"What the heck is this? There’s no group info here. I’ve only got a banana!"

"Mine’s an orange!"

"I’ve got mulberries..."

...

Miles Wallace asked Maya Monroe beside him, "Senior, what’s on your bottle cap?"

"A red apple," Maya replied. "And yours?"

"An avocado." Miles spread his fingers, revealing the avocado design on the plastic bottle cap.

"Avocado... green," Maya murmured.

"Green?" Miles showed so confusion on his face. "What does this have to do with color?"

Maya pondered, "It’s just a guess. We’ll know the group results in a bit."

Jamie Miller stared at the mulberry design on his cap, a bit bewildered, "Mulberry... what does this an? All of our caps have fruit designs; how are we supposed to divide into groups?"

The guide fanned slowly a couple of tis with a bamboo fan. "Since there are fruit designs, we’ll naturally divide by them."

Jamie contemplated out loud, "How do you group fruits? By berries and lons?"

"This is the first ti I’ve heard of grouping by fruit. This is way out there!" Justin Morgan urged, clutching the cap in his hand, "Just announce the groups already! Stop dawdling..."

The guide stepped forward, checking each guest’s bottle cap design one by one.

After reviewing them, he returned to his original spot. "As it stands, Maya Monroe has a red apple design, Kiki Monroe has blueberries, Miles Wallace is avocado, Jamie Miller is mulberries, Justin Morgan is banana, and Jessica Young is orange."

The guests nodded in agreent.

"According to the grouping rule—"

"Maya and Miles are one group, Kiki and Justin are another, and Jamie and Jessica form the last."

Justin couldn’t hold back his excitent and kept making faces at Kiki, "Kiki, seems like we’re really ant to be together..."

The guide scanned the group, "Does anyone have any objections to the current grouping?"

"No objections, but..." Jamie asked, "How exactly were the groups divided? I can’t figure it out."

Kiki also chid in, "Yeah, director, I’m curious about that too."

Privately, Kiki actually wanted to be grouped with Miles, since he had a huge following. Being in a group with him would definitely boost her exposure.

Though Justin was all ears when it ca to her, his big mouth and bad reputation were too notorious to compare with the forr.

"How were the groups divided? It’s simple~"

At so point, the guide had discarded his bamboo fan and was now fiddling with a leaf he picked up from sowhere.

"According to the color theory, red and green, blue and orange, yellow and purple are complentary colors."

"Take Maya and Miles’ group, for instance. Maya’s apple design is red, and Miles’ avocado is green. Red and green are complentary, so they’re a group. The sa principle applies to the others."

"I never thought of it that way. The show’s really creative," Justin said, slightly agape, "but I have to say, the grouping works well."

The guide chuckled, "No more questions, I assu?"

No one else raised a question.

"Since it’s the last episode, we’ve decided to give the guests a perk. Though there won’t be breakfast supplies, we can offer housing—"

"Please co forward to draw your lodgings."

Justin was the first to step up, "The show is getting more and more interesting, but it won’t leave us stranded. However..."

"Offering lodgings feels a bit unnecessary. There are so many villagers here; there must be plenty of empty houses. We could easily arrange one ourselves."

"Are you sure you want to forgo the lodging draw?"

The guide’s voice drifted over.

Justin felt a slight pain on his arm where Kiki pinched him anxiously.

He quickly changed his tune, "I an, I’m just kidding. Don’t take it seriously."

"Justin certainly loves to joke~"

Justin couldn’t discern any amusent in the guide’s words, so he gave an awkward chuckle.

Jamie and Jessica also approached, "What’s the order for the drawing?"

"The drawing order... let think." The guide propped his chin with one hand.

"According to red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, violet, Maya’s group goes first, followed by Jessica’s group, and then Justin’s."

"Why are we last?" Justin protested.

"It was your choice of drink," the guide replied, indicating Maya, "Your group goes first."

Maya looked at Miles, "I’m usually unlucky, so you go ahead and draw."

Miles hesitated, "I’m not lucky either. You should go, senior."

No matter what world you’re in, luck always plays a part, and it’s well known Maya is exceptionally unlucky.

"I really am unlucky."

Miles didn’t mind, "It’s fine. Whatever house we draw is okay. Don’t worry about it, senior."

Maya stepped forward, "Do we draw here?"

The guide gestured for her to put her hand into the box, "Draw a card."

Maya placed her hand in the box, fumbled for a few seconds, and pulled out a card.

"You can open it and see."

Maya obediently unwrapped the card.

After reading the text, she paused for a few seconds before regaining her composure.

All eyes were on Maya.

Miles leaned down slightly, "What is it?"

Maya handed the card to Miles, "My luck defies logic."

The guide took the card and announced, "Maya’s group drew... a dilapidated cabin untouched for nine years."

Outrageously unlucky.

Miles comforted Maya, "The house isn’t bad."

Maya nodded.

Jamie frowned, "Nine years unoccupied...? Are all the houses like this?"

"Drawing will tell," the guide said, "and it’s your group’s turn now."

After so discussion, Jessica decided to draw for their group.

The guide read the result, "Jessica’s group got the cozy cabin. Not bad."

Jessica breathed a sigh of relief, "Sounds good. Cozy shouldn’t be too bad."

Finally, it was Kiki and Justin’s turn to draw. Kiki insisted on drawing the card, and Justin didn’t object.

"The last group, the result should already be certain," Kiki muttered.

"Let’s give it a try."

Kiki agreed, avoiding eye contact with the guide.

She inexplicably felt sothing odd about the guide and was reluctant to communicate with him.
