Lin Yang reflected on the recent fishing process, finding no issue with his technique, and certainly none with the fishing rod. As for the line snapping, it likely owed to the overwhelming strength of the fish.
Overall, the fish slipping away was neither a fault of the angler nor the equipnt, but because the fish was simply too large, exceeding what the current gear could handle!
Without a suitable vessel, there was no possibility of reeling it in.
Unless... his equipnt was a bit more formidable and his physical condition further improved. Together, there might be a chance he could land the great fish without the aid of a small boat.
To be honest, he hadn’t received any rewards in a long ti, and he wasn’t sure if he could unlock such rewards in the future.
As for the big fish that got away, Lin Yang wasn’t too worried. The hooks used in sea fishing are specially made to corrode away after a few days in seawater.
When the ti cos, the hook would detach on its own. The only potential risk for the fish would be if it swallowed the entire Wave Crawler lure.
But the big fish probably wasn’t that foolish. Who would keep a stiff foreign object in its mouth without spitting it out, or even worse, swallowing it?
With such a large fish escaping, the other three anglers on the boat couldn’t sit still anymore. They grabbed their fishing rods, ready to give it their all, hoping to hook the big fish once more.
On the surface, they admired Lin Yang’s strength, but in reality... they did indeed admire him. However, that didn’t an they thought their own skills were inferior to Lin Yang’s!

Lin Yang then returned to the cabin and, under the cover of his rod case, pretended to exchange a spare fishing reel from the manual.
The previous reel had been emptied of its line, hence it wasn’t suitable for imdiate use.
The afternoon passed quickly, and the elusive behemoth of a fish didn’t show again, not even nibbling on the bait, despite Lin Yang’s buff still being active.
In the following days, they continued to set sail for exploratory fishing every day, but never encountered such a large fish again.
Ti flew by, and on the seventh day after their arrival in Hawaii, the sea fishing contest was finally about to begin!
On the first day of the event, rather than starting the competition, there was a simple registration for the contestants and an opening ceremony.
During registration, Lin Yang also saw several other teams composed of compatriots. These teams had no strict requirents, with only four mbers needed to compete.
Just like Lin Yang’s team, the original mbers weren’t familiar with each other but had co to Hawaii to participate in the contest, and they ended up forming a team together by chance.
Of course, there were also teams that had been arranged well in advance to compete together.
Lin Yang didn’t recognize any of the other participants from his ho country.
After all, he usually traveled alone for fishing and rarely tead up with others, so he naturally knew fewer people.
The registration for the sea fishing contest was quite straightforward, needing only to be present and sign in. As for the opening ceremony, it was rather generic, with an introduction to the long history of the event, speeches by various officials, and appearances by sponsoring patrons, nothing out of the ordinary.
