Chapter 104: Ch 104: Awkward Mont- Part 2
My words caused Emma to shake her head.
"People usually ask their bosses to go easy on them. But alright! Since you told
I can go hard on you, you better prepare yourself. I will work you to the bone."
Emma seed to be going back to her normal self, and I felt a sense of relief wash over . It was strong enough to make
stagger, and I let out a sigh.
I felt eyes on , and when I looked up, Theo was giving
a small smile that I returned.
Things were going to be just fine. I was sure about this now.
However, things did not return back to normal right away. Emma and Ben left to check up on the café the next day, and that left , Kuro, and Theo all alone in the house.
I had quite a bit to talk about with Theo, but the thought of bringing up any of the topics felt... awkward. I was not ready to speak up just yet.
Theo, on the other hand, seed to be avoiding , and I had a feeling it was because of his body’s reaction to my scent.
So we both avoided each other until lunch, when we sat down at the table and awkwardly shuffled our food around.
"Theo—"
"Kyle—"
We both were in too much sync and called out to each other at the sa ti. It caused
to bite my lips as I looked at Theo, but then I sighed and allowed him to speak up.
He looked relieved to see that I was not angry at him and opened his mouth first.
"Kyle... about what happened... I won’t apologize or say that I am ashad. I told you that you are the only one for , right? That won’t ever change, so I have decided to be bolder."
The alpha told , and I suddenly felt speechless. I also no longer rembered what I wanted to say to him.
"I... huh... what?"
I stuttered, trying to catch my mind, but the situation kept on becoming worse and worse by the second.
It did not help that Theo looked into my eyes when he spoke, and my brain appreciated his face a little too much.
"Kyle, I know you might not feel the sa toward
as I do toward you, but can you at least give
a chance to court you? I want to leave my scent on you and warn others to stay away from you. I know that might be a tough thing to ask you, but—"
"Alright."
I replied before Theo could even finish speaking.
My words surprised even myself when they reached my ears, and Theo looked over with his puppy eyes.
"R-Really—! You don’t mind? Are you sure you don’t mind? Kyle, you cannot just say that and not an it."
Theo told ... well, more like repeated the sa thing a few tis to verify whether the aning of my words had changed or not.
Luckily for him, my words still ant the sa thing they did before.
My silence was his answer—not that he felt disappointed, because he was too busy handling all of his other feelings.
’Well, if Theo’s happy, then I guess I don’t need to speak up after all.’
Actually, that was not all. The idea of getting Theo’s scent on myself was not unappealing. He had a strong scent, and it made
feel safe as well, so it was truly not a bad deal...
Before I finished my thoughts of figuring out why I had such an easy ti accepting Theo, he ca close to
and wrapped his arms around my shoulders.
I felt him rub his face against my neck, and his scent got all over , and so of it even seeped into my body.
There was a sudden rise of heat in my body, and the sensation made my legs go weak.
Before I knew it, I had my whole body weight leaning against Theo, and he looked startled to have
in his arms.
"K-Kyle, are you alright? Are you hurt..."
He asked in an almost panicked voice as he tried to reach for . But there was nothing he could do about it anyway, because I was not hurt.
"I am fine. Your scent is just... too strong, so my legs lost their balance. I suggest you don’t do this to anyone else, or they might lose their mind. I have training to resist alpha pheromones, so I would be just fine."
Theo looked surprised at my words, and I just nodded back at him.
He truly needed to keep his pheromones in check because they were too much. And I was not saying this simply because I was jealous of anyone else getting Theo’s pheromones.
I was not that petty... surely...
"Kyle, there is no one else I want to use my pheromones on anyway, so you don’t have to worry. And also, do you want
to help you to your room? It would be much more comfortable than sitting on the floor."
Theo asked, but I was a little too lost in his scent to reply back to him. The soft and gentle scent was lulling
to safety and sleep.
"Do as you want to."
I told the alpha, and at that mont, I would have allowed him anything he wanted. There was no concept of boundaries in my mind, and I felt freer than I had ever felt before.
Theo gulped as he looked at , and I almost leaned forward to smack our lips together.
And then, the phone rang, causing the atmosphere to break, and Theo helped
sit back in the chair before he went to check the phone.
"I-It might be Emma’s. I will go and check it out. You should... finish your food in the anti."
Theo told
as he ran away, and I could only blink as I watched him leave before I went back to my food.
A chuckle escaped my lips as I considered what just happened.
"I... this is ridiculous. I don’t even know what ca over
to act like that. But I am sure of one thing now—Theo is special to . Not that I know what that ans just yet."
I sighed as I went back to playing with my food.
What happened before still circled in my mind, but I no longer allowed it to bother . Or rather, I could not bring myself to feel bothered by any of this.
Theo walked back into the room, and he looked calm. He gave
a happy look as he took his seat back.
"Emma called. She says we can return to the shop tomorrow and resu our work. Finally, it seems like things are going back to the way they were before."
Theo sounded happy, so I saw no reason to bring up any awkward talk as well. I participated in our small talk and finished our lunch.
And then, we went our separate ways once more. I decided to take a small walk to clear my mind, and Theo... did what he did in his free ti. Not that I know what he did.
