Chapter 320: Chapter 320

"I don’t care too much about my marriage stemming from trying to end a war. It has ended wonderfully with

having a man I love and now I own two thrones."

"Honestly, I should be celebrating right now. I should have brought sothing to drink. Are you going to stand there glaring at

forever or sit? The floor would do. I’m sure you are used to it because of your stay in the dungeon," Alia said, looking out the window at the sky.

It was still an odd sight to witness a demon passing by once in a while, but the view from the castle looking down on the town and the open fields was still enjoyable.

"You brought demons to this kingdom. You were raised in the temple. We pray to Gods-"

"If I had not stepped in and asked to be the one leading demons taking over this castle, this kingdom would be in ruins right now. I am sure before our marriage, Killian had plans for us since we took his people off the mountain and made them slaves. Well, I should say my father did. I saved this kingdom," Amalie corrected Fraser.

So many people could have been dead right now if demons did as they liked and went on a feeding frenzy. She had to offer up the souls of those who had been joining her father to use the weak to satisfy the demons or they would get restless.

"The n who terrorised the roads farrs used have all been captured and their souls ate. Most of the n in the court who used their positions to cheat the people out of their money, stole, or abused their power to kill or use soone have all had their souls eaten. I am doing what my father and you for your short reign failed to do," Alia added.

"You’ve killed hundreds of your people to keep those demons fed. What have you done to my mother? I’ll kill you if you do sothing to her," Fraser warned, looking around the room for sothing to use as a weapon while Alia was distracted.

"Your mother took my offer to leave the castle and start living her life. What she does after that has nothing to do with . Perhaps she will be unable to live without you and kill herself or she will settle down quietly," Alia said, peering down the outside of the window to see the demons walking by below.

They had quickly gotten used to being in the living world and acting as guards.

"If Killian was not a demon and you could have sohow killed him, you wouldn’t leave

alive, would you?" Alia asked, facing Fraser once more. She already had a good idea what his answer would be, but she wanted to see if he would be honest.

"I would have let you return to the north," Fraser lied.

He had to lie to protect himself in case she decided to kill him if he said yes. Of course, he would have killed her if he got Killian out of the way. Then he would be the one with two thrones to his na.

Why would he keep Alia alive to sit on the north throne when he could have it for himself? It would have been forever rembered in history if he had gotten the chance to storm the north and claim it.

"I can always tell when you are lying, Fraser. Have you forgotten that I grew up around you? Whenever you lie, you avert your eyes. It’s common for many people to do it. Only the n in court were sowhat good liars. They could hide their lies well which was why my father was so easily fooled."

"You want to know your fate. I am still stuck between letting you rot in the dungeon, letting you fight one-on-one against Killian, or just killing you. Now that I look at you, killing you seems to be the best option. I forgot how much I hated you and it’s all coming back to

now that I look at you. Why didn’t I just kill you fills my mind now," Alia muttered, trying to find good reasoning for why it had not crossed her mind to just kill him.

There was letting him stay locked away to let him think over his actions and maybe lose his mind, but seeing Fraser stand before her with the sa attitude he always had, annoyed her. He was still acting and speaking to her like she was beneath him.

"I don’t really want to let you live," Alia softly admitted.

He would be alone in a room tortured in the underworld if she killed him so her plan of letting him lose his mind would still happen.

"The sight of you really irritates

and letting soone who would kill

in a heartbeat live is starting to make

feel like a fool. I was going easy because you had your head filled by other people, but you had common sense to know right from wrong and you did what you wanted. So, I am not going to let you live," Alia said.

"Be honest that you don’t want

around so the people wouldn’t have another Blackwell to cry out to for help," Fraser said, taking a step forward to Alia. No one ca out from wherever they might be hiding so they were in fact alone. It was only the demons outside the door he needed to be cautious of.

"For the people to turn to soone else for help ans that I would be a bad ruler and therefore, I would step down from the throne. If I ever fail my people, I am more than willing to give up my seat. However, I plan to make it so they will be good under my rule."

"The only issue they have now is the demons, but they will get used to it. Stop trying to sneak up on ," Alia sighed, wishing Fraser would be more aware of his surroundings. "She will kill you if you move again."

Confused, Fraser turned around to see who Alia ant and found the woman who introduced herself as the devil’s wife, standing behind him.

"Hello," Litith greeted, waving her hands. She grew bored hiding so the king would think he could attack Alia. She wanted to see him shaking with fear now that she was here.
