Chapter 67: Love Token

Xing Jiuan was taken out for a al by Lu Zhichen. After asking Xing Jiuan, Lu Zhichen chose a restaurant with lighter-tasting food.

“It’s not good for you to eat food with heavy flavors tonight. I’ll take you to eat soplace else next ti, okay?”

Xing Jiuan was also a sickly child when she was young. She would feel uncomfortable for two days after eating oily and salty food at night. She was also especially picky about food. Lu Zhichen had been with her for a few months back then, and he still rembered these small matters clearly.

Xing Jiuan did not respond to this intimate question about having a next al.

“I don’t rember you.” She had co to clarify a few things.

“That’s normal. You were young then, around five years old.” Lu Zhichen did not mind Xing Jiuan’s coldness. His eyes relaxed and he looked at Xing Jiuan with a gentle gaze.

There were only two people in this private room. Although they were not very familiar with each other, it did not feel awkward.

“Also, the fiancée you ntioned…” Xing Jiuan did not continue. Lu Zhichen still understood.

He took out a red string from his pocket. Although it’s been a long ti, it was still well kept.

“This is the token of love you gave . I haven’t returned it, so we haven’t broken off the engagent.”

Xing Jiuan leaned over to take a look and then looked at Lu Zhichen. “Children’s words don’t count.”

“Are you going back on your word?”

“…”

It was as if she had done sothing wrong.

“We’re not compatible. Besides, I don’t rember anything and I don’t know you. You…”

“Do you think I’m serious?”

Xing Jiuan did not say anything. However, she could not accept that there was suddenly an engagent between them for no reason.

Moreover, Lu Zhichen was the man Huo Chulan liked. She wanted to deal with Huo Chulan, but she had never thought of having anything to do with Lu Zhichen.

“I’ve already broken it off.”

“But I haven’t.”

“I told Master. You should have gotten the news.”

“But Jiuan, I don’t want to accept it.”

Lu Zhichen had never liked anyone before, but he liked a little girl during his youth very much.

He used to treat her as a younger sister, but he didn’t expect to still like her after seeing her again when she had already grown up.

Furthermore, he actually felt happy when he teased the little girl into exchanging a love token with him, and he was looking at Xing Jiuan now as his fiancée.

Xing Jiuan frowned.

Why couldn’t she talk sense into him?

Wasn’t Lu Zhichen the cold and noble Ninth Master? Why was he different from the rumors?

Lu Zhichen then took out a piece of jade and placed it in Xing Jiuan’s hand.

“This is my love token.”

Xing Jiuan was about to reject him when she suddenly froze at the sight of the piece of jade.

She had seen this piece of jade before.

In her previous life, there was one ti when she almost thought she was going to lose her life in a life-and-death situation. In the end, it was just that her physique beca much weaker.

While she was in a daze, she had a piece of jade in her hand.

It was exactly like this one.

She had wondered many tis if that was her hallucination. When she woke up again, she asked the people around her. No one had seen that piece of jade. She had also searched for it, but it could not be found.

But now, Lu Zhichen was holding it in front of her and telling her that this was the love token he had given her.

She was certain that she had never seen this piece of jade in her mory.

Was there sothing wrong with her mory?

Or had she forgotten so things?

“You said previously that you gave my na. What do you an?”

Lu Zhichen did not answer imdiately. Instead, he asked, “You really don’t rember anything?”

Xing Jiuan thought about it and shook her head.
