Chapter 232: Chapter 232
"I was wondering where the two of you ran off to. Everyone is ready to et the woman who captured Killian’s heart," Lucifer said, going behind the two to give them a light push toward where the others stood. "We have demons who flew for days to et you, Alia. So of them are quite ugly so try not to stare at them."
"Can’t they hear you?" Alia frowned. It was a nice heads-up, but what he said was definitely heard by others.
"They sure did so it would be rude of you to stare at them when you’ve been warned," Lucifer replied.
"Take your hand off her back," Killian pulled Alia away from Lucifer’s touch.
"You greedy bastard! It’s not like I want to fuck her- What the fuck Lilith?" Lucifer touched the back of his head and stared at Lilith.
"Don’t act as if that hurt you. Didn’t I say to watch your mouth?" Lilith said, tempted to smack him again, but right behind Lucifer was an angry Killian who would beat her to it. She liked Lucifer’s crude language most of the ti, but not in front of Alia who would not be used to it. "Do you want her to think you have no training?"
"I love her," Alia confessed, watching Lilith scold her husband. Alia did not mind what Lucifer said as she had gotten used to the things that ca out of demons’ mouths. Specifically the demon right beside her, but it was fun to see how bold Lilith was with Lucifer.
"Am I to compete with Lilith?" Killian playfully asked.
"There is no competition if I am involved," Lilith replied, winking at Alia. There were so days when she was interested in won and Alia fit her type.
Killian positioned himself to block Alia from Lilith’s vision. He didn’t trust the two of them to be left alone. He didn’t trust Lilith who could seduce a statue into sohow coming alive to sleep with her.
"You have nothing to worry about, Killian. My eyes will never wander to anyone else. I love her like an older sister you look up to. Lilith and I are quite similar. Who should we speak to first?" Alia said, looking around at the differently dressed demons who ruled lands.
"Vaya," Killian introduced a demoness. "She practically lives on the water and controls the seas."
"There are a few areas of sand that I control," Vaya corrected Killian. No one could step foot on many beaches without her permission. "It is a pleasure to et you, Alia Bune. When I heard the news that Killian had gotten married, I flew for days to see if it was true. I’m still surprised," she said, inspecting Alia from head to toe.
"It seems no one expected Killian to ever get married. Thank you for making the long trip here. I hope one day I can see the seas you rule. What is it like out there?" Alia asked, wanting to get to know the woman who reminded her of Vikings because of her attire.
Vaya wore the fur of an animal and armor as she was ready for a fight.
"It is nothing but blue water and clear skies. I prefer it to being on land. I am the first demon to leave the underworld and conquer the sea while all the other fools wanted to rule the land. I don’t have to deal with n like Agramon trying to steal what is mine," said Vaya.
Many demons wanted to stay away from the sea as there were no gates to the underworld around and they were surrounded by water. The only heat ca from the sun and it was hard to find souls to feast on.
"Do you travel with demons only or are humans a part of your crew?" Alia asked.
"I have one human I have kept on my crew for years. All the others have been killed or their souls made for a good al when I was hungry. My crew is made up of the dead and mostly demons. I have a special talent to put souls in let’s say a doll and making them obey my word. I offer my skills to the Queen of the North," Vaya bowed. She wanted to have good ties with Killian. It didn’t matter if she had to use a human to do it.
Vaya had co across many humans during her life out on the sea and though she had killed many of them, there were so captains she respected and worked with from ti to ti.
"King and Queen Bune," Gabriel, a demon who ruled a land filled with sand, greeted the two. "I’m sure talk about water must bore the two of you. I am Samuel, the great ruler of the des-"
"While you knock it off with that ridiculous title you’ve given yourself? No one calls you the great anything and no one wants to hear about sand. There is nothing interesting about the land you rule," Vaya muttered.
"Well, as a demon who guards a gate to the underworld, I would say my land is quite interesting. Your ti out on sea has made you sick in the head Vaya. You need to spend more ti on the sand," Gabriel smiled.
Alia tugged Killian’s arm as she noticed a small fire at Vaya’s fingertips. It was incredible to see how easy it was for soone to make fire and not be burned by it.
"Vaya, try not to burn down my castle. If the two of you want to kill each other, do it outside. You have others to et," Killian said, leading Alia off to greet more rulers. He wanted this over with quickly so he could get that bath he was owed.
"King Killian."
Alie held Killian’s hand tightly as a man with features that reminded her of a snake stood before them. She averted her eyes to not co off as rude. Most of the demons here had a human appearance while others didn’t hide what they were to be easy on her eyes.
Alia didn’t want them to hide their true appearance, but it wasn’t easy to get used to what she was saying. She could not control her heart beating as if she had just finished running.
"Samuel," Killian greeted the man. He squeezed Alia’s hand to help her get through it. This was only the beginning as there were demons with scarier appearances.
"Queen of the North, I am Samuel the serpent demon. I am from the sands Gabriel rule, but I spend most of my ti in the underworld by the devil’s side. It is nice to et you," Samuel said, holding out his hand for her to shake.
Alia stared down at his hand which was full of scales. She swallowed her fear and shook his hand. ’There is nothing to be afraid of. Their appearances are just different,’ she said in her head. "It is a pleasure to et you, Samuel. I notice that a lot of demons seem to have no last na."
"Most of us find it to be unnecessary. We do not need to pass down nas for generations like humans do. I am a keeper of books. The North does not hold enough books about demons. Should you wish to learn more, I can lend you my collection. I am one of the demons who keeps records of everything in the underworld from the very beginning," Samuel said, hinting at the fact that he was an ancient demon.
"Does that an you would be able to find what happened to a soul? I would like to hear about my mother," Alia said. She wished to hear if her mother had passed on to be reborn, if she was still in the underworld, or if there was truly a place in the sky for good people and her mother was there.
