Amon and Alia arrived in the gas section, finally.
He turned back to her and gave her a wide smile.
"Trust , after this day, you will get so addicted to gas that you won't be able to let go of th-"
He wasn't able to complete his sentence as he was caught off guard by sothing.
Her cheeks were still red even though he had let go of her grip.
She was also averting her gaze, not eting his eyes.
Intrigued, he leaned closer.
"Did sothing happen?" He asked, but Alia quickly turned away her face.
"N-nothing."
Amon was taken aback by her quick response. What had gotten into her?
She wasn't this shy when he had held her hand before.
Did sothing else happen?
Not letting it go, he leaned even closer to et her gaze and check what was happening.
"What happene-"
"No no no!" Alia quickly turned him away, putting her hands on Amon's back as she tried to push him away.
"Go get the tickets quickly, I'm totally fine."
Amon wasn't able to articulate any response to her words.
Why was she so shy all of a sudden?
Though he was now even curious to see what happened, he chose to let it go.
"Alright." He nodded, giving her a smile before heading over to the counter.
Alia watched his faded back go before releasing an intense sigh.
Although she was much composed now as compared to when they were walking in the hallway, the incident still replayed in her mind.
That shake..
One straw. The red lipstick marks on the sa spot after she drank it...
Heat rose to her cheeks and ears again as Alia quickly shook her head, trying to clear her thoughts.
She felt like she was as red as a tomato to others now.
Just how many tis had Amon caught her off guard today and broken her composure?
It was a little frustrating, that he could make her fumble so easily.
But she couldn't deny that she enjoyed it more.
It brought a weird warmth to her heart and body when she was taken off guard. As if her heart would suddenly burst at that mont.
Things like these, shyness and embarrassnt were new to her, especially when she never felt such things around Arthur and Athena.
For the students, she was always seen as the indifferent, down to earth beauty of the school. She wasn't cold or rude to them or anything. That was too cliche in her opinion.
It was more that because of her beauty, so many people approached her with ulterior motives along with their school matters that she had grown tired of rejecting them.
They were just too much. Which was why she just chose to maintain a strict and down-to- earth front.
A clear reminder to them to not even try doing it.
And it worked on everyone. Almost everyone at least.
The guy who had just left seed to be immune to such things. Though she didn't mind or was disturbed by it.
It was already clear to them for the first eting that Amon, from the get go, wasn't the type to approach her with ulterior motives.
Rather, their personalities quite matched, both of them wanting to just get straight to the point with others and loving their family.
A warm and gentle blush appeared on her face.
'Of course, you are like that.'
Back to the case in point, Amon was a completely different matter.
Though even with his teasing attempts at doing such advances, Alia for so reason didn't mind them.
They were the things that made her shy and embarrassed after all. He just left her completely speechless.
And it wasn't in a bad manner as well. Alia kind of..
Liked it. Enjoyed it.
It wasn't just shyness or embarrassnt either. The amount of tis she had laughed and chuckled today easily surpassed the total amount she had laughed in this previous month.
Amon was quite funny to be honest. His comnts and sotis stupid choices or jokes at the wrong tis made her break up.
It was refreshing and enjoyable.
Asides from even being funny, Alia had to admit....
He was quite handso and cute. It was surprising for her cause being quite well knowledgeable in such stuff, she was the first to notice the high jump in his beauty.
He had grown taller, more lean and even developed his body.
Not to ntion his facial features. They had turned sharper and clearer.
Rembering such minor details, Alia felt a weird warmth rise up in her chest as she felt like dying from embarrassnt.
It felt like she was a creep.
She tried to control not turning red again.
But back to the point, right now, Amon was quite handso, yes.
She hadn't seen much first years since she was a third year but..
If she had to rank him out of all of the people she had seen, he was quite easily the first.
Not to ntion...
A faint blush crept up on Alia's face.
He was pretty cool as well.
She had seen his fights. That focus and fighting style in his fights added additional bonuses to
his personality.
At certain tis, she even saw him turn into this ruthless, cold person that had no shred of rcy in his mind for his opponents.
It was a complete contrast to how she knew him outside the field, a caring and funny person.
Nevertheless...
Unknowingly, Alia's cheeks turned a little red and her blush turned deeper.
She liked him a little, if she had to be honest.
A warmth spread in her chest, dwarfing out the cold completely for her.
It wouldn't be a lie if Alia said that he was probably the person she cared the most right
now, like a family.
She didn't know how it developed like this from just simple acquaintances and friends but...
Amon held a special space in her heart.
Especially since he was there for her in those tis when she feared she might break apart.
When she felt like she would be crushed by the world's expectations and burdens after her
family's disappearance, he appeared and hugged her to his chest.
Just like Amon didn't know about her, it was the sa for her as well.
She thought she was alone but Amon was a person going through the sa ti as her.
It was a simple tender hug from him at that ti but for Alia it had been more than it ever
could.
It brought so kind of relief to her that she wasn't alone here.
That was why she hoped to be there for him when the ti ca as well.
That she could take care of him as well when he was burdened or feeling down.
Alia felt her heart clench with warmth. It was quite overwhelming.
Not only that, but Alia loved spending ti with him.
She had realized it today but whenever he ca to her office or they had a walk or sothing...
Talking with him and joking with him felt quite refreshing and comfortable.
It made her feel at ease and it brought down the burdens that she carried around for the day.
It was the sa for today's outing as well.
A mory replayed in her mind as she thought about the outing.
That "date" joke they had.
Alia thought that it was just a joke from Arthur but...
She fiddled with her fingers unknowingly.
Since they had done so much...
Maybe it was a date? Alia quickly shook her head as she tried to keep herself from not lting at the spot again.
Suddenly, she saw Amon coming from the distance, a pile of tickets in his hand.
Coming over, Alia gave him a smile, not knowing how hot she was still feeling. "Glad you are back." She smiled, but Amon didn't reply to her as he stared at her with a blank
stare.
Suddenly, his hand rose and ca straight to her forehead, pressing against it as the cold from his fingers seeped into her warm skin like a moth to a fla.
Alia was suddenly taken aback by his action, left speechless.
But even then, she made no effort to step back and remove herself from his hand.
Amon had an inquisitive gaze in his eyes as he kept her hand on her forehead.
Then, he leaned closer.
"You are hot but....."
Alia's eyes suddenly widened at his line.
You are hot.
Alia felt as if she was going to lt right then and there.
What was Amon saying?
But it was only then that she realized after he completed the sentence.
"You don't look like you have a fever."
'Oh.' Finally, it made sense to her.
But why did it suddenly feel a little frustrating, as if a cold bucket of water had been poured
over her warmth.
"You good?" He asked her, leaning even closer, their faces re inches from each other as his
black eyes stared deep into her gold ones.
Alia instantly reddened at the intensity of his black eyes.
There were people watching!
"Yeah, I'm completely fine, don't worry about it." She quickly shook her head with closed
eyes, trying to not open them to his gaze again.
Nodding with a smile, Amon turned back up.
"Welp, I got the pile of tickets so let's go and I'll show you how to play all of these gas."
He grabbed her floral gloved-hand and pulled her.
Alia showed no resistance though, she was quite used to it by his sudden hand-grabbing.
Rather....
A playful blush appeared on her face as Alia followed him along.
And in the next mont, her hand squird and grabbed his hand properly, completing their
lock.
A laugh escaped out of her lips as an easing warm feeling crept up in her body.
It wasn't like the previous shy or embarrassnt feeling.
It was one of joy and fun as she felt warm being in his company.
