The Trending Topic Herself: The Villainess is the Superstar! Chapter 97: God’s Favored Child
Scott’s character is reliable and steady, always coming to comfort her whenever anything happens.
Maya felt that it was unlikely she could get the information she wanted from Scott.
She rarely focused her attention away from being a food blogger to glance at her number of followers.
The original owner already had many haters, and unexpectedly, after she took over, she further carried on this tradition.
Scott noticed Maya engrossed in looking at her personal hopage, her gaze lingering on that number of followers.
Scott, of course, knew how popular Maya had beco recently, and seeing her achieve results, he sincerely felt happy for her.
Scott didn’t like Maya much initially because when she got angry, she would throw cups and chairs, and the scalding tea could painfully burn her skin, while the heavy, solid wood would leave glaring red marks on his shins.
But at so point, Scott noticed a change in Maya; she was still proud by nature but no longer resorted to violent ans. Previously, even nurous luxury brands couldn’t satisfy her, but suddenly, she beca exceptionally easy to please; a couple of dishes could satisfy her picky stomach. She often enjoyed wandering around leisurely, like a sated cat.
Soon, they heard the director with a gaphone calling for the next scene to be shot.
Maya held a piece of translucent, alluring amber-colored dried fruit in her hand, which was appetizing.
She expertly posed for the cara, showing a genuine smile.
She wore a square-necked long dress, revealing her slender, delicate collarbone. The stylish, elegant black dress made her skin look snow-white, with her beautiful long hair cascading down like a waterfall, adding a hint of wildness.
Her eyebrows were not particularly soft, but they matched just right with the slightly reckless smile at the corner of her lips.
For a mont, it was hard to tell which was more enticing: the dried fruit or the beauty.
The photographer quickly captured the stunning scene in front of him. Maya’s striking image and strong cara presence made the photographer feel it was a pity Maya wasn’t shooting fashion spreads.
She seed like a favored child of God, perfect in every way.
"Cut!"
After finishing the shoot, Maya put down the dried fruit in her hand. She did so easily because she heard from Scott that so chemical agents were used on the dried fruit for the advertisent to enhance its brightness and make the shot look better.
The director didn’t forget to co over and shake her hand: "It’s truly an honor to work with you. Miss Monroe’s performance has never let us down! Choosing you as the spokesperson was the best decision!"
Maya reached out her hand, but her real intention wasn’t in the handshake: "Will you mail so of the dried fruit?"
She asked directly and boldly, yet without any ulterior motives.
The director laughed heartily: "If you like them, I can contact the brand to send you several more boxes. After all, the dried fruit has a long shelf life! There’s no more convincing advertisent than having the spokesperson genuinely enjoy our product!"
Maya also smiled: "Then that would be great, thank you."
Scott, with the other assistants and bodyguards standing behind, nodded in emotion. Maya increasingly showed the deanor of a superstar, negotiating with the director so easily and happily.
After bidding farewell to the director, Maya got into the car to leave with Scott and the others.

"What did you say? You can’t even manage such a small thing?" Kiki’s voice was filled with anger.
On the other side, Tiffany Lawson paused, then sneered: "I see you’ve grown wings now, daring to speak to like this! Don’t forget who pulled you out of the mud when you were playing an extra, lying dead on the ground. Not being grateful to is one thing, but daring to talk to this way?!"
Kiki tried hard to suppress her inner grievances. Back then, it was Tiffany Lawson who confidently promised to make Maya "a big deal," using Maya’s ridiculous performance at the eting. But nothing ca of it, and she returned with her tail between her legs!
Looking once again at Tiffany Lawson’s plain and diocre face, Kiki only felt extre disgust. But now wasn’t the ti to fall out with her.
The Monroe Family was declining year by year, unable to help her much, and she had no strong backing, naturally left to be manipulated. Monica Jacobs advised her not to stay in the entertainnt industry, saying it was dangerous. How could Kiki listen to her? Not to ntion she refused to be diocre, Maya was thriving in the entertainnt circle, and how could Kiki possibly leave easily? That would be like bowing down and admitting defeat to Maya!
Moreover... why doesn’t Monica advise Maya to quit the entertainnt circle, willing to indulge Maya in whatever she does...
Indeed, the one found just recently can’t compare to the one raised by your side.
Kiki restrained her expression, trying her best to control her emotions: "I didn’t an it that way, I’m actually blaming myself. If I weren’t so disappointing, you wouldn’t be belittled!"
Kiki’s eyes shifted: "So, Tiffany... can you tell exactly what happened? Didn’t you say that if we create a buzz, it would be enough?"
Tiffany Lawson shook her head, and seeing Kiki softening her attitude, she didn’t press aggressively: "Ryan Spencer made plans in advance and contacted the entertainnt reporters, this matter is not as simple as you think. In my years at Valerius Entertainnt, Ryan Spencer always overshadowed ..."
She seed to rember sothing, turning her sharp gaze back to Kiki: "Why do you act clueless? I found you such a good opportunity, and you didn’t cherish it! I don’t know what you find so disdainful; it’s not like I’m asking you to cut off flesh or sell blood. This is just a mutually beneficial transaction. You think the entertainnt circle is a charitable ground, watching you excel and then promoting you vigorously? At twenty years old, stop dreaming such sweet dreams!"
"With backing and resources, see who dares to ss with you, who dares not to treat you well?"
"I’ve said my piece, the rest you need to ponder over yourself; you have to know that opportunities aren’t everywhere, and grabbing them is important."
If it weren’t for how she currently couldn’t afford to fall out with Tiffany Lawson, Kiki would really want to pull her hair out to see her suffer.
Joking aside, she’s ant for bigger things; how could she let even a shred of a scandal touch her?
Maya may be vilified online, but she aims to maintain her good reputation forever. She’s definitely not going to carry a bad reputation around like Maya...
Kiki lowered her head: "I understand, I’ll think it over carefully."
