Chapter 51: Chapter 51 Loved Him, Hated Him, Now I Just Want to Leave Him

Cheng Zhiwei struggled, like a cat with its fur on end, "You are sick, and I, am not hungry right now."

Her whole body radiated resistance towards Zhou Lin.

Zhou Lin was acutely aware of it, and precisely because of this, he did not slacken his grip at all. In fact, he held on even tighter, "It’s just a al, what are you being so finicky about?"

Cheng Zhiwei was dragged down to eat.

The al Zhou Lin referred to was actually just takeout delivered to their door.

When the doorbell rang, Zhou Lin was drinking water in the kitchen, and Cheng Zhiwei went to answer the door.

Outside the door, instead of the delivery person, stood ng Qiancheng.

"Weiwei," ng Qiancheng smiled tenderly, lifting the bag in his hand, "I passed by the alley entrance near your school and brought you the pancake you love the most, still hot."

At that mont, Cheng Zhiwei looked at him and thought of Zhang Yuanheng’s words and didn’t know what to say, standing frozen at the entrance.

ng Qiancheng noticed sothing off in her deanor, his expression grew slightly fainter, "What’s wrong?"

"Excuse , you’re in the way," Zhou Lin’s eyes were deep, he glanced lightly at ng Qiancheng and then at the bag in his hand.

He hadn’t said anything, but that look conveyed disdain and contempt, as if the thing ng Qiancheng was holding was sothing disgraceful.

ng Qiancheng tightened his grip on the bag, his knuckles turning white.

In that mont, a restaurant worker dressed in a white shirt and black vest entered, carrying two large food boxes and respectfully addressing Zhou Lin, "Young President Zhou, here is the al you ordered."

ng Qiancheng glanced down, the bright red lacquered wood of the food boxes, and the four gold-embossed characters "Taste of the World" were particularly glaring.

Taste of the World was the best restaurant in Yucheng. It was called a restaurant because, amidst the homogeneity of hotels, it preserved the most ancient style, even the building was decorated with overhanging eaves and carved ridges.

The cost of a al there started at four figures.

In comparison to a ten-yuan pancake, it was like comparing the earth to the heavens.

"Co in," Zhou Lin walked inside and after a few steps turned back, saying nonchalantly, "Zhiwei, since Doctor ng went out of his way to the alley near the school to buy you a pancake so sincerely, why not invite him to have lunch with us before leaving?"

Cheng Zhiwei bit her lip imperceptibly. Zhou Lin always knew exactly how to precisely trample on a person’s dignity.

She was about to speak when ng Qiancheng’s solemn expression returned to a smile, his gold-rimd glasses reflecting a slight chill, "There’s no need for lunch. The pancake wasn’t specially bought for Weiwei. I was just visiting a teacher and happened to pass by, and it so happened that I rembered Weiwei loves it, so I bought one to bring over. I didn’t know Young President Zhou was at ho, otherwise, I would have bought another."

His words said it wasn’t special, yet he emphasized it was coincidental.

The air was tinged with gunpowder.

Cheng Zhiwei felt sowhat awkward. Although she still had many questions about her throat condition to ask ng Qiancheng, between him and Zhou Lin, Cheng Zhiwei chose to stand by ng Qiancheng’s side at that mont.

She smiled and accepted the pancake, "Thank you, Brother Qiancheng."

The corners of ng Qiancheng’s lips curled into a deeper smile, "Then I’ll be going. You should go to the hospital for nebulization tomorrow morning; I’ll co pick you up."

Cheng Zhiwei agreed, "Okay."

She saw ng Qiancheng off to his car before turning back inside.

The scent of food assailed her senses; Cheng Zhiwei, holding the bag, went to the kitchen. As she passed by, she glanced at the food on the dining table, which was complete in color, fragrance, and taste.

It instead made the pancake in her hand seem greasy.

She stood in the kitchen and nibbled at it. She could hardly eat anymore. Pancakes are best when fresh off the stove; the one ng Qiancheng brought had already gone soft and was also a bit cold. Her throat was already uncomfortable, and now it felt scratchy.

Zhou Lin waited by the dining table for a while, and when Cheng Zhiwei still didn’t co over, he leisurely began to speak, "Co here, let’s talk."

Cheng Zhiwei carried her plate over, the golden pancakes looked dull amidst the table full of exquisite dishes.

Zhou Lin scoffed contemptuously, with innate arrogance, "Eat, I’m paying."

Cheng Zhiwei took a slow bite of the pancake, no matter how delicious the other dishes on the table were, the person sitting opposite her was soone she wanted desperately to avoid; thus, she couldn’t swallow a single bite of the food.

A trace of cold self-mocking flashed through Zhou Lin’s eyes.

He stopped paying attention to Cheng Zhiwei and started eating on his own.

Cheng Zhiwei’s pancake was still more than half uneaten when Zhou Lin was almost done, she spoke indifferently, "What about?"

Zhou Lin put down his chopsticks and served a bowl of soup in front of Cheng Zhiwei, "About Zhuzhu’s matter."

Cheng Zhiwei looked at Zhou Lin with mockery in her eyes and brows, it had finally co to this. This ti Bai Zhuzhu had made the first mistake and was being suppressed by Lin Yu; Zhou Lin had no reason to excuse her and would inevitably co to her, the person involved.

She had been waiting for this.

"What do you want?" Zhou Lin’s slender fingers tapped on the table, matching well with the white porcelain bowl, exhibiting the privileged life of a noble young master.

Cheng Zhiwei lifted the corners of her lips and uttered two words, "A divorce."

Zhou Lin pursed his lips; dark shadows flashed in his eyes as if a dark storm was brewing, "Besides divorce."

"Then there’s nothing to talk about," Cheng Zhiwei leaned back in her chair, her gaze shallow.

Her only demand now was a divorce, but Zhou Lin was unwilling.

She didn’t know what the point was in such a marriage that only brought mutual tornt, of course, for Zhou Lin, it was a perfect opportunity to tornt her.

After all, this had once been what she wanted most.

"Cheng Zhiwei, I’m saying, besides a divorce, you can na any other conditions," Zhou Lin spoke clearly, "Jewelry, or the best resources, or even going public with our relationship, whatever you desire."

He could give her anything.

Such terms were very tempting; if Cheng Zhiwei asked for the sky, she could even obtain wealth that would allow her to live the rest of her life in extravagance, or perhaps beco a top singer at the pinnacle of the pyramid.

Cheng Zhiwei glanced at the pancake in front of her with even deeper scorn in her eyes; this was so typical of Zhou Lin, forever self-absorbed.

But she, who had loved him and hated him, now only wanted to leave him.

"Divorce, and I will persuade my mother to drop the charges against Bai Zhuzhu," Cheng Zhiwei stood up, calmly repeating her condition.

"I said, apart from a divorce."

The atmosphere grew tense.

Cheng Zhiwei glanced at the food on the table and suddenly laughed softly, "You had all this food brought over, and they’re all to my taste. Are you doing this out of guilt, or do you think this one al will win

over and make

forgive Bai Zhuzhu?"

All her forbearance erupted because he was still protecting Bai Zhuzhu.

"Zhou Lin, you’re really disgusting."

Darkness spread in Zhou Lin’s eyes, as black as ink and colder than ice. He slowly stood up, looking down on Cheng Zhiwei from a superior height, "You think these things are

trying to please you?"

He had specifically ordered a soup good for the throat to be sent to her; she ignored it yet cherished the greasy, cold pancake.

Hostility grew more and more pronounced.
