[Maya Monroe: Maya is amazing! Goodness, I was stunned! How did she find so many cards in such a short ti? (In awe)]

[LostTraveller: As expected, Maya Monroe is always the most proactive when it cos to going ho. I’ve never seen her so serious. It’s obvious that she’s eager to find the key and return ho quickly.]

[Barefoot: Wow, Maya darling is incredible. Just glancing at the formula on that card gave a headache; I couldn’t understand it at all. But Maya managed to find the next card based on the clues for decryption... (Stunned)]

Maya Monroe walked to the end of this road, and by "end," it refers to the designated area set by the program team, not the entire expansive rainforest.

The staff said to her, "Ms. Maya Monroe, please don’t go any further. It’s getting late, and you should head back now."

Maya nodded; indeed, it was ti to return. Tomorrow she planned to continue in another pre-planned direction, believing it wouldn’t take long to find all the cards.

Maya accomplished in less than half a day what other guests couldn’t achieve in three or four days, leaving the staff quite moved.

A sudden scream ca from not far away, a scream full of terror, seemingly belonging to Jessica Young.

The staff’s expressions changed simultaneously, and they quickly rushed toward the direction of the sound.

Maya’s gaze turned serious, shedding her casual deanor, and without hesitation, she followed the sound.

"You, how could you push him?! How could you push Miles Wallace?!" Jessica’s voice was filled with desperation as she looked incredulously at Justin Morgan in front of her.

The group of them had set out together to find clues, although their harvest was ager. Initially, they didn’t want Justin to join as his mobility was limited. Yet, Justin insisted on being in the lilight for the cara and popularity, slowing down the group’s progress. The staff had advised against it several tis, but Justin, eager to showcase himself, wouldn’t listen.

The accident transpired when a vividly colored, aggressive, large venomous snake suddenly erged from the bushes.

At the critical mont, Miles saved Justin’s life, but unexpectedly, Justin pushed Miles forward in his attempt to escape.

"Miles will die... he’s going to die..." Jessica’s voice quivered. Though she often engaged in unscrupulous acts like stealing resources and stepping on others, she never intended to harm anyone fatally. Justin’s action was beyond her expectations and utterly unacceptable.

Justin’s face was pale as a sheet, clearly terrified. He swallowed a dry gulp and continued to move backward, trying to distance himself from Miles and the dangerous snake.

Miles stood still, afraid to move, fearing any action might provoke the attacking snake.

Despite his composed expression, his pale lips were nearly bitten through. After all, from a certain perspective, he was just a nineteen-year-old boy.

Nobody knew how the snake appeared, a completely unforeseen event. Many among the staff were trained bodyguards, but facing a swift, venomous boa, pure violence wasn’t an option, as it couldn’t guarantee Miles’ safety.

The situation grew tense.

Jessica noticed another group of staff approaching and hurriedly called out, "Miles! Miles..."

The staff gestured for her to lower her voice, careful not to attract the snake’s attention.

Covering her mouth, tears stread down Jessica’s face, but she dared not speak further.

The snake hissed, its scarlet tongue flickering, revealing sharp, vicious fangs.

Staff cautiously approached, wielding a wooden stick, intending to strike the snake at its vulnerable spot when it least expected it.

However, the snake was remarkably agile, detecting danger almost instantly. Its cold, vertical pupils shimred with a chilling light as it twisted to evade the deadly blow, lunging fiercely at the staff.

The staff quickly retreated, causing the snake’s attempt to fall short. Yet, it soon targeted another victim... Miles!

For the first ti, despair surged within Miles. He cared for little beyond music, but facing mortal danger, panic was unavoidable.

The snake lunged aggressively, and Miles swiftly sidestepped.

But this didn’t an he was out of danger. The snake seed further enraged, its massive body writhing with an intense ferocity.

Miles’ heart skipped two beats; there was no ti to dodge...

Maya, closely following the staff, reached the scene. The unfolding events struck her nerves, and she instinctively furrowed her brow almost imdiately.

As the snake launched its attack, Maya grabbed the staff’s wooden stick and rushed forward.

All anyone saw was a rapid blur; no one could fathom how swiftly Maya moved, reaching the snake’s rear almost instantaneously.

Maya raised the stick and fiercely struck the snake’s belly.

A snake’s vital spot isn’t easy to find, especially as Maya had limited experience combating snakes.

The snake’s belly, soft and vulnerable, wasn’t a spot for a lethal blow but was enough to inflict pain and temporarily disable it.

Focused solely on attacking Miles, the snake was caught off guard as Maya took advantage of its opening, collapsing it with a wail.

Maya knew that the snake’s temporary incapacitation didn’t an all danger had passed, so she quickly grabbed Miles, shouting, "Run! Quickly!!"

The surrounding people realized the situation and fled back the way they ca.

Maya had her own standards and a personal asure. She possessed a natural, almost obsessive reverence for "life."

She was in awe of life, respecting it, and never deliberately killed anyone for profit, even in the harshest of survival settings.

Whenever bloodshed occurred, there were always those who closed their eyes in helplessness...

Maya didn’t glorify slaughter, regardless of the bloody and dirty environnts she had been in.

Why was she working so hard on these tasks? rely for revival, for life, for the endless vigor of existence...

And so, when assured of saving Miles, she acted—without a mont for consideration. She wasn’t a soft-hearted, good person; she simply followed her heart’s thoughts at that mont.

Life is worthy of reverence...

She always believed that.
