Chapter 248: Alright Young Miss

Upon hearing this, everyone’s gaze landed on Xing Jiuan. Even Mu Qing’s gaze was a little complicated.

“Jiuan…”

Before Mu Qing could probe further, Xing Jiuan spoke first, her voice sounding a little guilty.

“Senior Brother, I’ll talk to him for a while.”

With that, she motioned for the man to follow her outside.

Mu Qing’s eyes darkened as he watched the two of them leave.

“Who are you working for?” Xing Jiuan asked when they arrived at the courtyard. She felt a little worried as she thought about the explanation she would have to give later.

“I’m working for Country Y’s Sir Luo Lin, Young Master,” this person replied respectfully. He lowered his head slightly and seed a little nervous.

Xing Jiuan could see through him and paused for a mont. “You don’t have to be nervous. I just want to ask you sothing.”

“Young Master, please speak.”

“Don’t call that outside.”

“Yes, Miss.”

“…” That worked too.

“Who let you guys co here? Luo Lin?”

“Sir Luo Lin said that he wants us to find a place for you to build a house. The scenery here is very good, so we thought…” This person paused. “Could this be your territory?”

“It belongs to… my family.”

“I’m sorry, Miss. Please forgive my mistake…” The man imdiately bent down and apologized. “This is my mistake. I will compensate your family and find another place.”

“Why would Luo Lin build a house?”

“He said that you go out often, so it’ll be convenient to have your own residence.”

Xing Jiuan didn’t even know how many houses she had.

Was this the reason?!

“Tell Luo Lin that there’s no need to build a house. I don’t need it. Help thank him for his good intentions.”

“Yes, Miss.”

“Go back.”

Xing Jiuan left after saying that. The man followed behind her after walking for two to three ters, keeping a distance neither too far nor too close behind. He remained gentlemanly and respectful.

The people in the room were talking casually. Mu Qing’s gaze was dark and he did not join in the conversation.

After Xing Jiuan entered, she realized that the people whom the man behind her had brought along were not here.

She did not ask further. When she t Mu Qing’s gaze, she opened her mouth, feeling so guilty that she did not know what to say.

The man behind her did not notice her expression and took a few steps forward.

“I’m sorry that our actions have inconvenienced you.” He bowed slightly. “We will discuss the compensation thod carefully and ask for your opinion. We will definitely not refuse your opinion if it is within our abilities.”

When he recalled what Xing Jiuan had told him on the way back, he did not say that he would not fight for this territory again.

Mu Qing did not intend to take this territory anymore and was prepared to push it out. After thinking about it, Xing Jiuan felt that as long as she gave Mu Qing enough, this territory could also be given to Luo Lin.

However, it still depended on Mu Qing’s plan.

Mu Qing only responded briefly to the man and got soone to arrange a place for him to rest.

That person looked at Xing Jiuan, who nodded slightly. He agreed, thanked him, and left with his n.

As the three newcors had already been arranged to rest, there were only Mu Qing, Xing Jiuan, Lu Mingxi, and Ou Qi here.

Due to Mu Qing’s low mood, none of them dared to speak.

“Jiuan, co with ,” Mu Qing said softly and walked out before Xing Jiuan could say anything.

Xing Jiuan looked at Lu Mingxi and Ou Qi, who were wishing her luck, and followed Mu Qing out.
