Beth released Fraser’s hand when they reached the throne room. She gave him a pat on the back and left to find her seat at the front. Fraser was all on his own to do as they practiced. She wanted nothing to go wrong with Fraser’s big day.

Beth wasn’t against sitting next to Margaret so she could see what the old woman would be up to.

Beth walked with grace and greeted so of the people from the towns or villages who addressed her as princess. Beth missed hearing the title. She quickly found her seat at the front next to Margaret who was already seated.

"Hello Lady Margaret," Beth said as she sat down. A lot of eyes were watching their every move so she put on a show as always.

"Lady Beth," Margaret replied, smiling at Beth before looking elsewhere.

They both knew the people should never know about clashes in the castle.

Margaret wanted nothing more than to hit Fraser over the head for spreading word about Alia working with the North to kill her father. He had not done a good job at hiding that it was he who started this nonsense.

Alia was in the north starting her new life and the sa was for Fraser here but yet, one of them was stuck on ddling in the life of the other.

Margaret was quick to send people out to talk and get rid of the ridiculous talk about Alia. The last thing she wanted was for Alia to hear about this.

"Where is Fraser’s father? I see all the other Adams side of his family," Margaret said though she knew why he was not here. She had a pleasant conversation with Beth’s soon-to-be forr husband. It was revenge for Beth tricking her into sending a letter to Alia. There was a twist to her plans that Beth was not aware of yet.

"Sothing important ca up. You should focus on who is here. It’s a sha you could not attend Alia’s coronation. She has no family in the north to share her big day with her. You have no idea how she is doing. How the King is treating her. n like Killian tend to be rough. I hope she is doing well," Beth said to get under Margaret’s skin.

Beth also wanted Margaret to respond that Alia was doing well. It would confirm that Margaret was sending letters to the north.

"Hmm," Margaret replied. "You are still like a child. You have much to learn girl."

Beth continued to smile through her anger. She was not a child. "Conversations about Anne’s death have been coming back up. You must be scared," Beth whispered.

No one could change her mind that Margaret did not have sothing to do with Anne’s death or at least know the truth behind it. If Beth could only find sothing to point to Margaret, it would spread like fire because of the people’s love for Anne.

"You shouldn’t speak about that so much. You might find yourself without a tongue," Margaret warned.

"Your words only prove to right that there is sothing you are involved in. Yet again, I feel bad for Alia. She keeps losing so much family. Enough about that for now, Fraser has entered," Beth said, looking back to see Fraser walking up to where the priests stood.

Fraser walked with the aura of a King looming around him. He greeted the people just as Beth told him to and his smile was warm and inviting for the people to be eager to speak with him. He did well to get rid of the doubts from the people present.

Margaret resisted the urge to roll her eyes at the show Fraser and his mother were putting on. Neither of them cared about the people. They were just in love with the titles and sitting on the throne. She could see how much Alia cared for the people and that was why she so desperately wanted to be Queen. Fraser would ruin the Blackwell kingdom. Margaret already pictured him as worse than Richard.

"It is my honor to be standing before another young man who will have the weight of this kingdom on his shoulders. I must thank the Gods for allowing to welco three young n as Blackwell Kings. Fraser Blackwell," the priests announced Fraser’s new na.

Beth had solved the issue of those who had sothing against soone who was not a Blackwell taking the Blackwell throne. Now that she was on her way to separating from her husband, she would also have back the Blackwell na. Her na would be changed in the snap of a finger the mont she ended her marriage.

Below the throne, the priests poured wine for Fraser to drink as it was a tradition in the Blackwell kingdom. It was poured into a cup made of gold which was kept for each ti a new King would sit on the throne.

Fraser blocked out what the priest was saying and eyed the crown that sat to the side waiting to be placed on his head. The jewels placed around the crown sparkled in his eyes. They were beautiful, but he wanted more to be added.

"Your Highness," the priest whispered to Fraser who didn’t appear to be paying attention. "The cup," he held out the cup for Fraser to take a sip of the wine. The priest had his own cup made of silver to drink from. It would bind the throne and the temple together.

Fraser took the cup, waiting for this foolish part to be over along with the priest’s speech about the kingdom, King, and other nonsense. Fraser took a long sip of the wine, but in the midst of gulping down the wine, his throat started to burn.

Fraser dropped the cup and grabbed his throat. He spat out the wine that was left in his mouth as there was sothing wrong with it.

"Fraser!" Beth yelled, standing up from her seat to run to Fraser who collapsed onto the floor.

"He has been poisoned!" Soone yelled from the crowd.

Panic, confusion, gasps, and fear filled the throne room as everyone tried to understand what was happening to the man ant to be the new king. Was he dying before he was officially nad King?

"Fraser. Fraser, my son," Beth stooped down beside Fraser. Her heart ached from the sight of him in pain and grabbing his throat. "What is wrong? Get a doctor here now!" Beth yelled down to the crowd. Her eyes t with Margaret who was not the slightest bit concerned for Fraser. She wouldn’t put it past Margaret to be the person behind this.

"Out of the way!" Cedric ordered everyone who was circling around his grandson. "Take him to a room to be treated," he ordered the guards. "Get up Beth."

On other days, Beth would never want to accept Cedric’s help, but Fraser was her main priority now. She needed Fraser away from the eyes in the room.

Beth stood up to allow the guards to lift Fraser and take him sowhere to be looked at by a doctor.

"No one leaves the castle," she ordered the remaining guards. She would find the culprit who had to be in the crowd now.
