He read the email several tis, and his excitent gradually faded into calmness.
Even though Lin Yang didn’t need fancy fishing rods or money, Dawa’s invitation was still a recognition of his strength and fa. Besides, the endorsent fee offered was very attractive, worth considering.
Plus, it was just to be a brand image ambassador, allowing them to use his likeness for so promotional materials, without demanding much of his effort. It would also boost his resu.
After considering everything, Lin Yang felt it could be a go.
...
Once he made up his mind, he replied to the email, expressing approval of their brand culture and suggesting to discuss the specifics in detail.
That very afternoon, after sending the email, Lin Yang received a call from Peng City from an unknown number.
Given his recent experiences, he universally ignored calls from unknown numbers from afar. The dia, among others, had been quite annoying, but this caller was extraordinarily persistent.
After he repeatedly declined the call, the caller kept ringing him, and finally, having no luck, decided to send a text ssage to reveal their identity.
The caller was the general manager of Daiva in Peng City, also the overall person in charge of Dawa’s operations in China. Previously, soone in China had registered the Dawa trademark, forcing the original Dawa to register as Daiva. Even after they reacquired their trademark, they kept the na Daiva.
After a brief phone conversation, the other party expressed sincere intentions, and they preliminarily settled on so shared goals. The manager also extended an invitation to Lin Yang to visit Dawa’s headquarters in Tokyo, Japan, to discuss the details of the endorsent contract.
It worked out perfectly since Lin Yang was planning a trip to Japan in a few days. Now, he could adjust the schedules a bit to manage both matters in one go!
In addition to tasting top-notch cuisine, he could finalize the endorsent deal—a double win.
A couple of days later, new information ca from Suzuki Jiro’s side. With the full support of the United States state-run seafood company, the Big Bluefin Tuna Suzuki Jiro had bid on was already transported to Japan through a green channel.
Suzuki Jiro gave him a tiline for the upcoming weekend, five days away. Lin Yang had already prepared his passport for the travel, and there was ample ti.
Yue’er kept her promise to Xia Xiaoxue, who obtained an invitation as an assistant, accompanied by a round-trip business class ticket.
On Friday afternoon at one-thirty, the three of them departed from Capital International Airport and flew directly to Tokyo, Japan.
The journey of over 2000 kiloters took about three and a half hours. As evening approached and the sky was still light, the plane landed, and Suzuki’s arranged pick-up was already waiting outside the terminal.
It must be said, Suzuki Jiro took Lin Yang’s trip very seriously.
Lin Yang was accommodated in a five-star business hotel suite with a view of the snowy top of Mount Fuji from the window.
Surrounded by all things Japanese, Lin Yang felt a mix of familiarity and novelty on his first visit.
After settling in and changing clothes, Yue’er, dragging Xia Xiaoxue, knocked on Lin Yang’s door.
"Let’s go out to have so fun in Tokyo since we’re here. I’ve heard the nightlife is really rich," they both seed to have a natural eagerness for going out.
"Nightlife? What are you planning to do?"
At the word, Lin Yang felt a touch of apprehension.
Nightclubs, so-called adult establishnts, or izakayas—he’d heard of such places, but to be frank, Lin Yang had no real interest in them.
"Geez, where’s your mind going? We’re just going shopping and trying out the local cuisine. I heard there’s an otaku street around here, maybe we can buy so ani souvenirs to bring back ho," Yue’er pouted, dissatisfied.
"Uhm, aren’t the real Japanese souvenirs all sorts of authentic DVDs?" Lin Yang teased, ntioning another word you’d rather not lay eyes on.
"Brother Yang, you’re dirty! Keep talking and I won’t take you with us!" blushed Yue’er, nudged by his words while Xia Xiaoxue giggled beside her.
In the end, Lin Yang couldn’t escape his fate of being dragged around by the two won as a human shopping assistant robot.
A tall, handso guy leading two slender beauties through the bustling streets of Tokyo naturally caught the gaze of the surrounding crowd.
Well, inadvertently he beca the brightest star on the street.
From six in the evening until ten at night, the three of them road around before reluctantly returning to their hotel.
After a hot bath and slipping into pajamas, drowsiness quickly set in, and Lin Yang soon drifted deep into sleep.
...
The next morning, shortly after breakfast, a car sent by Suzuki Jiro ca to pick up Lin Yang.
The ultimate Fish Tasting Event was scheduled for noon, but the warm-up and performances were starting in the morning. As a special guest and the star fish-catcher, Lin Yang had to make an appearance in the morning as well.
At half-past eight, the car took the three of them to Suzuki Jiro’s Japanese restaurant.
SushiZanmai
Stepping out of the car, Lin Yang saw the huge English sign and felt sowhat baffled. Wasn’t a Japanese restaurant supposed to have a Japanese na to be authentic?
"This na?" Lin Yang whispered to Yue’er, who was much better at English.
Yue’er explained, "It should translate to Zheni Sushi, I guess. ’Sushi’ obviously ans sushi. The part after should an praise or sothing precious. So this store’s owner is Suzuki Jiro, huh? I think I’ve seen it online back in China. It’s a chain and quite famous in Japan."
