Chapter 223: Chapter 223

"Cyrus, please stay close to Gina when I leave to be with Killian. With so many demons here, I want the four of you protecting her," Alia said, looking over her shoulder at the two other guards. They never spoke and always disappeared when she did not need them. Sotis Alia forgot she had more guards since she spent most of her ti with Cyrus and Edith. The other two were starting to creep her out.

"Is there sothing wrong?" Alia touched Cyrus’s shoulder, sensing that there was sothing off about him today. He was normally silent but she knew when there was sothing wrong with Cyrus.

Gina looked at Cyrus who failed to tell Alia that he planned to leave. Although Gina wanted Alia to quickly talk so sense into Cyrus, she did not want Alia’s big day to be ruined. Not by Cyrus and certainly not by Jahi. Gina hoped the foolish woman had listened to Killian’s threat and would not be showing up today for any reason.

"There is nothing wrong but I need to speak with-"

"Look, Alia. Killian is right there," Gina stepped in between Cyrus and Alia to interrupt their conversation. She did not want Cyrus to ntion having to speak with Alia later as it would weigh Alia’s mind throughout the coronation.

Alia knew sothing was definitely wrong thanks to the way Gina was acting. Sothing happened while she was out of the castle. It worried her why Cyrus was hesitant to speak with her and Gina was trying to interrupt their conversation. "I need to speak with you when this is all over with," she said.

Alia picked up her pace to go where Killian stood. They were on the floor above the throne room, and from the balcony, Alia could look over to see the guests going inside the throne room.

There was a loud crowd of people who did not care to hide what they were here in the north.

Alia slowed down to take in the sight of the demons waiting to et their new queen. There were wings of all sizes and horns that curled like the sheep she saw back ho. Their tongues were what amazed Alia the most. Even from this distance, Alia could see the length of so of the demon’s tongues as they spoke to each other.

She ca to learn there are many different types of demons, but seeing all of their different appearances in one space really put into perspective how each one of them differed from the other.

"I would prefer," Killian placed his finger under Alia’s chin to turn her to look at him. "If you only look at

like that."

"Oh," Alia jolted from his touch. She had not realized how close she had gotten to where Killian was waiting for her. "I am amazed by their appearances. Why is one of their wings bigger than your wings?"

Killian licked his lips, enjoying her competitiveness. "My wings are bigger but it is a hassle to walk around with big wings or fly around with them when I want to go unnoticed. No one should have bigger wings than your dear husband, right."

"What about the devil?" Alia asked. The God of the underworld must have big wings.

"This would be a more interesting conversation if we were talking about who has the bigger manhood," Lilith spoke up from behind Alia. "We all know who wins that one. Where is my husband?"

"Sowhere causing trouble. I would owe you a favor if you can find him and stop him from destroying my castle," Killian said. Lucifer had already broken a statue.

"Why should I help you when I was not invited to your wedding, Killian? I thought we were friends. You’re lucky that I took a liking to your wife. Congratulations on your marriage, Killian," Lilith released Alia’s dress and went up to hug Killian.

Killian had helped her when she first fell into the underworld. He was the one to tell her how to get her soul into a corpse to avoid being eaten by smaller demons who feasted on new souls.

Aside from Lucifer, Lilith genuinely cared for Killian. She knew Killian had helped her because he found her to be an interesting human when they first t, but she was still grateful for his help. She would still be receiving her punishnt in the underworld and never t Lucifer if not for Killian.

"Thank you, Lilith. If not for the humans who scare easily, you would have been invited to the wedding," Killian replied.

"Hmm. You’re forgiven. I am going to find that husband of mine and make him sit still. Excuse , Queen Alia," Lilith bowed.

"I like her," Alia said, watching Lilith walk off to find Lucifer. "She’s given

a lot to think about. All of you can go find sowhere to stand. I will be safe with Killian," she said to Edith, Cyrus, Gina, and her two other guards. No one could reach her to cause harm with Killian right next to her.

"What would it take to get you to dress like this every day?" Killian asked, complinting her appearance. She was dressed like royalty every day since he t her but he liked her appearance today. The red and gold dress suited her, and then there was the shiny tiara neatly placed in her hair.

"A mountain full of gold. Gina did a good job, but it is quite uncomfortable to wear such a puffy dress in this castle that is already hot enough," Alia replied, tugging at the dress which hugged her body. She wanted nothing more than to run outside and slip ice down her dress to cool off. "I might need to start dressing as you do. With my chest exposed so I can stomach the heat," Alia joked.

Killian carefully ran his fingers along her neck down to the swell of her breasts. He listened closely to the sound of her heart beating and the gasp that escaped her mouth after his touch. "I wouldn’t recomnd doing such a thing unless you want a massacre in this castle. Never forget that you married a greedy demon who finds it hard to let others see you even when you are fully clothed like this."
