"Alright, I’ll leave the peanuts here; maybe it will co back after we leave," Yue’er, being an adult, naturally felt a little disappointed, but she adjusted quickly.
Just as Lin Yang had finished consoling her, Guide Tata Luo, who had been silent and vigilant, tugged at Lin Yang’s clothes again.
Lin Yang was startled and turned to look, seeing Tata Luo muttering sothing unintelligible to the interpreter Sun Zheng.
After listening to Tata Luo, Sun Zheng quickly translated for Lin Yang and Yue’er.
Following the direction Sun Zheng pointed, Lin Yang and Yue’er looked downstream and soon spotted another animal about seventy to eighty ters away from their resting spot.
This animal was roughly a size larger than the pigs commonly seen in the countryside, weighing an estimated thirty to forty kilograms, with a round body, large head, and a prominently proportioned snout.
The most eye-catching feature was its small, squinty eyes and tiny ears, which were round in outline; at that mont, it was cutely looking up at Lin Yang and the others.
This was one of the target species for their trip to observe, the capybara.
Unlike the monkeys and parrots they had seen earlier, which were very wary and anxious upon discovering these ’unwelco visitors’ in the valley, this distant capybara seed different. Its body language and gaze conveyed a lack of obvious vigilance, as if it knew these people would not harm it, boldly making eye contact with them, and its round little ears occasionally twitching.
"Wow, a capybara, so cute, it’s irresistibly adorable!"
This foolishly charming state instantly captured Yue’er’s heart. The young girl quickly forgot about the parrot flying away and stared at the adorable creature in the distance, unable to look away.

After a brief introduction, Lin Yang took out a biscuit from his backpack, squatted down, and waved the food in his hand towards the distant capybara: "Lao lao lao lao!"
His act of beckoning the capybara to eat, like feeding pigs, imdiately amused the viewers.

But the effect of the bizarre call only went so far; sensing danger, the capybara stopped advancing, just stupidly and innocently watching the distant crowd, wondering what was going on in its little head.
"Wow, Brother Yang, it actually worked, but it still seems a bit afraid of us. Let try!"
Seeing the capybara move forward several steps, Yue’er got excited. She opened a bag of biscuits, stepped out of the group, and slowly squatted down by a relatively flat section of the riverbank.
"Hey, cutie, co have a biscuit~"
Whether it was because Yue’er appeared more harmless or the capybara slled the fragrance of her biscuits, after a few seconds of hesitation, it actually trotted over.
Yue’er didn’t hold any expectations; after all, this was a wild animal and had not been dosticated by humans.
But there was the magic: the creature, indeed very bold, ca looking for Yue’er.
As it approached, she sat down, not daring to make any sudden movents, and quietly waited for the capybara to co closer.
A minute later, the capybara reached her. Its slightly plump snout sniffed the scent of the biscuit and then began to eat it quite openly.
After eating a whole biscuit, the little capybara cleverly nudged Yue’er’s palm with its head, as if asking whether there was any more delicious food.
Yue’er, already fond of small animals, couldn’t withstand such a dumbfounding assault. She quickly took out another biscuit and continued feeding it.
While it was eating the biscuit she didn’t sit idle either; her fingertips brushed over its small head, continuously scratching and tickling it.
