I was used to getting all the looks from other people, but the current attention was too much for .
I did not know whether the world had beco bolder or whether they had forgotten their fear of , but the reporters imdiately surrounded
even before I stepped out of the car.
"Sir Ace, you are here. There are a few questions we need to ask you. Would you mind speaking to us?"
The reporters shoved each other out of the way to get to , and it would have been amusing had it not been concerning.
At this rate, soone was going to get hurt, and it would be my fault.
So I coughed to get their attention, and all the reporters turned to look at
imdiately.
"Get out of my way. You are blocking my way."
I simply told them, but my voice also carried so weight. Everyone gulped as they looked at
before they hesitantly gave

I quickly took advantage of the ti they were confused and hesitant to walk past them and head toward the burnt building.

an amused look as he looked back at the confused reporters.
"You did not even need my help to deal with the reporters. And here I was, ready to be your knight in shining armor and make you be in my debt."
The alpha joked around, and I felt a snort escape my mouth.
"I don’t think there will ever co a day I would need your help that desperately... at least, I hope there never cos a day like that. Anyway, we should focus on the task at hand. I can feel so kind of... disturbance in the air."
Now that I said those words aloud, there really was sothing weird I could feel in the air. The heaviness in the air did not feel natural.
A few other hunters with suitable abilities were also lurking around, trying to find out what happened. But no one seed to have cracked the case just yet.
"Hunter Lynn, are you here for the case as well? Would you like a report of what we were able to find out so far? And that is... no way? I-is that Ace?"
Soone questioned as they walked over to Lynn to try and win his favor. But their eyes widened as soon as they noticed my presence as well.
Instead of waving off the situation, Lynn just gave the person in front of him a huge smile before he introduced
to them.
"Of course! Do you know anyone else that dashing and daring? I have THE Ace here in the flesh. But keep your distance, or he might bite."
Lynn joked around, but the hunters and detectives who were there looked too star-struck to take his warning seriously.
I had a feeling that I was not going to get any rest for so ti now.
"Ace? That Ace?"
"So the announcent was not false?"
"What about the association? Didn’t they tell us that there was a cause behind this?"
"Of course, the association lied. Anyway, they got their just desserts with what recently happened—"
Instead of working, people began to gossip about
and the association. Not that I expected anything else.
"I’ll go and check out the other side. Keep
posted if you find anything."
I told Lynn before I walked over to the burned building and entered it.
A few people made a motion to stop
but decided to give up in the end. They realized that there was no argunt they could make that would stop
from going inside.
Once inside, I decided to look around the building. But there seed to be no visible traces at first.
That left
with no choice but to use my system to do the work.
"Alright, it’s ti to start working."

Undercover was a powerful ability... rather, it was one of the ultimate abilities one could hope to get.
It allowed the user to see clips of the past to figure out what happened at a place. But there was a huge downfall if one chose to use this ability – the power that one had to use.
Even I, with my seemingly infinite power, could only maintain it for about 5 minutes at a ti before running out.
That made this ability impractical to use anywhere that was not safe. Especially in a dungeon. That would be a death sentence if I ever did that.
For now, I was safe, and I doubted that anything would happen. So I used my power, and the image of the past superimposed on the present, giving the world a retro filter-like effect.
I ignored the scene and focused on what was happening. I had to filter out a lot of stuff.
The world moved around
as if it was moving at a 10x movie speed, and I needed it to be this fast if I wanted to find out anything. Thankfully, my brain kept up with the fast-paced action in front of , and I watched as soone gave Rose sothing.
It was nothing out of the ordinary, but sothing about that mont struck
as odd.
But trying to follow the man or Rose did not result in much until I reached the next day. And then, the world went dark.
"What the heck is this distortion? Why is it so strong? I need to resist—"

The system warned
too late, and even if I tried to break free of the power trying to grab hold of , I was not able to.
I was ultimately dragged toward the power, and it swallowed .
For the first ti in a while, my heart skipped a beat as I felt my consciousness fading in the back of my mind. I was going to lose myself at this rate.
’Kyle, you need to co back, alright. Don’t give in to this feeling.’
Theo’s words echoed in my mind, and I fought to drag myself out of the ss I had found myself in.
The world kept trying to drag
down, but I was not going to allow that. I had soone waiting for
to co back.
"I need... to fight. I cannot be exhausted just by using this much power. I need to make it back sohow."
I reminded myself as the power dragging
down slowly died down and finally let
out. I gasped as I erged from the bubble, and when I opened my eyes, I felt weird.
