Chapter 121: Chapter 121

"Cousin," Fraser greeted Alia by the door of the eting room. He awaited this mont to see Alia fail terribly. Thanks to a tip of information, he learned that none of the n were going to take Alia’s demands seriously and provide their truce deal to Killian.

If Alia tried to pull the sa ridiculous stunt of backing out of the marriage, they would simply ignore it and have Killian take her away by any ans.

It was about ti that Alia learned to keep quiet in Fraser’s opinion. He was never one to enjoy her rebellious personality. She had everything he ever wanted but was never grateful or satisfied. If he was in Alia’s place, he would have followed every command the king gave him. Then again, Alia was a girl with hardly any use.

"Fraser," Alia greeted him back. She wasn’t surprised to see Fraser already in the eting room with a smile he could not hide. "I didn’t see you at breakfast so I assud you left the castle."

"No no. I’ve been studying about the kingdom to know everything I need to know before my coronation in a week. Ah. I always knew that I was destined for sothing great. You see, I was right not to view you as competition for the throne," Fraser patted her shoulder. "That reminds . Did you happen to have a word with your stepmother?"

"Don’t touch

and she’s not my stepmother. I’ve heard that she has been creating a problem with her maids and won’t let anyone in. I have never cared for her to say goodbye or check up on her. There are other things on my mind. The child in her stomach is related to us so you can go and check up on her well-being. She won’t be able to refuse the future king," said Alia.

’I’d rather the little brat in her stomach cease to exist,’ Fraser thought.

He was already set to beco king but it would be a problem in the future if Annabelle were to have a boy and so of the people started to support that boy and tried to kill him to make the little bastard king. Fraser had quite a few people on his side who he could depend on to make sure Annabelle’s child would not see the light of day.

If he wanted his reign to last longer than his uncle’s he needed to be smart. Alia would be going away to the north soon, Annabelle’s child would die, and there were no other relatives to be chosen to beco king if sothing were to happen to Fraser. In his eyes, the castle would have to depend on only him once he killed Annabelle’s child.

"I will check on her after the eting. I’ve been thinking of offering her one of the hos your father owns for her to live in until the child is born. She isn’t taking his death well or the fact that her son won’t be the heir. To be honest, many have started to question how she is so certain her child is a boy. I fear she might’ve gone to the witch doctor. We don’t need such creatures around," Fraser shook his head and entered the eting room.

Alia only wished she could tell Fraser about how many demons they had in the castle at the mont. She didn’t know what abilities demons had compared to witches but she had a feeling they were more dangerous. She was tempted to see Fraser run out of the castle screaming for his life.

Alia would love to be present the day Fraser would find out about demons.

"What’s going on?" Alia heard Fraser’s question inside the room.

"Looks like he noticed my little surprise," she inford Cyrus.

Cyrus was unaware of what Alia ant since he was not around to hear much about her plans these days. "What is happening?"

Alia started to walk inside the eting room and explained. "I knew the court minister would be against what I have prepared and try disrupting the eting so I excluded the court minister from being present for the first eting. I stated that since Killian’s court is not here, the first truce eting should just be with royalty from each side. Then the courts from the two sides would et at a later date at the border."

Alia smiled when she found Fraser staring at her in disbelief when she entered the room. "What do you an, dear cousin?"

"Where the hell are the court ministers? They are supposed to be here by now. It can’t be that all of them are late or have chosen not to attend," said Fraser.

In the eting room, only Fraser, Killian, Margaret, Alia, and Cyrus were present.

"Cyrus, please wait outside," Alia ordered him first since only royals were ant to be here in this room. When Cyrus left, Alia decided to be the one to answer Fraser’s question. "Killian does not have his court with him to provide any suggestion to the truce and be able to voice their concerns before it becos official. Today is only for royals and then both courts will et at the border after I get married and you beco king."

Alia gracefully walked to her seat beside her grandmother.

Fraser didn’t like these odds because he was now outnumbered. Killian and Margaret both liked Alia more than they liked him. Anything he said now would be cast to the side to make Alia happy. "This eting will be biased if we do not have our court here," said Fraser.

Margaret spoke up and said, "When we are in this room, all ties to the people in the room are severed. We are here as royalty, not grandmothers and grandchildren. Everyone must speak their mind and not shoot down an idea because it is soone they dislike. It is ti for you two children to be mature and leave your hatred for each other at the door."

"No one here will be biased, Fraser. It won’t be acceptable and shall be called out right away. You have my word," said Alia.

Fraser did not believe that but he sat down in his designated seat since the eting still had to go on.

"I’ve prepared a list of what the Blackwell will expect from the north and how we will aid the north. A copy of the truces I made is in front of everyone," Alia pointed at the papers for everything to start reading through. "Please go to page two. Due to what has been done in the last two days, we must start with the most important issue. Finding all slaves and returning them."

Alia continued to say, "The Blackwell kingdom will ensure the slave trade is destroyed and will allow for the northern guards to continue to search out lands alongside our guards to find all missing people."

Fraser held up his hand to object. "I will assign soone to lead our n to free the slaves. There is no need for the north to co onto this land. I will have the slaves we freed sent back to the north safely."

"I cannot count on your guards alone to find my people that I have not yet found. It was clear from day one that I am here for my people but none of the court ministers made an effort to create a plan to tackle the slave trade. A group of my n should be permitted to search this kingdom along with your n. The north will need weekly updates of the progress," Killian said, altering the idea to his liking.

"I am not against that. Lady Margaret?" Alia looked at her grandmother since they all needed to vote on it.

"I am fine with that. Northerners should be able to join in looking for northerner slaves. The north will need to provide a list of nas of who will be coming onto our land," Margaret added a clause.

"I guess that is fine," Fraser muttered.

"Okay, I will have it added in the new version. Another thing is building a eting area on the border and selecting a group of individuals not connected to the royals to deal with affairs concerning the two kingdoms-"

"That seems pointless," Fraser interrupted Alia. "We already have a court of n who will be fine for dealing with kingdom affairs and there is no need to et at the border. If the two kingdoms are on good terms, we should be able to et in castles instead of the border."

"That is fine with

but we cannot expect king Killian to always co down from the north to talk. As king, you will have to travel with so of the n from the court to the north. You are aware of that right? If you are fine with it, that suggestion will be changed if everyone else votes on it," Alia said, knowing Fraser would not want to go to the north.

Whatever Fraser planned to ugo against, Alia already knew how to change things back in her favor.
