"If you’re not afraid of the poison in , then go ahead and try. Do you dare?" She smiled mischievously as she spoke.
Sothing seed to flash through Fu Rong’s mind. Suddenly, he pushed her away with force, and her back hit the car handle, sending a sharp pain through her.
Fu Rong didn’t look at her again and left quickly.
Outside, the cold wind blew, snapping him back to consciousness, leaving him in a daze.
Ye Ranran smoothed her dress, exited the garage, and walked to her room.
Once inside, she received a call from Jun Mochan.
"What’s up?" Her tone carried a hint of detachnt.
"I’m leaving the day after tomorrow. I’d like to invite you to dinner one last ti. I’m thinking this might be the last chance we’ll have to et. Will you give the honor?"
She was about to reject him, but upon thinking things over, decided it wouldn’t hurt to et again — they had known each other after all.
"Sure. Sa place as last ti?"
"Yeah, I’ll cook again for you."
Suddenly, Ye Ranran felt a glimr of anticipation. After all, his cooking skills were quite good, and last ti had been pretty delicious.
anwhile, Zhou Xian glared at Jun Mochan. "What kind of la excuse was that? How do you plan to stick around her in the future now?"
He had been shaless, but Zhou Xian felt embarrassed for him.
"You guys leave already." Out of nowhere, Jun Mochan blurted this out.
Zhou Xian pointed at himself, ultimately lowered his head sullenly, and muttered begrudgingly, "Alright, I get it."
What Jun Mochan wanted was evidently to get rid of them.
The next day, Ye Ranran went to work as usual.
In the morning, she waited for Fu Rong to summon her to discuss matters related to the fire incident, but he didn’t contact her all morning.
At noon, she got a notification about a eting.
The agenda involved city developnt — next month was Cultural Month, which was fairly significant. Ye Ranran accompanied Fu Rong in etings all afternoon.
