This outfit was trendy and cool.
In contrast, Ye Ranran was dressed much more conservatively and simply, with a black sweater inside, a taupe coat, and black skinny pants, topped off with a pair of white sneakers.
Her relaxed attire made her look less sharp.
Xia Shi sized up Ye Ranran’s attire: “Changing styles?”
She rembered that this type wasn’t what Ye Ranran liked; no matter where she saw her, she was always in shirts and suit pants.
Now she had switched to casual wear.
“It’s not work hours now,” Ye Ranran replied casually.
Xia Shi looked at her glowing face: “It looks like you’re doing well.
You’ve gained weight.”
Ye Ranran had previously been skinny as a rail, but now her waistline was noticeably rounder.
Ye Ranran naturally wouldn’t tell her that she was pregnant.
“If there’s nothing else, I need to go,” Ye Ranran didn’t want to stay long with Xia Shi.

“Did you know who that person was just now?
Soone from the Tax Bureau.
They’ve been auditing your husband’s company recently.
It would really be better if they don’t find anything suspicious, wouldn’t you say?”
“That’s none of my business; you should tell the person being audited.” Ye Ranran smiled, “I’m really in a hurry, please step aside.”
Xia Shi deliberately said these things to unsettle Ye Ranran, hoping to see her panic, but she remained calm throughout.
