Chapter 138: Chapter 138

"So, you’re telling

the castle is hot because there is a doorway to the underworld sowhere in this castle? Please tell

there is sothing guarding that freaking door."

Alia looked to Cyrus for the answer since she had failed to ask Killian what was stopping any and everything from using that door to co into this world.

"All gates are guarded. The devil’s dog makes sure no souls leave or any other creature that was banned from the living world," Cyrus.

"A dog? What will a dog do-"

"Cerberus is not like any dog you have here," Alastor appeared out of thin air right in front of Gina. "How could you be so stupid to think the devil’s dog would be ordinary? There is a reason why no one who is not supposed to leave the underworld makes it out. I give you a day before you et your end in the north."

Gina felt all of her fears disappear now that the brute was betting for her to die. "I assure you that won’t happen so get used to seeing my face."

"Hmm," Alastor with a lack of faith she would make it to night ti. She had annoyed him to the point of no return so he would be the one to end her. "Princess, King Killian sent

to inform you that he will be stepping away from the castle much longer than he anticipated. Please stay out of trouble. The castle guards will protect you but stay away from everyone else."

"I know," Alia replied, tempted to roll her eyes but she couldn’t complain when soone was watching out for her safety.

"You are officially the princess’s guard here in the north. If anything happens to her, consider yourself dead. You will need to collect your uniform later and pick out a couple of n to follow your orders when it cos to protecting the princess," Alastor inford Cyrus then he looked at Gina and said, "You need to keep quiet."

Gina stepped forward to say sothing but Alastor disappeared the mont she moved. "Ugh, I just want to hurt that man. I have never been more annoyed or irritated in my life. Must he always be in the castle?"

"And this children, is how I t your father," Alia joked but she could see it seriously happening.

"Like hell, I would ever be with that man. I rather walk up to the door to the underworld and jump inside before ever liking that man. Do not think so poorly of my taste in n," Gina argued.

"It is funny because your taste in n is as low as the underworld," Cyrus took a jab at her love life.

"Since we’re adding things about her love life, I always thought the two of you would fall for each other but now Cyrus has soone. There goes my fantasy," said Alia.

"Oh no," Gina waved her finger side to side in Alia’s face. "The real fantasy was you and Cyrus getting together. The tale of the princess not wanting to get married and on a road to being queen falling in love with her most trusted servant. The entire castle thought of it and I could never deny that I felt there was sothing going on between the two of you."

Alia and Cyrus looked at each other confused as to what about them made others think there would ever be sothing between them.

’He’s like a brother,’ Alia thought.

’She is a princess,’ Cyrus thought.

"None of that matters now as I am getting married and Cyrus is with his woman."

"You see this," Gina pointed to her chest as she rubbed it with her other hand. "That is you rubbing salt into my wounded heart. I was the one looking forward to getting married and yet I am still single. Where is my hunk of a man who wants nothing more than to marry

and sweep

off to the land he owes."

"I don’t want my situation to be a part of your fantasies," Alia muttered. It felt weird because she knew how Gina and her sexual fantasies about her n could get.

"Jahi and I are not together and we most likely never will be," Cyrus clarified before they reached his room.

"What!?" Both Alia and Gina exclaid in unison.

"What did you do?" Alia asked while Gina gave him a suspicious look.

"We were never lovers. My feelings were always one-sided and I didn’t think about her accepting them just because I would find her. We will remain as we were in the past. Just friends," Cyrus said, a tad disappointed but he was getting over it. He was fine with just having her nearby.

"That’s a sha," Gina mumbled as she wanted Cyrus to have soone. He irritated her but she wanted all her friends to find happiness. "What is it about you that she doesn’t like? I an you can be shady, you’re too silent sotis, you’re way too serious-"

"Would you like

to start saying what soone might not like about you?" Cyrus glared at Gina.

Gina waved an imaginary white flag giving up now because Cyrus could be quite brutal with his words when he wanted to be.

Alia laughed at the two. She had missed the two of them when she was just here with Killian. She had to admit that she was glad Gina begged to co to the north. Gina was like her little ball of sunshine in this dark castle.

"Rember she is a little guarded after everything she went through but she wants to try being your friend," Cyrus advised the two before he opened the door.

"Sounds like he’s preparing us for a whole lot of attitude," Gina whispered to alia.

"Gina, please rember that whispering is pointless over here. They can hear us," Alia said, not bothering to lower her voice. "Killian will get sothing from a witch to stop others from eavesdropping on my words. I will get one for you. That is if you are alright with getting sothing from a witch."

"Witches," Gina sighed as the list of things that existed was getting worse. "I should be more scared of a demon than a witch right? As long as I don’t have to et the witch, I will take it. I am starting to see why that brute does not think I will last a day."

Alia patted Gina’s shoulder to reassure her that everything was alright then entered the room. Unlike when they first t, Jiha was standing in the middle of the room looking healthier and wearing a pretty dress that suited her. "Good morning. How was your trip up the mountain?"

Jahi didn’t want to answer but she had to continue with her plan to act as if she cared about the princess and wanted to be her friend in front of Cyrus. "It wasn’t bad. I once lived at the bottom of the mountain and had to travel all the way up to the top so I am used to the travel. It is good to see that you are alive and well."

"Yes, there were many who expected

to die the first night," said Alia.

Jahi smiled as she was one of the people hoping Alia would die during the night. She wasn’t let down yet as it could still happen soon.

"The dress almost fits you quite well. I didn’t have ti to have the royal tailor adjust them for you," Alia comnted on the dress Jahi was wearing which once belonged to her. She had never worn many of the dresses in her closet so when Cyrus ntioned wanting to ask Gina for so of her clothes, Alia had no issue giving them away.

"This is your dress. Wonderful," Jahi clenched her fist. Now it was like she owed the princess sothing. The dress appeared to be new so she thought Cyrus had bought it for her. All Jahi wanted to do now was rip up the dress and all the others.

"There wasn’t enough ti for

to go into town to get dresses for you," Cyrus inford Jahi. He could tell she wasn’t happy with where he got the dresses from. He was more focused on getting her out of the rags she wore to consider she would not want Alia’s clothes. "I will head to town tonight to get dresses for you."

"Why? That is not a dress Alia has worn before. As the person who dresses her, I can confirm that it is practically new. Why waste money on other dresses? I would enjoy being given those dresses since the royal tailor is excellent. Cyrus doesn’t need to waste money right?" Gina questioned Jahi. Cyrus should spend his money on other things, not dresses when Gina saw how much Alia had given him for Jahi. Even ones Alia had been looking forward to wearing.

Jahi forced a smile to agree with Gina. "Yes, he shouldn’t waste money on simple things. Thank you for the dresses, princess."
