Lin Yang naturally needed to be careful; the fish was not small, and even though he was catching it barehanded in the sea, if the fish suddenly beca violent without warning, it was still possible that he would lose control and let it escape.
However, Lin Yang’s worries were clearly unnecessary, for up until he brought the Big Grouper back to the surface, it hadn’t struggled at all; it was obviously dead.
"Wow, Master Lin is aweso! Not only is he amazing at fishing, but he’s also amazing at catching fish!"
When Lin Yang swam to the side of the boat with the Big Grouper, Wang ng had also just returned to the boat. Upon seeing the large fish in his hands, he imdiately exclaid.
"Heh heh, I got lucky, and this fish was pretty dumb. It just stayed there and hardly moved, and with one shot, I killed it. Co on, Brother Wang, help out with the fish."
Lin Yang was still in the sea when he said this, and handling the big fish wasn’t too difficult while wrapped in water. But as soon as he lifted the fish out of the water, he couldn’t help sinking downward.
There was no helping it; the fish in his hands was indeed large, weighing at least several dozen pounds. In the sea, he could only generate so buoyancy by moving his limbs, and without any external forces to rely on, it would be quite troubleso to get the big fish onto the boat by himself.
With soone on the boat to help, it would be much easier.
Of course, it wasn’t that troubleso; they just needed to get onto the boat first, then pull the fish up, but it would save more effort if others helped.
After spending the last two days together, the two were already acquainted and didn’t feel like outsiders to each other.
"No problem."
With one handing over to the other in midair, Wang ng hoisted the fish onto the fishing yacht, and Lin Yang swiftly climbed aboard.
At this ti, the guide and the captain were sorting through the catch on the boat, picking out what couldn’t be eaten and what didn’t et the fishing standards, throwing them back into the sea.
"Master Lin, the captain will first take these ingredients to the island to prepare the midday al. Do you want to go with them, or stay here and continue diving?"
After organizing everyone’s catch, the guide asked Lin Yang and the others.
"I’ll continue to stay here, the view underwater is quite nice." Lin Yang thought it over and chose to stay where he was.
"Sa here."
Perhaps uninterested in the activities on the island, Wang ng also chose to continue diving.
Li Xiaopeng and Yue’er, along with a few other tourists, were running low on energy and decided to head back to the island to rest.
Once everyone had made their decisions, the guide said to Lin Yang, "Okay, the fishing yacht will take them over and then co back very soon."
Watching the fishing yacht leave, Lin Yang dove into the water once again.
Soon it was noon, and Lin Yang and the other diver finished their activities and headed to the small island.
On the small island, there were a few small wooden cottages and several simple thatched pavilions; clearly, this place sotis sees visitors.
The white sandy beach and clear seawater indeed made it a great place to hang out. If one got tired from fishing, coming here for leisure was a good choice.
On the fishing yacht, they had compared their catches, and the result was that Lin Yang’s Big Grouper was the largest and most valuable.
They then discussed various ways to eat seafood, like stead, braised, barbecued, or even sashimi!
Chinese people are generally food enthusiasts and adept at cooking, and they soon decided on many cooking thods. Fortunately, the day’s catch was plentiful enough for everyone to experint with.
And Lin Yang’s Big Grouper was reserved by a few other tourists for different cooking thods; it seed everyone wanted to show off their culinary skills.
Unfortunately, upon arriving on the island, they discovered that the Big Grouper Lin Yang had caught was gone, and on the stove, a big pot contained an unidentifiable dish.
It bore a resemblance to Indians’ cuisine in appearance.
The aroma was indescribably strange.
"You’re here! Master Lin, your Big Grouper got stewed in one pot by the captain!
That guy wanted to treat everyone to their local specialty and said that cooking it whole would taste better. Considering we all had a big haul today, I let him do it,
especially since it’s the first ti that soone has caught such a big Grouper." The guide said sowhat apologetically to Lin Yang.
"No worries, trying the local specialty is also nice."
With the Big Grouper already stewed in a pot, what else could Lin Yang say? After all, eating is eating, and trying exotic food they had never tasted before was a nice option.
It’s just that the big pot of fish didn’t look appetizing at all.
There were several other stoves under the thatch, and the others quickly set to work on the remaining ingredients, eager to show their skills.
A little while later, a delicious lunch was ready.
First up was barbecue snails and stead lobsters prepared by the Chinese tourists, as well as sea urchin baked eggs. Yue’er cooked a spicy crab, while Lin Yang made a scallion-braised sea cucumber.
Li Xiaopeng prepared a roasted fish, but judging by its charred appearance, it was uncertain whether it was edible.
Then there were so local delicacies whipped up by the captain, which fortunately looked quite normal and appealing.
With the lunch prepared, everyone began to dig in.
The captain eagerly served everyone a bowl of fish soup, then waited with anticipation for their reactions.
