Feng Family’s Butler brought Fu Youhan to see Jiang Moxi, who was sitting in Old Master Feng’s rocking chair in the Feng Residence courtyard, rocking and feeding the fish in the pond.

"Miss Xi, Mr. Fu said he has an urgent matter to see you," the butler reminded.

Jiang Moxi turned around to see Fu Youhan and her eyes registered a hint of surprise: "Why are you here?"

Recently at the Feng residence, their interactions had been secretive. Although Fu Youhan slightly resented this, he was also eager for an official acknowledgnt, but due to Old Master Feng’s lack of support, and the formidable presence of Feng Ming and Feng Yu, he had to endure it until he could visit Jiang Moxi nightly.

It was the first ti in this period that he ca to visit Jiang Moxi so overtly and during broad daylight.

Upon seeing Jiang Moxi, Fu Youhan imdiately took her hand, his gaze deep and piercing.

The butler frowned at Fu Youhan’s actions.

"Go and brew a pot of white tea for , and bring so cookies too," Jiang Moxi suddenly instructed.

The butler understood that Jiang Moxi intended to send him away.

But as a servant, he couldn’t really say anything.

"Miss Xi, please wait a mont." The butler left.

Once the butler had left, Fu Youhan stretched out his hand and pulled her into his embrace.

He still carried a strong scent of tobacco, which enveloped Jiang Moxi the mont he hugged her.

Moreover, the man buried his face in the nape of her neck, his voice slightly hoarse: "Xixi, I’m sorry..."

The man’s mood was very low, carrying a certain degree of unease, revealed through the scent of tobacco and his current voice.

But Jiang Moxi was a bit puzzled: "What’s wrong? What have you done to be sorry for?"

"Without , Fu Wangning wouldn’t have targeted you with that competition. Xixi, rest assured, I will handle these matters for you, you don’t need to bother with her nonsensical harassnt."

But after Fu Youhan finished speaking, Jiang Moxi suddenly pushed him away: "You shouldn’t intervene in this matter."

"Why?" Fu Youhan’s deep eyes were filled with confusion.

"I will handle this matter myself," Jiang Moxi said.

Fu Youhan seed slightly annoyed: "But she clearly wants to do more than just drive you out of Chinese dicine College, she wants to ruin your reputation."

Jiang Moxi didn’t seem to like studying Chinese dicine very much; these days, Fu Youhan hadn’t seen her reading any related books.

So her entry into Chinese dicine College seed more like she was being forced by Old Master Feng, and she seed very troubled by it.

If Fu Wangning had proposed the competition rely to have Jiang Moxi expelled from the college, Fu Youhan wouldn’t have been so anxious.

But after seeing the dialogue between them when Jiang Moxi agreed to the competition, Fu Youhan felt that Fu Wangning’s intentions definitely went beyond that.

Therefore, Fu Youhan decided he must stop this competition no matter what!

However, he didn’t expect Jiang Moxi to retort, "How do you know that this competition will definitely end with being disgraced?"

After speaking, Jiang Moxi continued feeding the fish in the pond.

"Xixi, I know you are quite interested in many things, and you are smart enough to learn these things. But in terms of Chinese dicine, it covers a lot, and it requires certain accumulation."

"Fu Wangning’s achievents today are because from the ti she started reading, Old Man Fu forced her to read such books, and in her early teens Old Man Fu sent her to study with several veteran practitioners of Chinese dicine..."

Fu Youhan also told her about Fu Wangning’s hardships in studying Chinese dicine, with the intent of persuading Jiang Moxi to give up the competition quickly.

Jiang Moxi did not respond, continuing to feed the fish, uncertain whether she was listening or not.

At this mont, a cheerful voice suddenly ca from behind the two, "Your little sister may not necessarily be a match for my granddaughter."

The two turned around and saw Old Master Feng leaning on his cane, touching his now white-bearded chin, with a cheerful expression on his face.

Beside him stood Fu Weidong and Fu Yinghuai.

Fu Yinghuai was holding a small fruit basket and so beautifully packaged small pastries.

Seeing Jiang Moxi turning around, a naive smile appeared on Fu Yinghuai’s handso face, which seed sowhat out of place for him.

"Miss Xi, long ti no see. I just passed by the pastry shop, not sure what you like, so I packed a variety of small pastries to bring over."

The mont Fu Youhan saw Fu Yinghuai’s smile, he felt that this guy was really liking his Xixi, and his actions were entirely that of a male courting a female.

Seeing that Jiang Moxi couldn’t refuse them, she could only greet them and invite them to enjoy so tea together in the courtyard; Fu Youhan’s face looked as gloomy as a cloud-covered sky.

Thus, Fu Weidong’s smile brightened a bit as he said, "Yinghuai saw the news just released online and was very worried about Xiao Xi, so he dragged here with him."

Fu Weidong smiled openly, clearly intending to infuriate Fu Youhan.

"It’s fine, our Xixi can handle it well. Don’t worry about these unnecessary concerns, let’s all sit down and have a cup of tea."

Old Master Feng smiled cheerfully, thinking how none of the Fu family’s young talents even started acting yet, they all hurried over to the Feng family, feeling quite proud inside.

The ever-enthusiastic Fu Weidong then suggested, "How about, Xiao Xi, you and Yinghuai add each other on WeChat? That way you two can talk directly, so this old man won’t have to pass ssages for you."

Fu Yinghuai was slightly embarrassed.

However, he genuinely liked Jiang Moxi and wanted to interact more with her.

Thus, following Fu Weidong’s suggestion, he asked Jiang Moxi, "Is that okay?"

Just as Jiang Moxi was about to respond, Fu Youhan suddenly interjected, "It’s not okay. I disagree."

This remark surprised Fu Yinghuai a bit, and Fu Weidong slightly narrowed his eyes.

Old Master Feng remained calm, while Jiang Moxi quietly tugged at Fu Youhan’s sleeve under the table, signaling him not to go too far.

But Fu Youhan clasped Jiang Moxi’s hand instead, lightly scratching her palm as a form of subtle punishnt.

Between their interactions, Fu Weidong suddenly sneered and questioned: "And what right do you have to disagree?"

"Simply because I am Xixi’s legally wedded husband."

As if to prove he wasn’t lying, Fu Youhan even casually pulled out two marriage certificates.

Fu Yinghuai glanced at the two certificates, then looked at Jiang Moxi, lips pursed, not sure what to say.

Old Master Feng stayed silent throughout, acting as an outsider.

Fu Weidong, however, reached out to flip through one of the marriage certificates before throwing it back to Fu Youhan: "Is tying a woman down with a marriage certificate the way Fu Shaoquan taught you?"

Fu Youhan awkwardly smiled, "He didn’t teach that, but I think this approach must be inherited from the paternal line."

Fu Weidong, squinting, studied the face so similar to his when he was young, feeling like there was more to Fu Youhan’s words.

But at the mont, to defend his nephew’s honor, Fu Weidong ignored these fleeting thoughts, directly stating:

"Even if mistakes are made, there are chances to correct them. Besides, Xiao Xi is still so young and outstanding, I think she can rectify her mistakes anyti and choose a better person to spend the rest of her life with."

Fu Yinghuai, whether to fulfill Fu Weidong’s hopes or for his own private desires, actually echoed the sentint.

"Yes, Miss Xi is young and outstanding, even during her ongoing marriage, I am willing to wait for her to choose."
