"Alright, let’s send a group just in case. This mission is incredibly important, and nothing can go wrong," Black reiterated. Their eting swiftly concluded as each of them departed for their respective regions.

Unbeknownst to Adrian, he had just beco a man with a target on his back.

The next few days were spent in peace. Adrian would spend his days practising his sword techniques and alchemy, while his nights were spent cultivating inside the blood star.

Cultivating in the presence of the rainbow rose was much better than cultivating in his room, so the choice was a no-brainer. Of course, he had to take note of the ti, he didn’t want the kids to freak out if they one day ca into his room and didn’t find him there.

He obviously didn’t want to inform them about the blood star. It wasn’t that he didn’t trust them, but that the information would do them no good. It might even bring harm to them.

After about a week, Adrian sets out into the city again. His funds had already run out a long ti ago, and they were only surviving off the money he had left behind before his trip into the mountains.

One would have expected that he would have made a fortune from the space ring of the disciples of the Cloudcrest sect, however, the reality was disappointing. All of them had very few qi stones. Their storage rings were mostly filled with so rank 1 and 2 pills that weren’t useful to him. So herbs which they had discovered were also present.

He chuckled a bit when he rembered the scene of Robert yelling at him for his lack of funds when in reality, he was the poorest of them all.

Of course, their lack of qi stones didn’t an they were poor. Most sects preferred to use a different form of currency known as ’sect points’. The resources in most sects can only be accessed through sect points, which makes qi stones useless for disciples of sects.

Of course, they didn’t discard them completely. After all, sect points were only useful within the sect. Once one leaves the premises of the sect, they beco useless.

As he discarded his irrelevant thoughts, Adrian strode leisurely in the streets.

He needed to make more money. He was planning on selling so of the herbs and pills he had accumulated within his storage ring. This wouldn’t earn him much, but he didn’t mind. He was mainly doing it to discard irrelevant junk.

His real money maker was the corpse of the rank 3 beast. Magical beasts provided a large amount of energy and were the preferred als of cultivators. Ordinary foods wouldn’t be able to provide the insane amount of energy needed by a cultivator, which is why magical beasts’ at sells really well.

However, Adrian didn’t know how much he could get for such a piece of at. Therefore, he headed to the nearest market and entered pretending to be a custor. He wanders around and haggles with a few butchers to get a preliminary understanding of the price of those types of goods.

He stylishly asked about their prices for large amounts of at while pretending that he was inquiring on behalf of a new restaurant that wanted to sell dishes made of magical beasts. He gained much useful information this way before leaving the market, towards his real goal.

Adrian leisurely made his way toward the centre of the city in search of a dium-sized inn. He decided not to sell his goods to the inn where he was currently staying. Firstly, he didn’t want to sell it to a place that was familiar to him. If he sold it to them, they could start having so ideas towards him and his family.

Also, his current inn was located on the outskirts of the city near the city gates. Even though it was also considered a mid-sized inn, they were not comparable to those located in the heart of the city. They might only offer him a low price because of their lack of clientele.

After all, purchasing als made of rank 3 beasts signifies that your pockets are deep. Ordinary cultivators wouldn’t be able to afford it.

After strolling for a while, he finally found a suitable candidate. A fairly large structure stood in front of him as he arrived in front of it.

He entered it and was greeted by a lively scene of patrons dining. The inn had a total of four floors. The ground and first floors functioned as restaurants where guests could dine and have their als.

Of course, it wasn’t limited to only people looking for rooms. Such a foolish decision would have no doubt run them out of business a long ti ago.

The second and third floors were where the rooms were, with the fourth floor being used for managent. Of course, like any other mid-sized inn, they had various courtyards for rent surrounding the primary structure.

Adrian casually picked a table in a fairly quiet section on the restaurant’s first floor. His seat was next to a window, so he could observe those coming and going on the street. He only had to wait for a few monts before a waiter approached him with a professional smile on her face.

"Dear custor, what can I get for you?" She asked with a practiced tone. Adrian casually picked out a few dishes on the nu along with so wine. The waiter soon left in order to get his food, leaving Adrian enjoying his view.

It didn’t take long for her to return with his dishes as he silently enjoyed his view. His silence, along with his hood, made the waiter a bit uncomfortable, but she didn’t let it show on her face.

"Dear custor, is that all?" She asked with the sa professional smile. However, the response she received this ti surprised her quite a bit.

"I wish to speak to a manager. Tell them I have so business for them." He replied in an aloof tone. Now the waitress was caught in a dilemma. On one hand, she didn’t want to disturb the managers for such a shady custor, but on the other hand, her refusal could cause the inn to lose out on a supposed business deal.
