Cheng Zhiwei’s words were full of irony.

He Lanzhi’s face changed, and she defended Seo Zhenzhen, "What’s it to you?"

Cheng Zhiwei found it a bit amusing, "It’s true, it’s none of my business. It’s just that when I think about the relationship between the three of you, you love her, and she loves him. I just found it interesting, that’s all."

Her dismissive tone of contempt nearly made Seo Zhenzhen grind her teeth to dust.

Cheng Zhiwei went over to choose jewelry.

Cheng Zhiyin whispered to her, "We could bring out the recording, she won’t be able to refute it."

Cheng Zhiwei shook her head, "He Lanzhi has one hundred percent trust in Seo Zhenzhen, besides, it’s just a recording."

The recording didn’t ntion anything specific, and Seo Zhenzhen could simply claim she made it up to appease Huang Ye.

This was not the right ti to reveal it.

Cheng Zhiyin nodded.

Just then, two won entered from the door. Initially, Cheng Zhiwei paid no attention until she heard a ruckus.

"You shaless thing, how dare you seduce my son," a voice shouted angrily.

Cheng Zhiwei turned around to see a middle-aged woman who was grabbing Seo Zhenzhen, delivering two vicious slaps, "Let tell you, my son is already engaged. You shaless howrecker, don’t even dream about stepping into my house."

He Lanzhi is engaged?

Which girl is so unlucky?

Cheng Zhiwei was intrigued, and at this mont, she noticed the middle-aged woman was accompanied by a young woman who looked very familiar.

Cheng Zhiyin whispered, "Xu Tian?"

Cheng Zhiwei paused, scrutinizing Xu Tian more carefully. Although she hadn’t seen her for a long ti and her mory of her wasn’t strong, seeing her felt especially familiar.

But could she be the one engaged to He Lanzhi, the unlucky one?

Xu Tian, with her arms folded, looked at Seo Zhenzhen with a mocking smile and said sarcastically, "Seo Zhenzhen, what’s the matter, you’re done clinging to Zhou Lin and now coming to be He Lanzhi’s mistress?"

Seo Zhenzhen’s face looked particularly hideous, especially now with Cheng Zhiwei also present, not to ntion the shop clerks’ shocked and disdainful glances.

However, she quickly recovered, defending herself righteously, "He Lanzhi and I are just ordinary friends. Don’t spout nonsense here."

"Ordinary friends co to pick out rings? Do you think I’m blind?"

By this ti, He Lanzhi had already extricated Seo Zhenzhen from Mother He’s grasp and shielded her behind him, grinding his teeth, "Xu Tian, why are you spouting nonsense here?"

"Shut your mouth," Mother He lost all pretense of a dignified lady, her voice filled with anger, "He Lanzhi, don’t forget the warning I gave you last ti. I forbid you to associate with this vile woman. Rember that you’re still relying on for your allowance."

After hurting Cheng Zhiwei previously, He Lanzhi had been ordered to go abroad for a few months. Upon his return, he hadn’t changed at all, prompting Mother He to take control of his finances, preventing him from living a lavish lifestyle, especially restricting him from spending money on Seo Zhenzhen.

At the sa ti, there was the arranged marriage with the Xu Family.

Madam Xu, wanting to drive Xu Tian away, and the He family, looking for a capable daughter-in-law, found common ground. Thus, Xu Tian was chosen.

Xu Tian had no choice but to accept.

Of course, she didn’t like He Lanzhi. She had co out this ti because she had received news about He Lanzhi and Seo Zhenzhen appearing together and had specifically brought Mother He to see it. She wanted Mother He to understand that it was her own son who was worthless, not Xu Tian’s fault.

Only then did she have the confidence in front of He Lanzhi.

"Mom, what’s so good about her? She’s just a money-making machine. I will never agree to spend my life with such a woman," He Lanzhi said, "You were the ones who insisted on the engagent, but at the wedding, you will definitely not see the groom."

He spoke with finality, and Mother He was fuming. She couldn’t do anything to her own son, but she could take her anger out on Seo Zhenzhen, so she pointed at her and scolded, "Seo Zhenzhen, let tell you, if you don’t stay away from my son, I’ll make sure you can’t get by in Yucheng."

"Auntie, Lanzhi and I are just friends," she said with teary eyes, looking at Xu Tian, "Miss Xu, you are Lanzhi’s fiancée, but that doesn’t an you can stop him from having friends."

"Ordinary friends go ring shopping together?" Xu Tian’s words dripped with sarcasm.

Mother He pulled He Lanzhi away, "Co with ."

Seo Zhenzhen’s mouth quivered weakly, and she clung to He Lanzhi’s arm, "Lanzhi is free; he has his own thoughts."

She spoke with righteous indignation.

Mother He was so angry she saw spots and slapped Seo Zhenzhen across the face again.

Seo Zhenzhen bit her lip, close to tears, and He Lanzhi’s heart ached imnsely, his own eyes reddening, "You have demanded this and that of since I was little, not giving any freedom. Now that I’m an adult, you still want to interfere in my marriage and whom I befriend, you are being too much."

"He Lanzhi," Xu Tian couldn’t listen anymore, and frowned, "They are only looking out for you."

He Lanzhi looked at her scornfully, "What right do you, a bastard, have to say such things? Let tell you, I will never marry you."

Xu Tian’s face slightly changed.

Mother He said coldly, "Seo Zhenzhen, get away from my son right now, imdiately."

"Auntie, that’s going too far." The man’s voice ca from outside, sharp and penetrating.

Cheng Zhiwei was enjoying the drama imnsely when Zhou Lin’s voice suddenly caught his attention; the smile in his eyes deepened but did not reach his eyes.

"Zhou Lin, you and Lanzhi are good friends, help your auntie convince Lanzhi not to hang out with this indecent woman," Mother He pleaded with Zhou Lin, "He’s under so kind of evil spell."

Seo Zhenzhen bit her lip, looking wronged, "Ah Lin, you’re here."

Zhou Lin, expressionless, glanced at the rings still laid out on the counter behind her. After not seeing her for many days, his attitude towards her could only be described as indifferent, "You and Lanzhi are picking out rings?"

Seo Zhenzhen sobbed pitifully, "No, that’s not it. Lanzhi wanted to pick out a ring for Miss Xu but wasn’t sure what style won like, so he asked for help. Please don’t misunderstand."

Her rush to clarify made He Lanzhi’s face darken instantaneously.

Still, he followed Seo Zhenzhen’s lead and expressed his disgust towards Xu Tian, "Exactly, Zhenzhen was just helping pick out a ring for you. Why are you so petty, blaming Zhenzhen for everything?"

All the fault beca Xu Tian’s.

Xu Tian laughed out loud, "Young Master He, if you like her, just openly admit it. I’m not preventing you from keeping her."

She didn’t like He Lanzhi and didn’t care if He Lanzhi liked Seo Zhenzhen; but with her in the picture, Seo Zhenzhen could only ever be the other woman.

Seo Zhenzhen’s face flushed red as she began to cry, "Xu Tian, what do you an by that?"

"Enough." Zhou Lin frowned and gave Xu Tian a warning glance.

"Ah Lin, why are you here?" Cheng Zhiwei spoke up with a beaming smile, "Did you co for Miss Seo?"

Her tone was gentle with no hint of displeasure.

Zhou Lin approached her, leaned down, and tenderly kissed her forehead. "I ca to pick you up. You’ve been shopping for a while; you must be tired. It’s ti to go ho."
