Ryan Spencer personally ca to pick up Maya Monroe. He genuinely didn’t expect Maya’s performance on "Great Survival Challenge" to be so impressive; she even won the Best Popularity Award.

Ryan recalled how Maya had initially agreed with a half-hearted attitude, looking dull and lifeless. He thought she hadn’t taken his words to heart. Little did he know, Maya not only took them to heart but implented them perfectly.

He felt a small sense of emotion, realizing Maya had always been the good kid who listened to him.

"Great Survival Challenge" was already a highly popular variety show. In recent days, any news about Maya Monroe frequently dominated the trending searches, and her followers on Weibo increased by millions, continuing to rise.

This experience truly washed away quite a bit of the negative rumors around Maya.

Ryan stepped out of the car and saw Maya, humming and pulling a bunch of suitcases, while a staff mber behind her carried a round coconut.

Ryan paused for a mont, seemingly not quite comprehending the scene before him, but instinctively took so of Maya’s luggage: "Why do you have so many suitcases?"

Maya smiled, her eyes curving into crescent moons, vibrant yet delicate: "These are all my snacks, so many delicious things."

Ryan didn’t recall her taking so much food before she left, but it wasn’t the ti to bring it up. He took the coconut from the staff mber: "Thank you for your hard work, sorry for the trouble."

The staff mber waved and then turned to leave.

Ryan put all of Maya’s luggage in the trunk and then got into the car.

"You must be pretty tired today, so I haven’t scheduled anything else. Go ho and rest well. You’ve worked hard these past few days. I watched the live stream and didn’t expect you to be so capable!"

Finally escaping the bitter ordeal, Maya didn’t even want to ntion that awful variety show: "It’s all in the past."

Her expression was indifferent and calm, as if she truly didn’t care about the hardships she faced.

Ryan sighed, noting Maya had grown up, and continued: "Your strategy this ti was pretty good. I didn’t expect your laid-back style to win over the audience surprisingly! Haha, you thought ahead about how to gain popularity, didn’t you? Well done! By the way...how did you manage to set up the tent and make a fire by friction? I don’t rember you having those skills."

Maya focused on his last statent. She squinted slightly, maintaining a composed expression, and even pretended to be smug: "I’m so clever I learn anything quickly. I just need to watch a few tis on TV dramas, and I can do it."

Ryan nodded, without a hint of doubt.

Previously, Maya had acted high-profile and arrogant, but now she had beco much more composed. Perhaps she truly had a breakthrough. From her rapidly improving acting skills to her excellent performance on the variety show, perhaps her natural intelligence was the only explanation.

Maya’s personality had changed, and she knew how to work hard now. That’s good...

Ryan chatted with her a bit more, ntioning she’d been trending a lot and gained many followers.

"What?" Maya exclaid in surprise.

How strange, she hadn’t even clashed with Kiki Monroe, yet so many people ca over to scold her? Could it really be that the villainous aura is just too strong, making her so unlikable?

She quickly cald down, thinking it was fine this way.

Ryan thought Maya was excited about gaining followers. He didn’t complint her, fearing she’d beco arrogant again, so he just smiled and said, "Keep it up."

Ryan finally dropped Maya off at ho: "Rest well today."

He said, opening the trunk to help her take the luggage out.

Maya held onto the luggage handle: "Working again by tomorrow?"

Ryan nodded: "That’s why you should get a good rest today. Recently, many big brands are inviting you as their spokesperson. I’ll need to review them. ’Wandering Beyond the Horizon’ broke viewership records, and there will be a fan eting in a few days. Rember that."

Those two days on the deserted island nearly made Maya forget about "Wandering Beyond the Horizon." She paused for a second, then recalled its existence.

"Okay."

It wasn’t long before the housekeeper and others ca down to help Maya with her luggage: "Ma’am, you’re finally back. Sir has been thinking about you every day these days!"

Hearing her speak well of Ian Rowe, Maya humd in response, then waved Ryan goodbye.

Ian wasn’t ho at the mont, likely at the office.

Maya and the housekeeper moved the luggage to the bedroom.

The housekeeper asked: "Ma’am, should I just leave the luggage here, or should I unpack it for you?"

Maya waved her hand.

It’s most convenient to keep them in the bedroom for easy access.

"Ma’am, this coconut..." The housekeeper still held the coconut.

Maya thought for a mont: "Leave the coconut in the living room; I’ll co down later."

"Okay."

Ian returned ho at around seven in the evening, looking sowhat fatigued.

As soon as he saw that familiar figure on the sofa, sothing stirred within him.

Maya noticed Ian too, grabbing the coconut and, in her slippers, rushed toward him with little steps.

"Hubby, I’ve missed you so much, without you I’m just lost, sleepless, staring at a coconut tree on the beach thinking of your... face..."

Alright, she admitted that although she could babble nonsense, her prose wasn’t quite up to par.

Recently swamped with a big project, Ian hardly had any sleep these past few days. But hearing Maya’s words, all his fatigue seed to vanish: "Why didn’t you call or text before you ca back?"

If so, he would have co ho earlier.

"The dead bird—cough, cough, the deserted island was in isolation. For the sake of the show’s effect, the crew took away our phones. Otherwise, I would’ve called you earlier, as I was so lost without you, staring at a coconut tree imagining your face..."

She repeated the line again, doubling the cheesiness.

Sure enough, Ian’s expression slightly changed.

Maya seized the opportunity to present her coconut, spouting nonsense: "Look, hubby, this is a gift I painstakingly found for you. The crew had packed up to leave, but I took wave after wave of criticism upon myself, running thousands of ters to find this most perfect coconut for you. See how perfectly round and lovely it is! The most perfect coconut for the most cherished person!"

Her speech was so impassioned it could move listeners to tears.

The coconut in Maya’s hand, a fresh green, was adorably round.

From behind, the housekeeper just shook her head. Although she was of an older generation, she knew giving a coconut wasn’t romantic at all.

People usually gift watches, cakes, or biscuits. Who would give an immature coconut?!

Too unromantic...
