Fraser stood up from his seat, fixing his clothes to be presentable when he saw Killian finally arrive at where he and Alia would be wed. Fraser eyed Killian’s attire and found it amusing how he looked much better than the groom. No matter what his mother said, he was right to yell at the tailors to get them to make his clothes just as he liked.
"King Killian-"
"Not right now," Killian stopped Fraser before he beca annoyed on his wedding day. He didn’t need to hear congratulations from Fraser and he could predict sothing stupid was about to be said.
Fraser glared at the back of Killian as the man walked past him but then he felt soone roughly brush into him. Fraser was ready to tell the person to watch where they were going but the words didn’t co out when he realized that the man who was always with Killian did it.
Alastor stared down at the pathetic choice for a future king. "You should mind your eyes king," he taunted Fraser. He didn’t take too kindly to the look Fraser gave Killian behind his back.
’Who the hell does he think he is?’ Fraser thought while he sat back down. He should have been more involved in the wedding so all types of stranglers wouldn’t be invited.
"Did sothing happen between you and the king of the north?" Beth asked as she sat down beside Fraser. It was a risk to leave him all alone but she was more needed than she expected with getting Alia dressed.
Fraser did not want to tell his mother how Killian ignored him and the dog beside Killian threatened him. She would only tell him to smile and forget about it. "I hope this marriage fails," he whispered. If only he could see when Alia would find out how much of a monster her new husband is. ’I should have told them to bring back the tradition of standing outside the room for the couple’s first night.’
On the other hand, Killian smiled after hearing what Fraser said. All the more reason why he had nothing to hear from Fraser. He could hardly wait for the day he would get to kill Fraser. It would make up for not getting to kill Richard.
"Make sure nothing goes wrong," Killian ordered Alastor.
Alastor left Killian’s side to make sure they were not getting any unwanted visits from enemies on their side. Right as Alastor was leaving, Margaret, Gina, and Edith ca to take their positions as the wedding was finally starting.
"Ever thought this day would co?" Alia asked Cyrus once more. She needed to say sothing to calm her nerves. From where she stood, she could see everyone in attendance and Killian waiting for her at the makeshift altar.
"No," Cyrus honestly replied. "I expected you to poison the man you would have to marry. Regardless of what I think of him, I hope that you will be happy with this marriage."
After witnessing Alia and Killian interact with each other, Cyrus let he guard down around Killian it beca clear with each interaction that Killian did not intend to hurt Alia.
"Thank you. Well, it is starting," Alia took a deep breath. There was no going back after this point unless she ran away now but that was not what she would do. The music started to play signaling her ti to start walking toward the altar.
Alia kept her eyes straight ahead, not looking at any of the guests present. Many of the people here were strangers in her eyes as she rarely saw them and she could never reach out to them for a helping hand. She was sowhat glad many of her relatives had not bothered to show up since she would not have to pretend she was happy to see them here. She had already spoken to the people she cared for.
Alia reached the altar slower than she liked but she was reminded of a pace she needed to keep and her grandmother would scold her if she walked too fast.
Alia looked to her right at Killian who was dressed up in fancy clothes for the first ti. He always walked around either ready for a fight or to lay around but now he looked like a king. A handso one at that.
"You look beautiful princess," Killian complinted her beauty. The dressmaker had done a fine job at creating the dress to suit Alia after she was warned.
"Don’t I always look beautiful?" Alia joked.
The sides of Killian’s lips curled and he found himself unable to argue with her there. "You do but there is sothing exceptional about you today."
"I have a feeling you are trying to say I look better as your wife," Alia whispered, side-eyeing Killian. She considered it a good thing their backs were turned to the crowd or everyone would be able to see they were having a conversation at this serious mont.
"Ladies and gentlen of the Blackwell kingdom and the north," the priest spoke out loud.
Alia drowned out the words of the man standing before her and Killian. She couldn’t place whether or not Killian had prepared a real priest for this wedding. Considering the north did not have priests or temples, she half expected there wouldn’t be a priest present. "Killian, is this man really a priest?" She asked in a whisper, looking at him only to find him smiling.
"It would be insulting for to be wed by a priest," Killian replied.
Alia looked back at the man before them and now she realized there was a redness in his eyes that quickly disappeared. Just like Killian this "priest" smiled. She now realized that she was correct in thinking a demon wouldn’t have a real priest here. The person standing before them was a demon acting as a priest.
"A demon is wedding us. Surely this marriage won’t fail," Alia sarcastically spoke for only the two n to hear. Still, she enjoyed that without her having to do anything, the tradition for weddings in the Blackwell kingdom was broken sohow. The Blackwells would faint if they knew they were viewing a demon as a priest.
