Chapter 165: Ch 165: A Story only I know- Part 6
"I need to go. Please, let
go."
Theo told the other scientists as they reached out to hold him back. His plea caused a lot of the scientists to hesitate. They felt sorry for him and did not want to harm him.
But Theo ignored them and kept walking.
Of course, the news of his eccentric behaviour spread across the whole facility in no ti, and the head scientist quickly ca down to check up on him. And he looked pissed off.
"Theo, don’t be a kid and co back right now. Ugh, do you have any idea what problems you are causing for us here?"
He asked in a terrifying voice, trying to make Theo bow to his will.
Subject 357 was soone who had always listened to him and done as he had asked. So he was sure that even this ti, his will wouldn’t be defied. He would make Theo co back to the facility one way or another.
But when he looked at Theo’s eyes, he felt a certain numbness that told him that things wouldn’t go the way he wanted them to.
No shred of obedience could be seen in those blank eyes in front of him. Not even a single bit of compassion remained in those eyes, which caused him to shudder.
"H-Hey, I am warning you to behave. I won’t ask you again..."
The head scientist warned as he took a step back. He suddenly felt like he had been cornered by sothing. He was the prey, and Theo was the hunter in their small ga of chase.
Sharp green eyes t the head scientist’s own, and he gulped in nervousness. He suddenly felt like his life was on the line here.
"Head scientist, I no longer want to do as you have asked
to do. I am sorry, but I will be taking my leave now."
Theo told him as he started to walk away. The head scientist looked pissed off, and he gritted his teeth in anger.
"Do you truly think you would be able to change anything even if you do this? You were born a pawn, so remain as a pawn. That is all you are good for—"
The man yelled, letting his anger and worry take over his voice. He regretted not even a single thing, and Theo sighed in a mournful way.
"I see. If that’s how you feel, then I guess there is nothing I can do to help you. I just hope that you sohow find a better solution for yourself in your next life, head scientist. And may we never et again."
Theo told him as he snapped his fingers, and fire lit up in his hand. It grew slowly at first, but all of a sudden, it felt like an inferno that threatened to swallow everything around him.
The facility caught fire before anyone could blink, and they all looked at Theo with a shocked expression.
"W-What are you—!"
"This is goodbye. I hope we never have to et again."
Theo told them as he walked away. Or tried to, because the head scientist was not going to let him get away like this.
"Y-You fucker—! Do you truly think you have what it takes to leave
like this? I won’t allow you to break free. At least, not yet."
The head scientist roared as the facility around him burned. He took out a small button before he pressed it.
And as soon as he did, Theo’s legs collapsed, and small shocks went through his body. He felt like he could no longer move even a bit.
"Y-You truly thought we would let you and any other test subjects exist without any precautions? No chance. We will drag you back and then rebuild this facility. All our hard work needs to show fruit."
The man yelled as he walked toward Theo and looked down. Theo looked back up as well, and their eyes t each other.
But as soon as the head scientist reached for Theo, his powers moved, and the head scientist’s stomach was pierced. The last thing he saw were those two eyes looking at him before he felt like his brain was lting.
He had used too much power, and he had also not rested for a while.
’Don’t worry. I will take care of everything for you. But you will need to forget about everything for so ti.’
Theo’s other half suddenly told him as he was falling asleep. Theo tried to reach for that voice to speak back. He did not want to forget his other half or the feelings he had for Ace.
He had managed to survive ten years because of these two things, and he no longer wanted to forget them.
The voice spoke to him once more and even reached for him as his eyes closed.
’Don’t worry. I promise you won’t forget much about . I will always remain a part of your world and a place you can return to. But for now, just close your eyes and allow your body to fall asleep. Leave the rest to .’
The voice told Theo, and he followed its instructions. He closed his eyes and allowed his body to relax. Sleep ca over him quickly as soon as he did that, and his mories began to fade.
’Once you recall what’s happening, our destiny should already be underway. We shall beco separate and whole once more. And our oga shall be ours for eternity.’
The voice told Theo, but he could no longer focus on it. Instead, he felt the serene white take over him... and then, he woke up once more and t Ace... or Kyle, and his life started anew.
Suddenly, the world felt brighter, and his breath felt short. He always wanted to be with Kyle, to give him the best, and to never recall what he had forgotten.
But unfortunately, that was not what fate had written for him, and he had a destiny to fulfil.
