Chapter 221: Chapter 221
"Did you enjoy yourself yesterday?" Edith asked while sitting on the bed watching Gina move around quickly to prepare Alia.
"I did. Thank you for lending us your ho. It is sothing I would like to do often. It was peaceful," Alia answered. The ti away from the castle had brought her closer to Killian. It was also surprising to learn that she fell asleep on her own without any trouble. "We discovered a few things about each other."
"I bet you did," Edith comnted.
"Edith, I can almost hear the dirty thoughts in your head. It was not a day full of sex. Have you always been this lewd?" Alia asked as she had not noticed it before.
"From the mont I was born," Edith replied with what her mother told her. "I also had my wonderful killing skills. Almost took out one of my sister’s eyes."
Gina looked up from behind Alia’s dress. "You have siblings? Why are we learning about this now?"
"I have a lot of them. So I have never t and will never et no matter how many years I am alive. My parents happen to really love sex and there were a few tis I sneaked around to watch them bring in others to have sex with," Edith smiled. She took out one of her small daggers to clean while Alia got dressed.
"I am starting to see why you are so ssed up," Gina muttered, finally understanding Edith’s personality. "Soone needs to take a look at your parents."
Edith didn’t see the reason why. "So demons might have grown up with almost normal parents but to , my parents were the average demon parents. I am lucky they never tried to eat
or sell
to soone else. My sister almost got fed to hellhounds because she had a hard ti shutting up," Edith chuckled. It was a mory she would never forget.
"I didn’t really worry about it before but now I am concerned about having half-demon children. If they play with other children and hear similar tales, I hope they don’t ever fear that I am one day going to eat them. I need more humans to start living in the north," Alia said, more concerned than ever about her children growing up here.
"You will be fine-"
The bedroom door opening interrupted Edith’s attempt to assure Alia that her children would be sowhat fine.
"Queen Lilith," Edith scrambled to her feet to bow to Lilith. Her siblings would never believe that she got to et the Devil and his wife on the sa day. They were already fuming that she was working as a guard for Alia.
Alia inspected the woman who appeared quite ordinary like her, but there had to be sothing more to this woman who was able to turn from human to demon on her own. Alia looked forward to eting Lilith because Lilith understood what it was like to be a human surrounded by demons and offer advice as a Queen.
"Queen Lilith," Alia bowed her head.
"I have been looking all over for you. Why did Lucifer have to find you first? Did you like the gift I prepared for your wedding night?" Lilith asked, stepping into the room with her hands behind her back as she looked around the room she did not get a good look at the last ti she was there. "Killian’s room is so dark and depressing. Be sure to add your own little touch to brighten up here."
"Thank you for the drinks and candles. It was a nice surprise when Killian and I returned to our room. You can take a seat beside Edith or anywhere you like. I am almost finished getting dressed for the coronation," said Alia.
"I am fine with standing here," Lilith replied. She tilted her head and eyed Alia from head to toe. "I always wonder what the woman Killian would be like. You are close to what I pictured. I hope he is treating you well. Demons tend to forget our feelings are different. What matters to us does not matter to them. Then again, Killian has watched humans for years."
"Killian and I are getting along well. We were on a trip to get to know each other. That is why we were not here when you arrived," Alia explained. She wished she would have been here to greet Lucifer and Lilith when they ca out of the underworld. It would have been an opportunity for her to witness how the underworld gates worked.
"Well aren’t you just the sweetest little thing? I always said Killian would go for soone like you, unlike my husband who had another image of Killian’s wife. For my husband, you wouldn’t be human, but I prefer it this way. Won like you and I have a way to shock all these demons. No one expected
to change into a demon. Not even my husband. You look lovely," Lilith comnted on Alia’s dress.
Lilith’s coronation was nothing like this since she did not care for dresses and crowns but it suited Alia.
"Thank you. It’s all thanks to Gina," Alia pointed to Gina who had not said anything and was hiding behind her. Today was not a good day for Gina as she t the devil, who wore the appearance of a cat at first, and now she was eting a human who changed into a demon.
"Hello," Lilith looked behind Alia. "I can hear your heartbeat rushing. Is it because of
or from eting my husband? I am not a threat, I promise. I can’t keep that promise if you try to harm
or my husband. He’s a powerful God who can protect himself, but I can’t help wanting to defend and kill anyone who tries to harm him."
Gina gulped even though she would never try to hurt the Devil and be on Lilith’s bad side. "N-noted," she replied.
"I miss being around humans like this. I hope we can all get along," said Lilith.
