Chapter 277: 266 Identity Revealed, Rank [3 more updates]_2

“The death penalty is too lenient for him, don’t worry, once he’s able to get out of bed, the Yi Character Team will treat him well.”

Compared to ordinary citizens, the Feng Family had a sizeable business and could use a bit of their power to suppress things.

Only the Yi Character Team dared to make a move.

The Second Team Leader estimated that they would need to recruit new mbers.

If they really turned Imperial Capital University upside down, they could uncover quite a few people.

But they were short-handed as it was.

...

People all have their own self-interests.

So even Nie Yi, in order to ensure absolute fairness, took an oath to detach from the Nie Family upon joining the team and pledged loyalty only to the Yi Character Team.

As a result, it was even harder for the Yi Character Team to recruit than for IBI.

“As for you, your cri isn’t punishable by death,” the Second Team Leader continued, “rest assured, we are only responsible for eliminating the Feng Family’s gray areas; the innocent Feng Family mbers will definitely not be implicated.”

Patriarch Feng couldn’t hear what followed, he felt ice-cold all over.

Like other families, the Feng Family wasn’t limited to his lineage, there would surely be those who were happy to see him step down.

“Alright, the Executive Director has seen it now,” the Second Team Leader waved his hand, “let’s go.”

He and the Third Team Leader escorted Patriarch Feng out.

Only Fu Yunshen and Nie Yi were left in the interrogation room.

Nie Yi was relatively talkative when speaking with Fu Yunshen, he asked, “Yunshen, have those people been found?”

Fu Yunshen didn’t speak, looking out of the window at the night sky, his peach-blossom eyes slightly blurred.

“Not yet.” Seeing his expression, Nie Yi understood, “I really don’t know who could be so cruel.”

Twenty years had passed in an instant, yet the incident at the Fu Family remained a mystery.

Nie Yi paused, then added, “But lately, your emotions haven’t been out of control, it seems to be a good sign.”

Hearing this, Fu Yunshen turned to look at him, he smiled, the curve of his lips gentle, “Living in hatred doesn’t an I have to be controlled by it.”

He lightly skirted over the topic, “I’ll be returning to Shanghai City at the end of the month, if there’s anything else you need help with, let know in advance.”

Nie Yi nodded slightly, “Thank you.”

On the 15th, the ISC selection competition officially began.

The high school students participating in the selection downloaded a special app from the official website.

Apart from the overall leaderboard, each country and region had its own specific rankings.

The leaderboard was refreshed every ten minutes, based on scores.

Teng Yunng and Feng Yue had direct entry to the international competition, so they hadn’t participated.

Others like Xiu Yan, and the first of Verdant second year of high school Elite Class, had to go through the selection competition to secure their final spots.

Zuo Li glanced at the answering situation in the Hua Country region, frowning slightly.

Currently, Hua Country’s total score was behind regions like O Continent, M Continent, and other international areas.

But since the competition started at nine, just a few hours had gone by; it was too early to draw conclusions.

Zuo Li had actually anticipated this.

The pressure on high school studies was already intense, and they had announced during their promotion to prioritize college entrance exams.

Most students were answering questions in their spare ti, so naturally, the score growth was slow.

Zuo Li refreshed the overall leaderboard again, noticing the top ten had already been claid by several countries from O Continent.

At that mont, soone knocked on his office door.

Zuo Li ca back to his senses, “Co in.”

Ying Zijin entered, “Professor Zuo.”

“Classmate Ying, you’re here, I’d like you to help look at this question.” Zuo Li moved his computer over, “This ca from the International Physics Center, I’m stuck at this step, which is preventing the final result of the simulation experint.”

Ying Zijin bent slightly to look at the screen.

It was a problem involving Quantum chanics.

It was also a subject she started to learn after returning to Earth this ti.

Several hundred years ago, technology wasn’t as advanced as it is now, but when she discussed academics with Simon Brand, she had hypothesized about this field.

It had to be said, human intelligence truly surpassed all else in existence.

“Give a mont.” Ying Zijin took the computer and began typing on the keyboard.

Zuo Li watched intently.

Ten minutes later, Ying Zijin initiated the simulation experint.

The progress bar started fluctuating, soon reaching 100%.

Simulation successful!

Zuo Li’s eyes widened, “It worked.”

“Professor Zuo, I’ve marked this step in red for you,” Ying Zijin said. “Actually, you’d almost figured it out yourself, it was just a bit off; I completed it based on the formulas you had before.”

She hadn’t been studying Quantum chanics for long; if Zuo Li hadn’t worked out the earlier part, she might not have been able to solve it either.

Zuo Li said in a llow voice, “No, I was lacking your long, dense, and non-falling hair.”

“…”

“Tomorrow, we will assign a task to each group.” Zuo Li touched his hair, “You’ll independently create a physical device, Classmate Ying, I think you better not participate, give others a chance to shine.”

Ying Zijin paused, “Okay.”

She nodded and left the office.

Zuo Li carefully worked through it once more and after fully understanding the experint, he sent the results to the International Physics Center.

**

Evening.

The scores on the ISC leaderboard had risen even further.

The score of number one in the overall leaderboard had reached 78, which ant the person at the top had completed the basic ten questions and an additional 34 questions.

This number was astonishing.

The overall second place had just 64 points.

And on the leaderboard for the Hua Country region, the first place was 52 points.

This score barely made the top ten in the overall rankings.

Once the leaderboard went online, nurous comnts surged on foreign websites.

[Isn’t Hua Country a major academic country? Winning IMO gold dals year after year, always topping the group total scores, how co their performance is so lacking this ti?]

[Hua Country’s current first is from Imperial Capital University Affiliated Middle School, seems like they won’t make it either, can’t compete with Yilan Public School.]

[Yilan Public School is world-class, there’s no comparison.]

[Just wondering if Hua Country can have a contestant in the top three of the overall leaderboard this ti? First place with 52 points, really? Is that all? Not cutting it?]
