While Lucas remained engrossed in checking his status panel, the third section’s teacher, Mr. Helen, had already stepped onto the platform, commanding the attention of his students.
"Alright, students. Let’s begin roll call. And rember—no sad faces today," he said with a calm but firm voice. "Recall what I told you before we left the classroom."
His reminder seed to ease so of the tension hanging in the air, though unease still lingered in many young hearts.
One by one, nas were called. One by one, students approached the stage to undergo the class awakening.
Compared to the prior class, Helen’s students were showing remarkable results. Out of thirteen students so far, only two had failed. Four had even awakened combat-type classes—two warriors, one archer, and one martial artist.
Then ca the fourteenth na.
"Evan!"
Lost in a web of thoughts, Evan didn’t react.
A sudden tug on his sleeve pulled him back to reality. He turned to find a classmate motioning frantically.
“…What?” he asked, slightly confused.
The student pointed ahead.
Mr. Helen stood there with arms crossed, irritation etched across his face. “Evan, how long do you intend to daydream? We’ve been calling you for a while.”
Evan scratched the back of his neck with a sheepish smile. “Sorry, sir. I guess I was just... nervous.”
“Hmph. Be more mindful, Evan. Life doesn’t always offer second chances,” Helen said, though there was no real malice in his voice.
He nodded toward the formation area.
{Evan’s POV}
Ever since the awakening ceremony began, my mind had been busy spinning—mostly about Lucas.
He’d probably gotten so kind of cheat skill or hidden class. Knowing him, he was likely smiling to himself like he’d just won the lottery.
But before I could entertain that theory any further, I was pulled back to reality—literally.
My na had been called.
I put on an awkward smile and stumbled through a clumsy excuse. Thankfully, Mr. Helen bought it, or maybe he simply understood. Either way, he let proceed.
I walked toward the formation with calm steps, though I could feel eyes burning into from every corner of the room.
Let’s just get this over with. Whether I get a class or not, I’ll manage. No class ans no attention. I’m fine with that.
“Place your hand on the crystal,” Miriam instructed. “Do not remove it, no matter how it feels.”
I nodded quietly.
The surface was cool to the touch—rough yet smooth at the sa ti. Familiar.
I had done this twice before. I knew what to expect. Or so I thought.
The formation activated.
Mana began surging into , targeting my lower abdon. After a few pulses, it crashed against sothing deep inside—again and again—until finally, the internal barrier shattered.
My mana veins opened.
The mont I realized it, a fiery figure began taking form above —an ethereal silhouette wielding a blazing blade. Gasps echoed through the crowd.
“Is that… a high-rank Magic Swordsman?”
But just as the apparition solidified, it abruptly shattered.
The image disintegrated into mana dust.
Murmurs broke out. So questioned the crystal. Others brought up Lucas’s earlier anomaly.
But I stood there, puzzled.
Why didn’t the system notify ?Where was the usual notification for my awakened class?
Just as Principal Miriam began stepping forward—
FWOOM!
The crystal pulsed again—this ti brighter. It was awakening ... again?
I braced myself, preparing for another surge of mana.
But what ca next wasn’t mana—it was a sound.
{Ding! The Nexus System is booting up...}{A ssage for the host has been detected. Click to open.}
I hesitated, but my instincts whispered: Open it.
I couldn’t move my body anyway. I felt paralyzed—like my body had been frozen in ti.

I blinked.
My entire body trembled—not from fear, but sheer disbelief.
What kind of class… what level of absurdity did I just obtain?
My classmates stared, wide-eyed.Even Miriam had paused mid-breath.
Principal Miriam… took a step back.
I was stunned. My lips moved, but no words ca out.
This... wasn't just awakening.
This was the beginning of sothing else.
