Chapter 59: Ch 59: The Alpha who chase- Part 1

Sasha’s eyes were clear when she spoke and her voice held no hesitation. She was serious about coming with us.

But she was too fragile, even if she was the healer of this team. Clearly, Joshua had the sa thought as

because he frowned before he denied Sasha.

"I am afraid I cannot agree with your request, Sasha. It is too dangerous for

to take you along. You might beco a distraction for ."

He told the healer, and Sasha looked like she was about to cry.

"B-But... I am the healer..."

"That’s even more of a reason for you to stay here as backup. Who would heal you if you get injured?"

Amy interfered and Sasha looked even more hurt. But she finally ca around and cald down.

I did not speak anything the whole ti, but I internally cheered. The fewer people who enter the dungeon, the better it would be for .

The black mass in my pocket stirred as it sensed the energy of the dungeon. I could feel movent, but I remained quiet and allowed it to move around.

"Let’s get going now. Manet and I will enter the dungeon while you all stay back here and be ready to provide backup."

Joshua’s words were final, and no one else spoke anything. I followed the other oga, but I also noticed other teams giving us weird looks.

"Don’t pay any attention to others. They are just curious because we have chosen to send two ogas in the dungeon alone. We just need to do a good job in order to shut their ugly mouths."

Joshua told

as he walked with his head held up and proud. His body language told

that this was sothing he dealt with quite a lot.

I followed him and stood beside the other team entering at the sa ti as we did. My eyes moved to look at the offensive alpha who was trying to flaunt his scent in my face.

My displeasure must have been clear on my face because he pulled his scent back.

"Ah, sorry-! Was that too much for you? Maybe you fragile ogas should stay out of the dungeon like this? After all, you cannot even take my scent without shaking."

The alpha laughed as he told

this. I neither knew the alpha nor had any desire to entertain him. So I looked away from him and pretended as if I had not heard him.

That pissed off the proud alpha even more and he almost lost his composure.

"You bitch-! How dare you-!"

He almost grabbed

before another alpha held him back. Now this new alpha I recognized as the one Sam had told

about.

’So this is the scum that decided to abandon Joshua’s team for a better opportunity? His face looks scummy enough.’

I nodded to myself but pretended I was not interested in what was going on around .

"Hey, calm down. You should not cause a scene out here where everyone can see. If you are going to do anything, at least wait until we get inside the dungeon first."

The scummy alpha told the annoying one and they both cald down.

Now I was sure that they were planning sothing inside the dungeon and I was ready to take them down.

From the corner of my eyes, I noticed that Lynn was looking at

and frowning as he did. I was sure he had heard what these two alphas talked about as well.

But I was not going to entertain him with my attention.

[Everyone, get ready. The dungeon is opening for you all.]

The announcer announced before the bright light opened the gate for us. I was in the middle group with Joshua when we entered and we imdiately went the way we needed to before anyone could follow us.

"Alright, our objective here is simple. We need to find the flag located at one of the specific locations marked on the map and get back in ti. Once we do that, we will be announced as having passed the semi-finals."

The task sounded simple, but it was not as simple. There were only 6 flags, which ant that only 6 teams could pass out of 14 current teams.

The competition was cutthroat, and a team like Joshua’s should not have made it this far if not for the circumstances.

Most top hunters had either not participated in the championship to avoid embarrassing themselves, or had backed out due to dungeon ergencies before we got this far.

In that regard, we were truly lucky to have made it to a point where we never should have.

"What are you thinking about, Manet?"

Joshua asked, and I decided to speak up.

"I just think... it’s weird how we made it this far. Not that I am questioning our skill or anything. We only have you as our top hunter. The rest had teams with hunters in the top 10. Why were they made to leave and head to ergencies?"

I asked, and Joshua also paused. Suddenly, he looked confused as well.

"Hmm, you are right. Sothing does feel fishy here. It’s almost as if this is a trap. Do you think we should back out as well?"

The other oga asked, and I almost answered before I sensed human presence around us.

We were no longer alone in the dungeon and I had a feeling I knew exactly who ca after us.

"Let’s think about this later. For now, we have so guests to take care of."

I told Joshua, and he sighed before he rolled his shoulders and took a fighting stance. He was ready to hurt so people as well.

"Alright, if you say so, then this is what we should do. I can sense two of them. Should we both take one? Or would you need my help?"

Joshua asked, and I almost scoffed at that offer.

’Imagine asking the no.1 hunter in the world if he needs help with such a small task.’

I wanted to chuckle, but I held myself back and nodded at Joshua. Our small talk irritated our stalkers into coming out to greet us.

"Tsk, you have not changed a single bit in the ti we were apart, Joshua. You are still that arrogant bitch who refuses to see

as a proper alpha. And looks like you found soone similar to yourself as well. This should make things easier for us now."

The scummy alpha spoke with anger coating his voice. Beside him was the alpha who tried to intimidate

with his pheromones before.

"Well, what can I say? I did not want to associate myself with a scum like you, so I got rid of you. Why, do you have a problem with this or sothing?"

Joshua asked, and those words caused the alpha to get even angrier, and he lashed out at Joshua.

"Manet, you take care of yourself for a while. I will deal with this scum and co back to your side soon."

Joshua assured

before he engaged the scummy alpha in a fight. I looked at my own opponent, and he looked back at

with a calm look on his face.
