Chapter 338: Chapter 338

"May I?" Anne asked, holding out her hand to the chains Killian held onto for Richard. "I won’t let him slip out. I promise."

Anne would not allow Richard to pull the chains out of her grasp and get away from her. She would die before she allowed him to get away and hide in this castle though it would be fun to watch the demons hunt him down.

Killian handed Anne the chains so she could do whatever she wanted with her husband. The chains were only too heavy on Richard’s end so he wouldn’t be able to run away unless he wanted to be in a lot of pain. Richard would also have to be a fool to try running away since it would speed up the process of him being hunted by demons.

Alia waited for her mother to take the chains and then drag Richard to the other side of the room to go to Killian’s side.

"I’m a little hurt that you think your husband would keep secrets from you," Killian said, touching his chest. He would keep the trouble he got into with Lucifer because of the things he did for her family to himself in the past, but he wouldn’t now. Not when she stated she wanted to know everything.

Alia would not fall for his lies. "Killian, you are the type of person who will do sothing for

or the people I care about and hide the fact that you got in trouble because of what you did. It is sweet, but I would rather you avoid making Lucifer angry. You two are close, but there is only so much he could take."

Alia mostly feared that in return for letting her father’s soul be eaten, Lucifer would ask for sothing in return and then Killian would have to leave. Lucifer was more focused on his plans being completed to have ti to care about Killian being away from his wife.

"You have only just returned to the castle. Do you want it that you can only see

at night? Is that what it is?" Alia asked, trying to guilt him.

"Why did you have to say so much instead of just saying that you would miss your husband?" Killian asked, taking her right hand, and pulling her close to him. He ignored the way she patted his hand and spoke of her mother being in the sa room. "I am not a fool to try sothing with you when we are in the sa room as your mother. Why would you think such a thing?"

Killian ran the back of his hand down her hair. "Perhaps you have been missing our ti in bed more than I thought. I will make sure to make up what you missed from tonight and every night onward. I will be gentle to not hurt our child."

"There is nothing for you to make up, but you should let

go. I need to go find Lilith," Alia said, trying to fight her way out of his hold. "One of these days I am going to have the strength to flip you on your ass."

’Then you will find out just how much I look forward to it," Killian said, letting go of her.

"There is sothing wrong with you. How can everything turn you on?" Alia muttered, shaking her head at him. She could take a knife to try to kill him, but instead of reacting as everyone else would, Killian would start to undress so they could have sex.

"It is your fault. Don’t act like you don’t have dirty thoughts about -"

"Mother, I will find Lilith and co back. Will you be alright with him?" Alia asked, stepping away from Kilian to check on her mother. "I can have Killian stay here with you and I will take Edith to find Lilith or Edith can stay here with you."

Anne looked up at Killian, leaning on the wall with folded arms. She doubted he would want to leave Alia’s side when he had been away for so long and she didn’t need them here. Alia’s guard was good enough.

"I will be fine with Edith. You can go with Killian and please, take your ti. I have a few more things to say to your father. Be careful on your walk. Do not rush and-"

"I know mother. I will be careful with every step. You didn’t have any concerns about how I walked before I told you that I was pregnant. We should go now so we can find Lilith before the hour ends. I am not certain where she might be at this ti. We will be back soon," Alia said, accepting Killian’s hand he offered her to hold.

She had a feeling that there would not be much talking between her mother and father. A screaming match maybe, but also a few hits. Alia couldn’t be gladder to not witness it. They were still her parents and at this ti, she didn’t want that kind of mory in her mind.

Alia also had a feeling that there was a lot more to her mother and father’s story that she was missing, but she would never hear until her mother was ready. She didn’t mind if her mother wanted to bury the past and move on.

Killian opened the door for Alia and let her walk out first. He took his eyes off her for a mont to look at Edith who was ready to leave and follow Alia. "Go inside and guard her mother. We will be back soon."

"We should also get a guard for my mother while she is here in the castle. When she is not with , she has been with her mothers or Leonard, but she will need one. I can’t bring myself to trust everyone here. Even demons, unfortunately. I hope that doesn’t make

sound like a bad queen," Alia said.

"You would be a fool to trust every single one of the demons here. I don’t and that is why you must always have Edith around you. You don’t seem to enjoy the other two guards you have. They are never around you," Killian said.

Alia was always with Edith, ignoring the two guards who silently walked behind her.

"I don’t know. They always seed like they did not want to guard

and if Agramon presented them with the opportunity to kill , they would. They were certainly loyal to you, but there are many demons who don’t like the fact you married a human. I will stay clear of them even when I turn into a demon. I think I would love to have all won as my guards. What do you think?" Alia questioned, looking up at Killian.

There had to be more won like Edith who would love the opportunity. Not just as her guards, but she wanted to create a space where won could start signing up for jobs they were once turned away from. The castle had plenty of jobs that needed to be filled.

"If that is what you want, I can gather a few won for you to pick. It will help them to guard you in places where n cannot join you. You can make Edith a rank higher than them so you can have her give them orders in tis when you might be busy," Killian answered.

He had seen enough of how protective Edith was to trust her to take on such a job. She was far more skilled than Cyrus in his eyes. Killian hoped that Cyrus was far away from the castle by now to not disturb Alia with his pitiful state. Jahi’s death should remain a secret for a little longer.

"I will do that. As soon as this baby cos out, I will go back to learning to use a weapon. Not with your help. I will get Edith to help . Has anything changed? Do you sense sothing now?" Alia asked, touching her flat belly. It was starting to beco unbearable that Killian had not noticed sothing yet.

There was so much she wanted to do even though it was early. Alia did not want to be delivered the bad news that Lilith was wrong after getting so excited.

"I have noticed that your scent is changing. You sll sweet for every demon around you to want to gobble you up, but you are mine. You are pregnant. You can start getting out of hand with changing up your side of the tower and decorating. Whatever it is you are impatient to do. What will you do about your father’s tower?" Killian asked since there was much to change.

"I will be getting rid of most of his belongings and have the room emptied. So of his things I will add to the room with treasures from past kings. I will do the sa for Fraser’s things that must now be in that tower. It is what is usually done when a king passes. I won’t completely wipe them from this kingdom’s history. I only said that to hurt them," Alia replied.

The Blackwells had a great history that should not be forgotten so she was going to make sure the people of this kingdom still had access to it while she would have the history of Bunes added to their libraries.
