Chapter 193 Tutorial 35th Floor(12) (Part 2)
There had been two doppelgangers on the 16th stage.
The magician, and .
But this ti the adventurer was the doppelganger.
I could understand why the doppelganger changed from the magician to the adventurer.
The existence of the doppelganger changed every ti I entered the tutorial.
If it didn’t, according to the explanation on the 35th floor, this stage would be the sa as the other stages.
What about the second doppelganger?
The second doppelganger hid inside of the challenger.
But in all 35 stages, the challengers couldn’t change the settings of every stage.
If so, could I infer that there was no second doppelganger?
Or perhaps there was another doppelganger among the rest of the people?
I kept trying to figure it out, but I had no idea at all.
I would go up to the next stage as soon as the ti was up anyway, so I decided not to think about it.
Although the doppelganger was killed, the atmosphere was still grim.
The rcenary stayed in the corner, grieving over the death of his friend, the adventurer.
Confirming that the magician was not his daughter, the paladin was saddened by the painful mories of the past that resurfaced.
He apologised to the magician and , and then went to the sa corner as the rcenary.
The knight comforted the rcenary and the paladin alternately, and then beca depressed like the rest of them.
Just what were they doing...
“Well?”
“What? ”
“Why did you take to the corner and ask to build a barrier?”
Ah, this question...
“I wanted you to teach so magic.”
My words made the magician frown.
“You should have just said that you want to teach you so magic. Why did you take to the corner. It really scared . Telling to build a barrier also led to misunderstanding.”
The magician’s attitude was still not good, but fortunately the misunderstanding was resolved.
After the magician saw how I had used the battle hamr to knock down the giant tentacle monster, no matter what kind of misunderstanding it was, would be naturally resolved.
“Did you know that?”
“Know what?”
The magician always started a conversation suddenly.
“The doppelganger used the adventurer’s appearance. You said that you knew who was the doppelganger.”
Maybe that was why the adventurer, or the doppelganger with the adventurer’s appearance, suddenly attacked .
As the adventurer was the doppelganger, he beca apprehensive because I said I knew who the doppelganger was.
At that ti, a hostile atmosphere against had been ford and while the paladin had been attacking , the adventurer thought “Yep! This is a good opportunity!”, and then he ran over to .
“Nope.”
She looked dumbfounded because of my words.
“You really didn’t know?”
I nodded.
“I thought it was you.”
“What? ”
“I said I thought you had been the doppelganger.”
“W...what?”
A strange look ca over the magician’s face.
“So, why did you ask to build a barrier?”
“I just wanted to learn so magic from you. In exchange, I wouldn’t tell other people that you were doppelganger.”
“From the doppelganger?!”
“Yeah.”
The magician’s look at beca sharp.
It was sharper than the ti she had thought I had been a psychopath.
“How dare you...”
The magician began to scold .
How could you attempt to learn magic from the doppelganger, how could you try to hide the doppelganger, and how could you mistake as the doppelganger.
She kept on talking.
This magician was much noisier than I had thought.
She had barely spoken anything when she had been using an old magician’s appearance. She must be uncomfortable when she had restrained herself to not speak too much.
She and that depressed knight on the corner were a perfect match.
I listened to the magician without speaking anything, and I asked her suddenly.
“So.”
“Yes?”
“Are you gonna teach so magic?”
To increase the success rate of the request, I picked up the hamr that had fallen on the floor from my hand and asked.
“O, of course.”
I succeeded.
* * *
There wasn’t much to learn from the magician.
Because I had heard the knowledge that she knew from the doppelganger before.
By the end of the magic lecture which lasted for several hours, other people had fallen asleep one by one.
Perhaps due to the confusion, those people were unable to overco their fatigue and soon fell asleep.
Perhaps because of the death of the doppelganger, they were all sleeping in the room together,
without even a night watch.
Except one.
“After hearing about the paladin’s story, I have thought a lot. In fact, there have been many dirty things in my family. So of them are similar to what the paladin went through. The competition between aristocracy is actually much more vulgar and dirtier than the backstreet fight.”
So what!
“But I did get out of that hole, because I had beco a knight by accident. Oh, have I told you why I beca a knight? Oh, I guess not. It was a particularly fortuitous chance. It started with the Duke of Heblan. Have you ever been to the Duke of Heblan? Although it is famous for the beautiful lakes, there are actually more swamps than lakes. My brother and my friend Robben are also there. Oh, this friend, Robben, is my childhood friend, and we made a lifelong commitnt when we were young. He is a common civilian, but we are close friends regardless of his status. From there...”
“Please.”
“Yes? ”
“Could you please just go to sleep.”
