The play "Cinderella" began.

In the first act, the perforr of Cinderella, Jiang Moxi, was doing laundry by the river, while her sister Jiang Weiwei was beside her, directing Jiang Moxi to do this and that.

As soon as this scene unfolded, mocking laughter erupted from below the stage.

"Did Cinderella and her sister get their roles mixed up?"

"Could this be a parody version? Anyway, if I were the Prince, I would definitely marry the beautiful sister and not choose this monstrosity."

Fu Youhan was sitting right in the middle of the first row, lightly massaging his temples.

He had been on a business trip these past few days and had not been sleeping well.

Originally, he did not want to co to such a boring evening event, but when the president of First University, Tan Zhiyi, called to invite him, he specifically ntioned: "Your niece is also participating in this evening’s performance."

Niece?

Fu Youhan imdiately rembered the incident where Jiang Moxi and Ling Ye had caused a brawl at First University and were taken to the police station, and he had to bail them out. Tan Zhiyi even ca to apologize personally, with his words expressing regrets to him and his niece.

Later, Fu Youhan learned that Tan Zhiyi had asked the chief of police for information and found out that Jiang Moxi was his niece, and that Fu Youhan had already made a few trips to the police station for her.

So the niece that Tan Zhiyi ntioned earlier, was he referring to Jiang Moxi?

But in fact, his relationship with Jiang Moxi had almost broken down.

Because of his business trip, he hadn’t returned to Tianqin Bay for so ti.

And even more decisively, according to Ye Chen, she had found a manager and requested to leave the ninth-floor’s VIP room.

Jiang Moxi was so intent on setting boundaries; he shouldn’t get involved in this ss anymore.

But in the end, Fu Youhan didn’t understand why he had agreed to Tan Zhiyi’s invitation.

By the ti he fully ca to his senses, he was already seated in the VIP area.

And now, listening to the mockery around him, he felt no inclination to lift his head to look at the woman on stage.

Hmm, her appearance was still consistently... ugly!

But his gaze just could not leave her.

On the other hand, the play had already moved on to the second act.

The King invited all the young ladies to attend the ball, and the Prince would select a Princess that evening.

Jiang Weiwei was getting dressed up, and Jiang Moxi also wanted to go, but Jiang Weiwei ruthlessly mocked her.

Not only was Jiang Weiwei on stage ridiculing Jiang Moxi for not being qualified to attend the ball, but the audience below was also criticizing her rcilessly.

"She’s so ugly, she shouldn’t go and terrorize the Prince."

"The Prince would probably be frightened enough to escape into outer space on a rocket overnight!"

"Sister, hurry up and kill her off, don’t let her show up at the ball!"

Amidst the jeering, Jiang Guosheng and Yu Man felt utterly humiliated even though they were sitting in a corner.

Yu Man was frustratedly saying, "How great it would have been if Weiwei played this role! Why did she have to go out and disgrace herself?"

Although Jiang Guosheng didn’t openly criticize Jiang Moxi at the public event, he too was sighing constantly.

Amidst such circumstances, the play moved on to the third act.

Jiang Moxi watched Jiang Weiwei get dressed up beautifully and head to the castle, then she squatted on the ground and wept, covering her face.

At this mont, there were flashes of lightning and thunder in the sky, and rain began pouring down right above Jiang Moxi’s head.

According to the script, Jiang Moxi should be questioning the heavens at this point, asking why they are so unjust.

But the mont Jiang Moxi looked up, she felt that sothing was off about the rainwater and quickly covered her face.

The next second, Lai Xueer, who played the Elf, made her appearance.

Her newfound beauty, thanks to Jiang Weiwei’s makeup artist, also evoked countless gasps of amazent.

"Even the Elf looks dozens of tis better than Cinderella. If the Prince isn’t blind, he shouldn’t marry Cinderella!"

"If the Elf doesn’t want to kill the Prince, she should just beat Cinderella to death and attend the ball herself!"

Lai Xueer was sowhat floating on air from the complints, but when she turned around, she saw Jiang Moxi actually covering her face.

Like this, the makeup removal is not complete!

But thankfully, Lai Xueer had made other plans beforehand.

After the rain had stopped, she approached with feigned sympathy, "Poor girl, look how the rain has drenched you. Let help you."

After speaking, she took out a makeup remover wipe and started wiping Jiang Moxi’s face.

Jiang Moxi was initially off guard because the makeup remover stung her eyes, so she kept them shut.

Not until she felt Lai Xueer persistently wiping her eyes with a wipe, wet...

She imdiately opened her eyes, and seized Lai Xueer’s hand.

Having confird that the wet wipe in Lai Xueer’s hand had removed most of her makeup, Jiang Moxi’s gaze instantly turned cold.

But Lai Xueer showed not the slightest fear, even wearing a triumphant smile: "Miss, I just wanted to give you a hand, let go now."

With Jiang Moxi’s makeup mostly removed by her, she didn’t believe Jiang Moxi would dare to continue the performance with her makeup in such a ss.

Even if she dared, she would be severely criticized by the school leaders afterward.

Especially in front of so many Yan City leaders and top-tier wealthy elite present today, such a huge mistake would certainly not go without punishnt.

Maybe in the end, Jiang Moxi would even be expelled!

Of course, Jiang Moxi also has a second option, which is to completely remove this heavy makeup and show her true face.

But her true face is certainly uglier, making the school leaders feel even more embarrassed, and it’s likely she still wouldn’t escape being expelled.

So, up to this mont, Lai Xueer felt she had thoroughly won.

Jiang Weiwei, who was backstage waiting to continue the performance, also saw the ruined state of Jiang Moxi’s makeup and was smiling smugly.

She had deliberately reminded Jiang Moxi that Fu Youhan was also present today, just to destroy Jiang Moxi’s last hope.

To let Jiang Moxi realize that with her true face, even soone like Fu Youhan, with a disability, would not fancy her!

Not sure if her gaze was too obvious, but Jiang Moxi’s eyes suddenly landed on her, followed by a cold curl of her lips...

Jiang Weiwei suddenly had a bad premonition.

But she comforted herself, thinking it must be because Jiang Moxi’s smile looked eerie under the smudged makeup, that made her feel uneasy.

But Jiang Moxi soon retracted her gaze and directly snatched the makeup remover wipe from Lai Xueer’s hand, "I’ll wipe it myself!"

So they added a rain scene to wash away her face’s heavy makeup, intending to show everyone what beauty and ugliness are?

If that’s the case, then she would just play along!

Lai Xueer didn’t expect Jiang Moxi to be so proactive about removing her makeup, but this saved her the trouble of doing it herself.

She simply stood by, waiting for Jiang Moxi to completely reveal her ugly true face.

But as Jiang Moxi’s makeup was mostly removed, Lai Xueer’s smug expression gradually turned into panic.

Similarly, cracks began to form in the smile on Jiang Weiwei’s face.

Even the audience below the stage, who had been mocking Jiang Moxi, were montarily at a loss for words.

Because as the heavy makeup ca off, Jiang Moxi’s skin was fairer than snow, her eyebrows and eyes strikingly exquisite, lips red and teeth white, her face so beautiful it took one’s breath away...
