Chapter 328: Chapter 328

Killian left Lilith to continue his hunt for the pest that had made its way into the castle. Just when it was starting to feel peaceful and Alia was starting to relax, this woman would have to show up.

After hearing that Fraser was taken into the underworld, Beth left the castle, and most of the n in court who once backed Richard to make Alia’s days tireso were dead, he looked forward to all of her attention being on him.

Jahi could not live to see the sunrise. Not when Killian was finally going to be here in the castle with Alia all day from tomorrow and when she wasn’t dealing with matters of the kingdom, she was to be focused on him.

He should have never trusted Cyrus to find this woman and take her into the underworld. There was always sothing about Cyrus that annoyed him, but Killian got rid of his hatred for the man to please Alia. Now that hatred was back and there was no way of getting rid of it.

Killian moved in the shadows to hide himself to avoid letting Jahi know that he was on her trail. Lilith disrupted him almost catching Jahi and now the demoness knew that her presence was known.

He followed her scent that he had not forgotten the last ti they stood face to face. He never forgot the scent of soone who was a bother or soone he hated. He paid careful attention to those who hated Alia to pick them out in crowds.

Killian stopped for a mont as he sensed the other one. Leaving Jahi for a mont since she was heading in the opposite direction of where Alia was now, he followed Cyrus who was much closer.

Soft footsteps followed behind Killian and without having to look back to know who was with him, Killian kept walking with the hellhounds following him. He could understand Asura wanting to follow him, but Loki was another story. The dark wolf always preferred to be sowhere lying around.

Killian wouldn’t be surprised if Loki sensed Alia in danger and ca into the castle. There was a small chance they were in the castle hiding sowhere to feed on the bodies scattered over to he castle and spotted him tracking down soone so they joined him like always.

"Asura. Bring him to ," Killian ordered the white wolf. He knew not to waste his breath with Loki who liked to ignore him.

Asura ran ahead of Killian to find the demon who did not belong in the castle.

Killian leaned on the wall beside him and looked down at Loki who sat to wait for Asure to do as she was told. "Why did I keep you?" He muttered, looking at the troubleso wolf. He hoped none of his children would be like the wolf.

All Loki did was have him search for food and sotis have to deal with his bites. If not for Alia taking a liking to Loki, he might have considered taking the hellhound back to the underworld and leaving it there for good.

The sound of sothing being dragged, Asura growling, and curses being spewed were heard coming down the hall.

Cyrus fought against one of the two hellhounds that had wounded him the ti he accompanied Alia out of the castle. He had his sword in his hands to defend himself and get the hound from dragging him, but he rembered how much Alia liked them and couldn’t bring himself to harm it.

He had already failed Alia by not taking Jahi to the underworld. Jahi was quick to avoid him and not give him the chance to convince her to go into the underworld with him. She was stuck on getting revenge on the wrong person.

As much as Cyrus wanted to stab the hellhound with his sword, he knew it wouldn’t heal like he could and it would be forever injured. Alia would be upset to know that not only did he not sneak into the castle and not say a word to her, but he had also wounded one of her pets.

"Get your dog off of ," Cyrus said to Killian. He slled the bastard of a king at the sa ti he heard the hellhound running toward him. He had hoped to go unnoticed by Killian.

"You’ve spent enough ti by Alia’s side to have learned so manners. I thought we got rid of you for good. What the fuck are you doing here?" Killian asked, looking down at Cyrus still pinned down by Asura. "Raise your sword to my pet and I will wipe your existence in this world."

Cyrus gritted his teeth, trying to endure the pain of the hound’s bite. "That is so request when you sent it to attack . I can do whatever I want. It seems you forgot that I was in this castle long before you ca down from the mountain. Alia has made this like a second ho for ."

"You still piss

off. You had one job to take that woman into the underworld and never show up before us again. You’re as stupid as that woman is delusional. Why did Alia entrust you with protecting her? I am yet to understand what it is about you that allowed you to remain by her side for so long," Killian said, inspecting Cyrus for a good quality, but found nothing.

Cyrus was just a stupid demon who could not cut a woman who was causing trouble in his life loose. For a second, Killian almost felt sorry for him.

"Asura is a bit hungry so if she starts snacking on your hand, try not to yell. Don’t interrupt Alia’s night and piss

off more than I already am. Before I go, is that woman still working for Agramon?" Killian asked as he needed to be certain so that when he finished with Jahi he would go down in the underworld to kill Agramon.

"She has not seen him since you sent her out of the north. I’ve been following her since I left Alia’s side. She’s been moving around, following where Alia goes-"

"I already know that," Killian replied, not interested in the long story. He pushed himself off the wall and started to walk in the direction he slled Jahi hiding. A low demon like her could not hide from him forever. The only people in the castle she could sneak around were humans.

"Wait!" Cyrus called out to Killian as he tried to push Asura off of him. He didn’t care if it would cause him to lose his arm. "Take

with you. I will find Jahi and take her far away from here. I will not show up in front of Alia again."

Killian placed his hands behind his back as he kept walking. "I already made the mistake of trusting you to get rid of that woman once and I will not be a fool to do it again. I am not looking to send her away. I will get rid of her permanently."

"Alia won’t be happy to hear that you dealt with Jahi this way. You might be her husband, but I have been a friend for two years. She would not want you to lay a hand on Jahi. To punish her by sending her into the underworld and forbidding her from leaving is what Alia would do," Cyrus said.

He had not gone through all of this for Jahi to end up dead. He only needed to catch up with her and regardless of how much she fought, he would take her back to the underworld and make sure she would not co anywhere near Alia. He cared for both won to not want Jahi to die and Alia to be hurt by Jahi.

Cyrus would have preferred if Jahi could have stopped her misplaced anger toward Alia and settled down in the north with him, but she needed soone to hate for the things she endured while she was captured.

Killian stopped walking and turned to look at Cyrus who surprisingly managed to pry Asura off of him. His arm had a gnarly wound, but Cyrus had gotten up and aid his sword at Asura. It would take a few days for a demon like Cyrus to heal from that wound made by a hellhound.

"Do I look like Alia to you? I have my own way of getting rid of fools and what Alia doesn’t know won’t make her angry, could it? Asura, co here," Killian called to the hound.

"Alia does not like to be lied to-"

"You’ve known my wife for longer than I have, but trust and believe she has never opened up to you as she has to . I wouldn’t have to kill you and your little lover if you had done your job to head into the underworld."

"I was quite ready to help you pack and send you away, but here you are. I’ll kill whoever I need to in order to protect my wife and worry about her anger later. Do not get in my way," Killian warned.

Cyrus should be thankful that he was still alive to speak. As much as Killian wanted to kill Cyrus, the thought of how long Alia would be angry with him filled his mind. Luckily, she didn’t care too much for Jahi.
