Chapter 304: Chapter 304

"Are you nervous about eting my mother?" Alia asked Killian as they walked to the dining hall.

"I have nothing to be nervous about and it is her who should be nervous about eting with

since I am a demon," Killian replied.

It did not matter who stood before him and wanted to judge the marriage he had with Alia. If her mother suddenly decided that she did not like their union, it was not like he would respect her wishes and end his marriage. The woman already died once, surely she did not want the second ti to co so quickly.

"I doubt mother will be nervous around you because you are a demon when she was raised by witches and this is about eting my husband. Do not mind if she seems to be judging you. She is only trying to make sure I have not ended up in a marriage like her own. She ans well and after the greetings have been made, you will see why I love her so much," Alia promised.

"Have you put in a good word for ? That I am a good husband? If you have, I wish to hear what was said," Killian said. It would be a good boost to his ego to hear Alia speaking highly of him to soone like she was bragging about him.

"We did not get a lot of ti to speak about you, but I have let her know that I love you. If needed I will make sure she knows of all the things you have done for

and how much I love you. If my mother is still the sa, she will just care about my happiness and nothing more. I can feel you smiling at the thought of

speaking about you," Alia said, not having to look at him to know he was excited about it.

"Well, it is a good day whenever I get to hear about my wife loving

and you telling others about it. It is good that I ca back early to not miss this. I would appreciate it if after dinner you tell

and show how much you love

so I am convinced and there is not any doubt in my mind," said Killian.

Alia stopped to look at Killian in disbelief at how many ways he could ask her to make love to him. "You. I don’t even know what to say to you. Please get rid of your dirty thoughts before we et with my mother. I do not want you to be thinking of anything other than getting to know her."

"That is why I suggested we enjoy ourselves before dinner in one of our usual spots. I would have cleaned every inch of you once we were finished in the bathroom. It would have been quick-"

Alia covered Killian’s mouth with her hand. "It would not have been quick and we would have been late. That is why I did not want to do anything with you then and if you do not stop thinking about it now, I will not do anything with you later before you must leave again. Behave in front of my mother and I will make it up to you."

Killian did not need any more convincing than that. "Before we leave," he said, grabbing her hands. "Did you long for

as much as I longed for you?"

"How many tis must you ask this? Do not misunderstand my reply, but I don’t think I can asure up to this obsession you have to always be close to , but I did wish to have you close to . And yes I do desire you in bed as well, but at the mont I am concerned about you eting my mother before my mind can just be on us in bed, so please let this go well," Alia said.

Killian held her hand once more and lifted it to kiss the back. "I will be the best son-in-law your mother has ever seen."

"You have chard

so I know that you can do the sa to her. Tonight will probably be the strangest dinner I have ever attended. There will be demons, witches, and whatever my mother has beco. Oddly enough, I enjoy all of their company. I wonder how it will be for everyone to sit still and talk to each other. The castle feels like it is changing again," Alia said, looking out one of the large windows as she passed it.

Most of the people whom Lilith deed good had returned to their hos. The others were ant to return tomorrow morning for Alia to help judge them. They were warned not to run away since the demons might attack. Alia was inford of the dungeon having many people she needed to make the final call on punishing or releasing to give them a second chance.

"Alia!" Anne called to get Alia’s attention.

Alia looked away from the windows she passed by to her mother standing outside of the dining hall. She could not rember the last day her mother ca here to eat. She would always stay in the tower to avoid her father.

"Mother," Alia smiled as she inspected her mother’s appearance. "You have found your old dresses. I am sorry that I made most of them be burned by the fire I started in your tower."

"I would have burned the tower down myself if you had not done it. It is not sowhere I wish to visit while I am here. I found this old dress in one of the storage rooms. There is a sll, but it looked lovely so I had to wear it. I rember the day it was delivered to the castle, but I never got the chance to wear it," Anne said, looking down at the blue dress with flower patterns.

It reminded her of a dress her mothers failed horribly at making many tis, but they eventually got it right. She liked the dress not only because of its beauty, but because of how hard her mothers worked to get it done for her.

"I don’t look like myself so I do not know if it suits the body I am in now-"

"It does!" Alia exclaid. "It looks wonderful on you now and I am sure it would suit the old you. Right, Killian?" Alia asked in an attempt to make him join the conversation. He was just standing off to the side listening.

"It does suit you," Killian answered. He wondered why Alia wasn’t concerned about where the witches got this body for her mother to use. They had to kill and replace the owner’s soul with Anne’s in the underworld.

"Thank you. Alia, you should go inside and speak to my mothers. They have been wanting to spend so ti with you and I want to have a word alone with your husband," said Anne.

There was much she had to say to the man who married her daughter.

Alia worried about leaving the two alone, but trusted they would not repeat what happened with her grandmother. "Okay," she replied, letting go of Killian’s hands. If they could get along well without her present, she had nothing to worry about in the future.

Anne waited for Alia to be out of sight before she addressed Killian.

"Marrying to end wars between two kingdoms was sothing Alia has always hated. She wanted to beco queen since it was her birthright to sit on the throne, but the n here didn’t believe a woman could rule. We are only good for making future heirs. In the end, she got married so you would not slaughter everyone. If I were alive, I wouldn’t have let her say yes," Anne confessed.

"It is because I believe in her dream to sit on the Blackwell throne and I feared her ending up in a loveless arranged marriage. She is my only child and though she ca from my union with Richard, I love her dearly. I have never loved sothing so much. I died before I could reveal where I ca from and where she could turn to when she needed a family."

"I would have made the wrong choice if I was here to turn her away from marrying you. I watched the two of you as you walked here and to see her smile was enough for

to accept you. This castle has made her so guarded and for many years she built walls around her heart, unable to trust anyone who gets near so easily. I thank you for looking after my daughter and being a kind husband to her. I have nothing that would be worth what you have done-"

"I do not need sothing from you. It is thanks to you that Alia stands by my side as my wife. That is enough for . I only ask that you continue to trust that I will take care of her. No one shall harm her for as long as I am alive," Killian promised.

"That I can do and I believe your words. I look forward to being family with you, Killian Bune. Now, I must seek your help in getting the rest of my soul out of the underworld before I fall back into my ways of needing to feed," Anne said, picking at her nails as the thought of her hunger for human flesh worried her.
