"The sky is raining blood…" Saeko murmured, staring at the dark clouds pouring blood over her body.
"This rain isn't normal; it contains a magical poison harmful to humans," Akatsuki said with a frown, then looked at the group. "Take cover from the bloody rain, because we don't know what effect it might have on you!"
"Is this rain dangerous?" Rika asked with a frown, and without hesitation, she took off her jacket and created a temporary umbrella from the rain itself.
"Yes, it's extrely toxic to ordinary humans. This red rain is actually highly concentrated magical power turned into liquid form," Akatsuki explained. In her world, there was sothing called a Mana Recovery Potion—a concentrated liquid mana that helped sorcerers restore their lost magical power. If soone without mana drank it, they would die or, at best, remain bedridden for a long ti until their magical power awakened. Many people's bodies could not adapt to the magical power and fell into a long sleep, with no certainty of when they would awaken.
"Hurry, everyone get into cars or nearby houses!!" Rika shouted anxiously, not caring about her loud voice, as the thunder and lightning made it impossible for the zombies to hear her. "Make sure to clean yourselves thoroughly from this bloody rain and don't let it touch your bodies again."
"Okay!!" Upon hearing Rika's words, Takashi didn't hesitate and pulled Rei, who was close to him, into a Humvee M1025, while Kohta dragged the frozen Saya into a nearby house to protect her from the bloody rain. She had been too distracted by her mother to notice the blood rain washing over her from head to toe.
Except for the group accompanying Kojou, fewer than ten people remained from Yuriko's group, and they had no problems hiding inside the bus they had taken from Takagi Estate.
Shizuka was already in a house because she needed to use the bathroom, so Rika didn't hesitate to rush to that house to warn her to stay inside and take cover.

Although Old Guards were weaker than Primogenitors, they were strong enough to destroy an entire continent. Their power also compared to that of a Heretic God, and a level 5 threat appearing in the High School of the Dead World was on par with an Old Guard or Heretic God—definitely not good news for the inhabitants of this world.
Despite the shocking information, Kojou quickly regained his composure and approached the guild mbers, who were the only ones on the street while the others hid.
"Are you all okay, guys?" Kojou asked curiously, his eyes scanning for any changes. He had analyzed the bloody rain on his body and discovered it was the blood of a very powerful magical creature. Although it appeared as liquid magic at first glance, the blood contained an aphrodisiac poison, sothing pure magical power could never possess.
"No problem. I have Murasa, which absorbs magical blood from the air," Aka replied calmly. Thanks to Murasa, she could utilize the magical power without side effects, her magical capacity increasing from bathing in it.
"I'm an Assassin and immune to poisons," Akatsuki lightly shook her head. Although she didn't know the exact type of poison in the blood rain, her skill prevented it from affecting her.
"Sorry, but I think I've been poisoned…" Saeko said with short breaths and a flushed face. Unlike the others, she had no way to resist the poison in the blood rain, and she hadn't yet unlocked her magical power to counter its effects.
"No need to worry; this aphrodisiac is nothing to ," Kojou said lightly, placing Yuriko into Aka's hands. "Take care of her for a bit."
"…." Aka said nothing, nodding as she watched Kojou approach Saeko with curiosity.
It wasn't just Aka watching curiously; Akatsuki and Saeko were also observing Kojou.
"Bear with a little…" Kojou said, wrapping his arms around Saeko's slim waist and pulling her close, pressing her body to his and burying his face in her neck, taking a deep breath as his hands began kneading her hips.
Feeling Saeko's body, Kojou allowed the bloody rain to drench him, arousing his desires and stimulating his vampire instincts.
Not hesitating, Kojou sank his fangs into Saeko's neck, injecting a little of his magical and spiritual power to help her neutralize the aphrodisiac poison, as well as assist her in rging with the fragnt of Lucifer's soul.
Although Kojou had wanted to retrieve the Lucifer fragnt, it was impossible without killing Saeko. So he abandoned that plan and instead helped her rge more with the fragnt. The Lucifer soul shard she possessed was the size of a grain of sand, not very important to Kojou, and he didn't mind losing it.
He decided to let Saeko keep it while planning to make her swear loyalty to him. Even if it was just a tiny fragnt, possessing a shard of Lucifer's soul was extrely dangerous, especially with the guild allowing travel to other dinsions. Other shards might try to kill her to absorb the rged fragnt, so it was safer for her to stay by his side.
