Maeve turned her head to glance at him, then suddenly hopped off him.
Caiden Ward only then noticed that his pants were sared with dirt, and he smiled helplessly, "I’m used to this."
"But you can’t spoil her too much." Mia Ginger raised her hand to pull Maeve’s wrist, pulling her into her arms, and smiled lightly, "Once in first grade, you’re a big kid, you can’t just snuggle in soone’s arms all the ti."
"Fine." Maeve pouted, "Then put the flower crown on ."
Mia Ginger smiled and placed the flower crown on her head.
Clinging to her arm and nestled in her embrace, Maeve asked Caiden Ward expectantly, "Is it pretty?"
"Pretty!" Caiden Ward nodded seriously with a smile.
Maeve giggled, "Hehe, I think this flower crown is so pretty too. Sister Mia made it, I love it."

Caiden Ward relaxed as he leaned back on the sofa, loosened his collar, and gazed up at the drifting white clouds in the sky, feeling at ease.

Mia Ginger was stunned, "A car accident?"
"It’s not all from the car accident." Caiden Ward frowned, thinking as he spoke, "It looks like he was shot in the abdon, his head was injured, and one arm and a leg were broken, covered in blood."
"Is his life in danger?" Mia Ginger asked softly.
"When the ambulance got to the hospital, the kid was still awake, I ran into my cousin, he’ll probably be involved in the surgery, saving his life shouldn’t be a problem."
"Saving his life?" Mia Ginger chewed on his words.
"Yeah." Caiden Ward nodded, "His right foot is shattered."
Mia Ginger felt a jolt inside, and fell silent.
The scene of eting Odin Myres last ti floated into her mind, making her feel sad.
Such a pretty, delicate child, only twelve years old, already carrying such a heavy burden, what will he do next?
She rambled in her thoughts, overco with pity.
Before long, Caiden Ward left with a tired Maeve.
Mia Ginger took out her phone to check the ti and called Louis Cox.
