"I’m surprised no one has randomly popped up to get a good look at and warn you about this marriage. Not even the man you spoke of," said Alia.
It had been quite a long ti since she and Killian spoke to his people at the gates. She had been preparing herself for people who had access inside the gates and expected the man Killian was warning her about would have shown up by now or soone who was under him. After an hour-long tour, no one had co to them. Alia did not see anyone besides the guards and servants roaming the castle.
"They must know that I am here by now right? Gossip travels fast. Are they not coming to show that they have no interest in as their queen? Back ho, the n in court would have run to my father to complain about the decision he made. It must be because they know they can’t convince you to change your mind?"
Killian wasn’t bothered by what others were doing like Alia was. Wherever the hell they were they could stay there because their presence ant he would be annoyed. However, he could tell she wanted to get the introductions over with. "They must know by now but don’t care to co yet. They will co on their own terms. Do not make them think you are excited to et them," he warned her.
"I am not. I only want to see the people I should watch out for and assess the relationships in the castle. I want to see who is on whose side or who dislikes who. I would rather them show up now instead of randomly popping up when I least expect it. What are we supposed to do now?" Alia looked to Killian.
She was not crowned queen yet so she could not go poking her nose around in their docunts yet to know more about the north. She could not browse through court docunts or do anything important yet.
Alia was so eager to start ruling and know more about demons that she wouldn’t mind if the wedding would be tomorrow. She never thought deeply about what her wedding would look like so she wasn’t that excited to plan one and honestly wouldn’t care if soone else wanted to plan the whole thing and leave her out of it.
"Co. I have sothing that might interest you," Killian took her hand and led her in another direction.
Alia silently followed behind Killian taking in the area of the castle they entered because they had not co here when he was giving her a tour. ’What could be this way?’ She wondered.
Alia’s eyes widened when they entered an open area with a throne in the middle. Instead of the throne being in a room like back at ho, it was in an exposed area seated on top of stairs to look down at the people who would be present.
"This is what you have desired more than anything right? I was saving it for last in case you needed to be cheered up. Go on to take a closer look at it," Killian released her hand to allow her to go up to the throne alone.
"There is only one throne so it belongs to you, the king. Do you want to go sit in your seat?" Alia replied, not feeling excited as she should be at this mont. It was nice for Killian to try and cheer her up but this throne did not belong to her. After they are married another throne would need to be added for the queen.
"I have never sat on the throne before. Don’t look so surprised," Killian stated after Alia looked like she did not believe his words. "I never felt the need to sit on the throne. Quite frankly, I rarely attend all of the etings here and let Alastor take my place. Sitting on a throne is sothing you dread of so you can have it."
"Another one can be made when we get married. My dreams in the past had becoming queen without getting married so I never imagined soone sitting beside but now that has all changed I don’t want to be sitting on a throne without my husband so I would like if another throne is made for . You’re going to stop using Alastor so much and sit here during etings. I’m surprised he has not tried killing you," Alia muttered.
"He tried when we first t but after failing he gave up and pledged his loyalty to . My system of not coming here during etings has worked for many years. What is in it for to co here with you? You only want to join you since you think others would talk of how you are sitting on the throne when the king is not present," Killian said.
"That is not true. It is partially true," Alia corrected herself since she was clearly lying. "I want us to be a proper king and queen sitting on the throne. A throne might seem useless to you but it is very important to . It would make very happy."
She smiled and walked backward away from him to take a look at the throne. It was much larger compared to the one her father sat on. There were horns like the other places in the castle but they did not bother her. Alia was starting to like how intimidating the castle was.
"When will this list of things to make you happy end? It is only fair that I start my own list. You wish to keep your future husband happy right?" Killian asked as he followed Alia up to the throne.
"As long as he behaves well," Alia chuckled.
"Seems like you want a puppy."
"You are the one who said you beco my weapon if I beco your wife. That ans I control you like a pet doesn’t it? I wonder if you will remain true to your words and anyone I tell you to attack, you will do it without complaints. I’ve seen how n change their promises when they finally get the woman they have been chasing," Alia carefully touched the throne as she spoke.
"I don’t take back my words. Let’s not avoid my earlier words. Will you do the things on my list?" He touched her hand to bring her attention from the throne to him.
Alia looked up at Killian as she was curious about what he could possibly want. "It would only be fair that I try to do so of the things that are on your list. What is it that you want Killian? At the mont, I have nothing but the things on the way here and they are of no value."
"I don’t want any of your belongings. What I want is for us to start bonding. Our union started because you intrigued but I wouldn’t mind it being sothing more. Not love as yet," Killian clarified because he did not feel that for her yet. Love was an emotion a demon like him was not going to feel for just anyone.
Quite frankly, he doubted he would ever feel that way for soone, even Alia no matter how much she amuses him. He was created to be a weapon who killed without remorse and though he tried to stay away from fights unless soone kept poking at him, it was hard to ignore the urge to shed blood sotis.
"Good. I would have been a little scared if you loved when you hardly know . At least we are on the sa page that we are attracted to each other. Hopefully, love can co at so point. Don’t beat around the bush, Killian. What is it that you want from ? What is sothing more than intriguing you? It is not sex right?" Alia stared at him with suspicion. She was going to stay true to not having sex with him before they were announced husband and wife.
Killian already knew not to push for them to have sex. Besides, he was not a horny dog to want to jump at the chance for them to be that intimate already. He would have tried last night if he was. "I believe the more romantic term for won is making love but that is not what I want. For how helpful I have been and since I have given you what you desired most, isn’t a kiss warranted?"
"Seriously? A kiss was all you wanted. And here I was fearing that it would be sothing bad. Kissing is alright," Alia softly spoke. She enjoyed the last ti they kissed though it had been short. She didn’t mind kissing him in monts like this because it would help calm her heart for the mont they would have to do more than kissing. "You do not need to put kissing on your list. You can do it whenever you want-"
