"Xu Tian, I gave you a chance," he said. "All you had to do was stay at ho and be a good wife and mother, not so greedy, and none of this would have happened. Bla yourself."

Xu Tian protected Cheng Zhiwei behind her, watching those people warily.

"I’m sorry..."

A hand grasped hers from behind.

Xu Tian froze.

Cheng Zhiwei gestured outward with her mouth, "Soone’s coming."

Xu Tian hadn’t grasped what it ant that soone was coming; He Lanzhi wouldn’t care how many people saw.

The next second, a row of neatly-dressed black-suited bodyguards encircled them. Zhou Lin strode over, his face looking extrely grim.

Xu Tian’s heart settled down; Zhou Lin wouldn’t let Cheng Zhiwei get hurt by He Lanzhi.

He Lanzhi was dragged out of the car.

Without his wheelchair, he couldn’t maintain his dignity and had to sit on the ground in disarray.

"Zhou Lin," He Lanzhi sneered, "you’re really attentive to Cheng Zhiwei now."

Their brotherhood was long dead, and his current predicant was all Zhou Lin’s doing.

He Lanzhi didn’t bother to pretend anymore.

Zhou Lin looked down, his expression cool and detached, gazing down at him, "He Lanzhi, you actually had many chances to back down."

It’s a pity he had to persist in his stubbornness.

"Back down? I’m just taking back what’s mine and, incidentally, teaching a lesson to the one who made like this. Was I wrong?" He Lanzhi started to laugh maniacally.

"As for what you did for Seo Zhenzhen back then, what I’m doing now is just a drop in the ocean," he said, deliberately bringing up Seo Zhenzhen.

That way, he could provoke Cheng Zhiwei; if he suffered, so should everyone else.

But Cheng Zhiwei’s expression didn’t change a bit.

Not to ntion anger.

Zhou Lin said indifferently, "This ti, no one is going to pay to bail you out. Enjoy the rest of your life."

The best way to deal with He Lanzhi was to have him locked up again, where he would understand what it was like to prefer death to life.

He Lanzhi’s face turned pale.

He wanted to plead for rcy, but the chance had already slipped away.

Cheng Zhiwei and Xu Tian went to the car, watching the police take He Lanzhi away.

Xu Tian let out a relieved sigh, "This ti, he definitely won’t get out."

He Lanzhi had to pay for his actions.

And this ti, no one could save him.

Thinking of a future without such a man in her life, Xu Tian’s mood lifted instantly.

Cheng Zhiwei squeezed her hand comfortingly.

Just then, Cheng Zhiwei’s phone rang—it was a call from Wang i.

"Zhiwei, did you pick up Yangyang and Xingxing?"

Cheng Zhiwei sat up straight, "No, what’s wrong?"

"They’re missing."

The school’s surveillance showed that Cheng Yang, Cheng Xing, and Zhou Ruoki left the school in line, but the mont the teacher turned away, they broke from the group and headed in a different direction.

Cheng Zhiwei felt weak in the knees, barely able to stand, supporting herself on the corner of the desk, rembering the day Seo Zhenzhen died for so reason.

The day Seo Zhenzhen died was Cheng Yang and Cheng Xing’s birthday. She waited downstairs, asking Zhou Ruoki to lure Cheng Yang and Cheng Xing down and take them away, but Zhou Ruoki didn’t do it.

And then Seo Zhenzhen died.

Could it be that because of this, Zhou Ruoki lured the children away?

At the thought, Cheng Zhiwei almost fainted.

On one hand, she felt Zhou Ruoki was still too young to have such intentions; yet, on the other, she acknowledged that despite his youth, he was very clever.

It wasn’t impossible for him to do such a thing.

Her face turned pale, and she staggered nearly fainting.

Zhou Lin caught her, supporting her by the waist, "We’re already looking. Don’t panic; all three of them will be fine."

Cheng Zhiwei looked up at him, tears filling her eyes. She opened her mouth, wanting to suggest that this incident might be related to Zhou Ruoki, but without evidence, she couldn’t just speculate.

She had to hold back, "Okay."

He Mingzhu arrived quickly, saying worriedly, "I’ve also asked my people to help look for them."

When Cheng Zhiwei saw He Mingzhu, she quickly restrained her emotions, turned around, and clutched Zhou Lin’s clothing tightly, "Find them."

"Okay," Zhou Lin replied, touching her cheek intimately.

He Mingzhu’s expression cooled so, as if she intentionally created the opportunity for them to be alone together.

Once on the side, she imdiately asked her own people, "Any luck?"

Zhou Ruoki had obediently found the chance and brought the two children out.

But sohow, he didn’t go to the place she had ntioned, possibly got lost.

People from He Mingzhu were also looking for them.

"President Zhou has taken over the surveillance, we cannot check; we can only look around nearby."

"Quickly," He Mingzhu ordered emotionlessly; she had to find the children before Zhou Lin and Cheng Zhiwei.

"Yes."

Ten minutes later, soone from He Mingzhu’s side reported, "We found them."

He Mingzhu looked toward Zhou Lin, who was on the phone at that mont, and imdiately asked, "Where?"

"At a nearby KFC."

He Mingzhu’s face turned icy, "They still have the nerve to eat, huh, useless."

When the car arrived outside of KFC, He Mingzhu looked out the car window and saw the three children sitting at a table inside, eating fries.

There was no one else in the entire store.

"Have them take the children out, and keep it low-key," He Mingzhu ordered.

She looked forward to seeing Cheng Zhiwei kneeling on the ground begging her.

The divorced bitch, why couldn’t she just quietly go away?

She couldn’t help but curl the corners of her mouth.

Cheng Zhiwei, oh Cheng Zhiwei, you will pay for your impulsiveness.

As she watched the children finish and get ready to leave hand in hand, her expression subtly changed, she tapped her earpiece and said swiftly, "Return imdiately."

About a minute later, soone got into the car and asked in a low voice, "Miss."

He Mingzhu clenched the car door handle, her voice firm, "Go."

The car imdiately rged into the traffic and left.

"Miss, what happened?"

He Mingzhu looked at the deserted street through the rearview mirror.

Her voice was extrely tense, "Zhou Lin... is really not to be underestimated."

"President Zhou?" Her subordinate was puzzled, "President Zhou isn’t here."

"That big KFC, and it’s the ti when school is out, yet apart from those three children, there’s not a single custor—do you think that’s normal?"

Her subordinate imdiately looked back and indeed saw several bodyguards appearing at the store’s entrance.

If he had gone to grab the children, he would have been caught like fish in a barrel by those bodyguards.

Cold sweat broke out.

"He did it on purpose."

He Mingzhu ground her teeth, "Not intentionally, I just thought wrong; after all, Zhou Ruoki is Zhou Lin’s son, how could there not be people around him?"

She thought she had sothing over Cheng Zhiwei to control her.

But she almost got caught by Zhou Lin’s people instead.

All her efforts wasted.
